GoogleDespite taking over £2000 as an annual payment to “collect rent” from the tenant, the tenant is a week late with their rent and I have zero substantive update from Chestertons. This follows a complete nightmare at the start of the tenancy due to what appears to have been wilful misleading communication. One would think they’d go out of their way to make it up to aggrieved landlords/ladies. Apparently not. AVOID.

GoogleAsked for a valuation, estate agent turned up thoroughly unprepared. Undervalued the house and did not know anything about the area or recent sales of near identical houses at higher prices. I chose to use another estate agent. The problem is that they will not now leave me alone, this is a year later! Endless marketing calls and emails and my repeated attempts to ask them to stop have come to nothing. No other estate agent has done this. The latest muppet at the company tried to justify the lack of any option to remove my data from their lists in their email on the basis this was a business email rather than marketing. I look forward to seeing what the information commissioner has to say about this, as that seems the only option to stop the endless hassle from this company. Best advice, avoid them at all costs.
