GoogleI rented a property (IG11 7GT) through Chase Evans Lettings from October 2022 until the end of November 2025. Throughout the tenancy, I dealt directly with them for rent payments, the initial deposit, and all property-related matters. Unfortunately, their service was not consistently up to standard. Shortly after moving in, we experienced a bed bug issue which required repeated follow-ups and escalation before it was properly addressed. Communication during such matters was often slow and required unnecessary chasing. What is most disappointing is the handling of our deposit after vacating the property at the end of November 2025. Despite multiple follow-ups, we have not received our deposit back. We are being told they are “chasing the landlord” and awaiting a response. However, to my understanding, the property has already been re-let and rent is being collected, which suggests there is active communication with the landlord. It is frustrating that when it comes to returning our deposit, we are being directed elsewhere and advised to contact the deposit scheme ourselves. When the deposit was taken, payment was made directly to the agency, and communication was prompt and efficient. It is disappointing that the same level of support is not being provided now. I sincerely hope the CEO and senior management team review this case and ensure it is resolved promptly and fairly. Kind regards Hirok

GoogleThe process to rent was smooth and efficient. Communication was fast and payments were taken quickly. After becoming a tenant, the experience became unacceptable. Since October there has been no proper hot water and multiple unresolved maintenance problems. Responses are slow, follow up is poor, and repairs remain incomplete. Staff appear unorganised and lack clear knowledge of how to resolve ongoing issues. Months have passed without proper action or timelines. Basic living standards have been affected for a long period. Tenants expect competent management and urgent problems handled without delay.

GoogleI had such a smooth experience with Shahid and Lisa from Chase Evans! Shahid’s communication was clear, prompt, and consistent, from arranging the viewing to giving info on all documents required. Lisa handled the referencing, verification and check-in details with high level of efficiency, also sending reminders when necessary (I have the phd brain, don’t blame me haha). They both patiently answered all my (sometimes silly) questions, and genuinely made the whole process seamless. Excited to move into my new flat in a few days yaaay! Highly recommend, honestly 10/10 for Lisa and Shahid!

This was a difficult sale, due to a difficult solicitor, and delays from the managing agent’s correspondence. Ginny was instrumental in chasing and keeping the process going, and providing reports on current progress (that you do not necessary get from your own solicitor), which helped to keep on top of issues before it become a disaster. I believe, without Ginny, the sale would’ve fallen through. She does more than just read emails, her behind the scene efforts is crucial to the success of this sale. Highly recommended.

That is the most important thing to any landlord.
