Extremely disappointing experience with Chancellors St John’s Wood. It has been almost two months since moving out, and the deposit return process has been nothing short of chaotic. Despite providing all requested details several times, we have received inconsistent, delayed and often non-existent communication. Every step has required repeated follow-ups, yet we still have no clear explanation of what is pending or when the refund will actually be released. This level of disorganisation and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially given the simplicity of the matter. Renting a property should not end with tenants chasing answers for weeks. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this branch.

We rented an apartment they delayed making a recommendation so that we would not be able to move out and pay for the rented apartment from their agency in the future. Later we found another apartment and resolved the issue with the recommendation without their participation. Then there were strange manipulations with deadlines that had to be paid additionally. It turned out that they had 33 days in August.😀 it turned out that instead of 7 days they calculated 9 days. Mold was forming in the apartment due to freezing of the floor. The agency indicated that the mold was dirt; they know better. The deposit refund amount has been agreed upon, but is not being returned. They simply ignore our letters and requests for the return of the deposit. Upd. The deposit was returned almost 3 months later. I demanded a refund of my deposit almost every day.

We are incoming student in UK which currently not live in UK searching for apartments. The agent Ella was really nice and responsive at first place, but once she got the contract signed, she just disappeared and become hard to reach. She was very pushy when signing the contract and promise that she would support us with move in. But during the move in day, she refuse to give us the key because our credit card payment hasn’t arrived in their account yet. But I have made my payment 3days before, which is the suggested day in their previous mails. Then they claimed that 7 days is needed, and refuse to let us move in in the scheduled dates with bad attitude. after we finally moved in, we found that the house is not clean and the promised microwave is not here. She just hand the key to us in the front gate and never come up and do the first check with us. She claimed that she heard from previous tenant that there would be microwave and then she pass the messaged to us, which is really unprofessional and we regard it as a lie to make us sign the deal. In overall, the experience is unpleasant.

For some time I was looking for an apartment with no result through other agents, who often didn't get back to me or update me on offers. Miles Freeman immediately showed me a suitable apartment, meeting all my needs, when I contacted him. My offer was accepted, by the end of the day, due to Miles giving an honest description of my circumstances to the Landlord. Miles updated me every day on the rental process, checking that all of my application information was correctly completed. He immediately answered any queries that I had, with genuine, honest, polite and friendly phone calls. I cannot recommend this rental. They show no respect for tenants. Our confirmed move‑in date was suddenly delayed. While the house appeared clean on the surface, it was very dirty internally, and they refused to fix pre‑move‑in defects. Countless emails and phone calls brought no meaningful resolution. Old and broken appliances, poor hygiene, and highly unprofessional customer service.
