A 5 star review turned into a 1 star. Miles was great in showing us the property & was helpful throughout. Unfortunately he just does the selling though, property management is dealt by others. The head office does the property management, so my review is more towards them than anything. The check-out process was really not smooth and they treat landlords and tenants like idiots to be honest. Classic dodgy agent tactics, took ages to release our deposit, encouraged their landlord to add random charges, excessive charges, poor check-out process, poor communication, no real management of the property, the list goes on. Obviously they lost out on all the proposed deductions when it went the full distance, as TDS saw through the lies almost immediately. They thought they could strong arm the tenants into paying, very naive.

Just about to move out of the flat I rented with Miles (review below) a couple of years ago. Shari, Senior Lettings Executive, has also been super helpful in the transition with the new tenants. The management from both sides (current tenants and prospective) was dealt with very well and Shari was incredibly nice throughout. Just hoping I get a good checkout service in a couple of weeks. Fully recommend renting with Chancellors - just be mindful that the lettings agents are different to the property management agents. ----------------------------xx---------------------------- Miles F (Sr Lettings Manager) was so helpful and made the process of renting a flat very easy. The whole team is very professional and the set-up of having everything in-house really makes the move-in process very smooth. Top staff and service. Can't wait to move into my new flat

We have been most impressed with Bobby Panesar and Miles Freeman at Chancellors , St John’s Wood. Both of them handled our recent rental in the area with superb efficiency and diligence. Nothing was too much trouble for Miles , he has always been polite and yet extremely patient with all the numerous difficult issues which had risen before we finally signed our contract. Extremely frustrating service. I do not usually leave any sort of reviews but this one is worth a read for anyone considering renting with this agent. They have only been helpful during initial sales stage, HOWEVER as soon as we signed the contract, the responsiveness and service is no where to be found. They manage flat directly for tenants, meaning when things need to fixed we have to contact their property management who does an extremely poor job. We had multiple incidents where things need to be fixed in our flat, every time our emails and calls kept getting ignored for days (during opening hours) until we had to send multiple chasers and someone finally picked up with no sense of urgency etc. it generally feel like anything we need help with nobody is there to help, and it takes huge amount of effort from tenent side to even talk to them. I’ve been living in London for 5 years and used few different agent across London this is one of the most unprofessional, and I caution everyone who attempt to rent/buy via this particular agent.

Extremely disappointing experience with Chancellors St John’s Wood. It has been almost two months since moving out, and the deposit return process has been nothing short of chaotic. Despite providing all requested details several times, we have received inconsistent, delayed and often non-existent communication. Every step has required repeated follow-ups, yet we still have no clear explanation of what is pending or when the refund will actually be released. This level of disorganisation and lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially given the simplicity of the matter. Renting a property should not end with tenants chasing answers for weeks. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this branch.

We rented an apartment they delayed making a recommendation so that we would not be able to move out and pay for the rented apartment from their agency in the future. Later we found another apartment and resolved the issue with the recommendation without their participation. Then there were strange manipulations with deadlines that had to be paid additionally. It turned out that they had 33 days in August.😀 it turned out that instead of 7 days they calculated 9 days. Mold was forming in the apartment due to freezing of the floor. The agency indicated that the mold was dirt; they know better. The deposit refund amount has been agreed upon, but is not being returned. They simply ignore our letters and requests for the return of the deposit. Upd. The deposit was returned almost 3 months later. I demanded a refund of my deposit almost every day.
