Would not rent from them again if my life depended on it.

Having rented a property through Carter Jonas and made several complaints regarding the state of the property, there lack of response regarding these complaints was just the push we needed to buy a house. It was only then did I receive an email asking if I would like to meet at the property to discuss repairs. Let’s be perfectly honest this wasn’t for our benefit. Having made arrangements to hand back the keys we took time off work and waited at the property, only to be stood up - yes people they didn’t bother meeting us to do the final inspection or take the keys. This lead to a formal complaint being made and guess what the only call we have received from them was to thank us for the high standard we left the property in and to say we would be receiving our full deposit back - they couldn’t even get that right - wanted bank details even though they’d been taking rent. Anyway a long story short I wouldn’t recommend them, I wouldn’t rent a property through them again. They were happy for us to live with black mouldy bathroom, broken fencing, unusable cooker hob, window seals gone, broken door latches and locks etc etc. oh and this property is owned by HS2 which makes this standard of living even more outrageous. We had a leaking central heating pipe, phoned the emergency number and as water sprayed out through the wall, I was told someone would be out to fix it the following day.

Superb!

Our experience with Carter Jonas was excellent. We had quite a few hurdles to overcome to be able to purchase our new home and Ed was always helpful and persistent in overcoming the difficulties. I feel we had a great relationship with Ed, he is friendly and was very professional throughout the process. All employees that I interacted with at Carter Jonas were polite and responded promptly to all my enquiries.

Fulham flat letting.

The re-letting of our flat in Fulham has just been completed following a schedule of re-fitting and improvements. Carter Jonas has provided excellent support and advice throughout. We found the lettings staff to be friendly, approachable and effective. We were kept fully informed throughout and the level of service and communication was continued by the admin.team once tenants were found. It is what one would expect from a long-established multi-disciplinary national property partnership.

Amazing team.

Naomi at Carter Jonas has been amazing, it was a massive hurdle for me with selling and then renting and extremely stressful on the selling end (with a different agent I must add) but she made it quite easy for me as I haven't rented for about 18 years. Avoid they treated me appalingly

I had a disgusting experience selling my house through Carter Jonas.Despite teliing them I wanted to keep my sale private to my neighbours, one month before my move they went round each house in my close, (apart from mine) with a A4 sheet of paper advertising a photo of my home and letting people know they had sold it, therefore disrespecting my need for privacy.Worst company i have ever had the misfortune to use.

I used a "partner" at Carter Jonas as a valuer for a statutory lease extension for a property that I own. The individual concerned wrote an initial valuation report in which I found (after spending ten minutes reading it) several mistakes. He was rather reticent to correct them, but did so after a bit of argument. I also had to argue with him in order to get him to lower the valuation estimate, which is clearly in the interest of the client in contracts such as this. During these discussions he said at one point "a few hundred pounds here or there doesn't make any difference." Well, maybe it doesn't matter to him because it's not his money, but it clearly matters to the client! I was not very pleased by his attitude overall, and his work (which is routine at best) was expensive, and careless. Would definitely not use Carter Jonas again.

We selected Carter Jonas to act on an executors’ sale of a flat in Bishop Mansions because of their experience of handling transactions in this complex. We were not disappointed and very pleased with the service we received from Wayland Ward-Smith and Mandy Jacobs. They showed the flat to a number of potential buyers in a very short period of time and secured an offer at the asking price. The transaction was then delayed due to challenges in obtaining Probate but we received good advice on how to manage the delay and they also kept the intended purchaser advised so that they acquired the property when formalities had been completed

Professional service second to none

We used Carter Jonas's Fulham branch (Wayland Ward-Smith) to sell a much loved flat in January. We have used the branch on two previous occasions and again could not fault the service. We achieved almost 10% above asking price and were impressed with the professionalism with which the transaction was handled. The communication was clear and advice was offered where needed. Great agency to work for

We provide Carter Jonas Bishops Park (Igor) with photos and plans and they are great to work with. They are always on the ball and communicate really well between us and also the occupants of properties making it really easy for us to get the best out of a property. I think this has to the most judgemental company I have ever dealt with and I'm 54 years old. They wouldn't even accept 6 months rent up front on a property! If you don't fit into their pigeon hole requirements then you aint got no chance of renting a property.
