AVOID BAIRSTOW EVES AT ALL COSTS!!!We have had the most terrible experience with Bairstow Eves, both buying & selling. They have needed chasing for even the most basic of tasks to be done. From the for sale board to the EPC, nothing has been straight forward. We were called weeks after our offer had been accepted,to find out how our property search was going. 🤷♂️ We were just stuck for words at their incompetence. Now, to cap it all the house we had an offer accepted on has been sold without them contacting us to raise our offer or check on our position. Amateurish is an understatement for these clowns. Treat them like the plague & stay away.

We have recently completed on a house through Bairstow Eves, and have found them to be extremely helpful. We listed our property with Purple Bricks, and I must say, in the future we will always be using Bairstow. Claire and the team have been more than helpful, they have consistently helped us, advised us and supported us on our journey, even when we were hearing nothing from our own estate agents. I can not thank the staff at Bairstow Eve's in Biggin Hill, in particular Caroline Price. Very professional and diligent, Caroline went the extra mile occasion after occasion. Always there to explain and keep me informed which was just what I needed when everything got a bit complicated and stressful. I have her to thank as she held my hand throughout the whole process and I would have faired far worse if it wasn't for her knowing her job and simply caring. She was instrumental in keeping the whole chain together as she ended up communicating with everyone throughout the whole chain (from top to bottom) from estate agents, conveyancing solicitors and individuals in the buying/selling chain, due to part of the chain being a private sale. If I ever look to move again, I know exactly who to turn to. Thank you, I can not recommend or sing your praises highly enough for all you have done.

Beware of using this agency. Completely untrustworthy. We had a multi-agency agreement with this agency and had agreed the same commission rate as with the other two agencies. In person, they agreed to the same commission rate and then surreptitiously increased it in the contract. It's only at the end of the entire venture - which is long and dragged out in itself, given I had to coordinate the agent and give daily instructions to follow up with the buyer, you're faced with a surprise sum in the final invoice. Do not recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Bairstoweves is an absolute and utter disappointment to say the very least. We are students, looking for housing and now we do not have a place to live and will likely not find anywhere due to us cancelling many other viewings thinking we had a house. They pressured us for money to secure the property which they are not returning to us immediately despite initially giving the property to us. They then proceeded to tell us an hour after signing an agreement that they had already given it away. Definitely do not recommend for students especially.

As a Landlord I signed up to Bairstoweve's "Full Management Service", their most expensive option. Thinking that it would obviously cover all the costs of managing the property for me. It did not.

I find this company very incompetent, they can’t follow simple instructions, all I asked of them was to close all blinds as the property was empty which they repeatedly failed to do and on one occasion they left the conservatory door wide open and left site, if I didn’t have security cameras fitted around the building that door could have been open for a week!!

The start of the process was excellent as Bella got my property on the market really quickly and I soon had viewings and accepted an offer. Unfortunately, the process then all went a bit wrong once it went to the solicitors. Frustration was mounting rapidly but the advice I was given from Bella and James was, in retrospect, absolutely right and I'm glad I stuck with it. They were instrumental in getting the problems resolved and the sale has now gone through. Later than hoped but I can now see that given the issues this really was as quick as it could have been so I'm very happy.

GoogleI've not always had the best experience with Estate Agents in the past but Bairstow Eves were absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Before choosing them I met with several estate agents and, after doing so, Alan (from Bairstow Eves) was by far and away my first choice. He answered my questions honestly, had years of experience and he never tried to fob me off by over-promising on the valuation or simply telling me what I wanted to hear. Sadly, I had concerns with many of these points when I met the other agents. The photographer they sent around to take the photos did a great job and I had the opportunity to feedback and make alterations to the listing of the property on Rightmove etc. I had lots of viewings from serious buyers very quickly, and soon had a good offer that I was happy to accept. As the sale went through I dealt largely with David. He was excellent. Always being proactive, chasing things up and calling me to provide updates where needed.

We initially contacted this estate agency through Rightmove for a property valuation, and they were quick to respond, which led us to book an appointment. After the call, we received several follow-up messages confirming the scheduled time, including one on the day of the appointment. Unfortunately, no one showed up.I called the Romford branch directly, but only reached an answering machine. I left my details, expecting a call back, but that never happened. I even followed up with an email and checked my junk mail just in case, but received no response.This experience was highly disappointing. The lack of communication and professionalism was frustrating, and I found them to be very unreliable. I would advise others to avoid this agency.

Trying to buy a house. Lied continuously for a week that the seller hadn't got back to them, when I spoke to the seller, he told me they'd arranged new viewings. They never get back to you and seem very disorganised.They also try to sell you their own mortgage advisor and tell you that using them will give you an advantage.There is a reason their nickname is B*****d Thieves.

Professional, efficient and friendly service. All the staff at the Rainham Branch of Bairstow Eves have been outstanding and a pleasure to deal with.I originally used a lesser known estate agents, who did have cheaper fees, but I received a very poor service and consequently with no sale of my property. You really do get what you pay for.Being very apprehensive with estate agents in general, I decided to give Rainham (Essex) Bairstow Eves branch a try.They were absolutely brilliant and I cannot fault any of their staff.Thank you, Chris and your first class team.

GoogleVery unprofessional service I found them argumentative and rude. they put the value of the house almost £100,000 less than market value. The house sold on same street few houses away for £650,000 last year but for some reason they put very low value. When I called them to find out the reason, manager telling his experience thinking client sitting at home doesn't know about the market. I explained him on what price house has been sold on that street but he rudely said if not happy go to other agent. I have lodge complaint to head office as well.NegativeValue
