AVOID BAIRSTOW EVES AT ALL COSTS!!!

AVOID BAIRSTOW EVES AT ALL COSTS!!!We have had the most terrible experience with Bairstow Eves, both buying & selling. They have needed chasing for even the most basic of tasks to be done. From the for sale board to the EPC, nothing has been straight forward. We were called weeks after our offer had been accepted,to find out how our property search was going. 🤷‍♂️ We were just stuck for words at their incompetence. Now, to cap it all the house we had an offer accepted on has been sold without them contacting us to raise our offer or check on our position. Amateurish is an understatement for these clowns. Treat them like the plague & stay away.

We listed our property with Purple Bricks, and I must say, in the future we will always be using Bairstow. I can not thank the staff at Bairstow Eve's in Biggin Hill, in particular Caroline Price. Very professional and diligent, Caroline went the extra mile occasion after occasion. Always there to explain and keep me informed which was just what I needed when everything got a bit complicated and stressful. I have her to thank as she held my hand throughout the whole process and I would have faired far worse if it wasn't for her knowing her job and simply caring. She was instrumental in keeping the whole chain together as she ended up communicating with everyone throughout the whole chain (from top to bottom) from estate agents, conveyancing solicitors and individuals in the buying/selling chain, due to part of the chain being a private sale. If I ever look to move again, I know exactly who to turn to. Thank you, I can not recommend or sing your praises highly enough for all you have done.

Beware of using this agency - they're sneaky and will con you.

Beware of using this agency. Completely untrustworthy. We had a multi-agency agreement with this agency and had agreed the same commission rate as with the other two agencies. In person, they agreed to the same commission rate and then surreptitiously increased it in the contract. It's only at the end of the entire venture - which is long and dragged out in itself, given I had to coordinate the agent and give daily instructions to follow up with the buyer, you're faced with a surprise sum in the final invoice. Do not recommend!

I was very happy with their service particularly with Ellie. She was my main contact at Bairstow Eves and she was very helpful and understanding while I was buying my property. As this was my first Buy to let, I was very inexperienced and anxious about it. However thanks to her and her team the whole process was very quick and smooth. If I could give 0 stars I would. Bairstoweves is an absolute and utter disappointment to say the very least. We are students, looking for housing and now we do not have a place to live and will likely not find anywhere due to us cancelling many other viewings thinking we had a house. They pressured us for money to secure the property which they are not returning to us immediately despite initially giving the property to us. They then proceeded to tell us an hour after signing an agreement that they had already given it away. Definitely do not recommend for students especially.

Out of 6 prospective agents, I solely selected Barstow Eves to represent me in letting my property. There was no doubt in my mind that i had chosen the best agents. From the initial enquiry and subsequent viewing, Karen's friendly and professional approach was second to none. I was informed of how the whole processes would work, and what i could expect to achieve in rental (real terms) and service from Bairstow. Katrina managed the numerous viewings from prospective tenants. i was swiftly given feedback after each viewing. I never had to chase for an update as i was updated continuously throughout (very much appreciated). They successfully LET my property. I'm grateful for service. I would highly recommend them. I just wanted to say a huge thanks to Karen, Katrina and Izabela. As a first time landlord I was unsure of many things. Karen guided me through the whole process and was always available to answer any of my questions. I had a tight timescale and limited time to find tenants for my property. I was extremely pleased and impressed that the whole process, from getting the property on Right Move and then finding tenants all happened in less than a fortnight! Karen also recommended a fantastic mortgage advisor, Callum, who worked tirelessly to ensure the process of buying our property went smoothly. I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I find this company very incompetent

I find this company very incompetent, they can’t follow simple instructions, all I asked of them was to close all blinds as the property was empty which they repeatedly failed to do and on one occasion they left the conservatory door wide open and left site, if I didn’t have security cameras fitted around the building that door could have been open for a week!!

As a first time renter, I was prepared to feel overwhelmed and daunted by the lettings process; particularly with all the horror stories about estate agents and landlords that you hear on the grapevine. In contrast, Bairstow Eves Stratford made the whole situation fairly stress-free and simple. After our initial viewing, both my partner and I were given the space to make our decision, and after confirming our interest, Katrina walked us through the process every step of the way, explaining everything clearly. We were able to move in within 2 weeks of our initial viewing, and the staff at the Stratford branch were very accommodating of us; Izabella even drove us to our property all the way from Stratford after we signed our tenancy agreement. In terms of attention to detail, friendly customer service and approachability, I don't think my partner or I could have asked for any more from Bairstow Eves - would definitely recommend to others looking to rent their first home.

Katrina has been great helping us move to our new apartment. We went through a lot of hassle before we got the keys, but Katrina has stayed utmost professional and kind and worked very hard to make sure we got out keys on time. Utterly disgraceful and unprofessional. Have no concept of GDPR and are Liars. I contacted as my email had been shared on a property notification with many others. I wasn't even registered with this branch. My local agent was informed by the person that had sent the email that they had contacted me to resolve.......a LIE. The individual then attempted to recall the message (probably thinking this would cover her tracks) but in doing so has simply shared my information with the entire group again. Would encourage anyone else that's experienced this to report to ICO.
