GoogleMy property had been on with another Wanstead agent for nearly a year and they were struggling to get anyone through the door to view the property. Then appointed Jake @ Bairstow Eves Wanstead and all that changed. Jake has a very positive attitude and proactive approach and was able to get a constant stream of viewings and ultimately a few offers. Always contactable and approachable (even at weekends) would highly recommend. Thanks Jake

I would give 0 stars if i could. We dealt with Stratford agency. Let me explain the situation. We found a flat to buy and unfortunately, the agency that published it was Bairstow eves.The first bad sign was that we waited for a man who should've shown us a property for 15 minutes (his name is Vasco Correia, just so you know the heroes by names) and after 3 calls to their call centre we were told to try to call the apartment number as he's already there. We've called a few times - failed. We managed to enter the building and get to the flat after a while. When Vasco opened the door we complained about the situation and that we'd been waiting for 20+ minutes to which he replied "so what? are you going to see the flat or not?". We were pissed with the attitude and the situation but had a look on a flat. We liked the flat so much and decided to make an offer (hadn't trusted our guts, unfortunately).The process took 6 months, each time we had to call them ourselves because otherwise, we didn't receive any updates from them and the seller. Our sales progression was Ellie Lynch (well, I would call her sales REgression). Every time she and her colleagues told us that they were doing their best but if it was true we wouldn't ended up being homeless. We've been telling her that our tenancy contract will end at the end of October since August and she didn't tell us that we should prolong it as the seller is looking for a new home herself and won't move out until she buys it. So we trusted them and ended up without a flat with all our stuff.I hate the day we've decided to proceed with this agency and the flat they listed. Hope everyone who's uncertain to work or not to work with Bairstow eves will choose not to work but to save their mental health and their money.

this review is for Wanstead London branch. They are not keen to sell the property they just need the property to be in their portfolio. I do not recommend if you are looking to sell to use this firm. I had my property for well over 4 months, ultimately I decided to take it off, still I had to give 1 month notice, even though I have already informed I have decided to remove, they don't even answer to the calls. so how can a potential buyer contact them. Even after giving them in writing 1 month notice still they didn't remove from advertising on rightmove. She calls and says to put it under Auction method. Seriously?

A few weeks ago I received a telephone call from a young member of staff at Bairstow Eves. He asked me if I was interested in selling my property. I told him no. I had bought it through them funnily enough and had just spent four months renovating it. He suggested I have a valuation despite my saying I didn’t want to sell. Eventually I agreed because I thought it would be good to see what it was worth now it had been renovated. Two text messages and a long and detailed email confirming that the manager was looking forward to meeting me at my property later that week at 12:30. She didn’t turn up and when I telephoned, I was informed that it was a desktop valuation, despite the fact that I had a an email telling me the valuation would be at my property. Having dealt with them when I bought the property and having them not bothering to respond to my email to express my dissatisfaction that they hadn’t bothered to come and do the valuation, I would never ever deal with them again. I think they are a shabby organisation and there are much better estate agents to deal with.

My past experiences of using estate agents for house purchases or sales have never been positive. That is until now. Our transaction was fairly simple as we had a first time buyer buying our house and that was the end of the chain. I found communications excellent. Never any delays. Always helpful. Always on time. Conducted viewings for us. Price was very reasonable and there were no hidden costs. Katie and Chloe at the Carlton office handled the whole transaction very professionally. Thank you

GoogleWe auditioned three estate agents from Wanstead High Street. Stephen Agathangelou from Bairstows was head and shoulders above the competition. His manner was straightforward and his insight into the local market was well-informed and intelligent. His analysis of what the property could sell for was on the money. In this regard in particular, his competitors were hopeless. A buyer was soon found and a price agreed. Stephen was the consummate professional in all matters concerning negotiation. Following the agreement of the price, Stephen strove and succeeded in bringing the transaction to completion in an orderly, open and efficient manner. He was proactive and approachable. My advice to any seller: instruct Stephen.

GoogleThere is a lot to be said about first impressions and my first impression was how welcoming they were. Elaine particularly, made you feel at ease and you felt comfortable. Some estate agents, you feel as though they are profiling you and you dont get a good vibe from them. But Bairstow Eves Wantead were/are fantastic, the whole team. I would recommend them 100%. Cant beat the classics.

DO NOT BUY OR SELL WITH BAIRSTOW EVES SOUTHEND ON SEA. Absolute Mickey Mouse setup where the agents dont even know who to contact to confirm a viewing! And so rude and unprofessional!Happy to explain more but not enough space!! Plenty of good Estate Agents around, I implore you not to use them!!!

GoogleI cannot recommend Elaine and the team at Bairstow Eves enough. They were very tolerant and patient when there was a hold up with my paperwork and application and were willing to answer any questions I had. Elaine is very professional, as is the rest of the staff at the office, and they know what they’re doing. I will definitely let through them again. It takes a great deal for me to recommend someone or something, but I recommend Elaine and the team highly.

GoogleA really good local estate agent. Easily the best. Having used a number of the local Estate Agents in Wanstead I feel that Bairstow's is the best by a long shot. I wouldn't touch the other agents with a barge pole. Stephen is a great manager; Friendly and professional. There is no typical estate agent nonsense with him and his team.
