i would not use this estate agent, if you do then please ensure all information is documeneted via an email as if it is given verbally there is a strong chnace they will not standby what they have promised!!they are dishonest and i will certainly never use them again

My fiancé and I recently moved to London from Australia and were having a lot of trouble finding an apartment. We were thankful to find Zoe Sophocles from Anscombes who was patient, persistent, and was not overly "salesy" (this is something that irks me about other estate agents). Zoe ended us showing us three great apartments that fit our requirements and were within our budget, something that other agents struggled to do. We made an offer on one of the apartments and moved in a week later. If we end up moving apartments we will definitely get in touch with Zoe and Anscombes.

We bought our first London flat working with Roy (RJ) Peach. RJ has been extremely professional, responsive, efficient (and a pleasure to deal with!) from the start. As deals are always more complicated than they initially appear, RJ’s help was instrumental in helping us navigate through the process and ultimately close the deal with a good result achieved for both the vendor and us. I had been looking for a flat for almost a month and had viewed more than 30 places none of which I liked. I was told I was very picky! I finally went to Anscombe and Ringlad and Jerome Colmans showed me the flat that I'm in at the moment. I have to say unlike many other agencies, after asking some questions, without wasting even a minute of my time, he showed me the exact place that was most suitable for me. More importantly, he helped me a lot through the contract and the whole process. He made everything simple although my case was in a crucial time and situation.

We met Gideon Heilpern when we expressed interest in buying a property in SJW. I was immediately impressed with how professional and personable he was. My husband and I are very different people and he seemed able to connect with us each equally and mediate our views on the property (an invaluable skill for an agent to have). He was patient and accommodating - meeting us on 3 separate occasions to view the property. He was always punctual and never made us feel rushed. He had a good sense of space and architecture which helped during the "brainstorming" process of how the property could be renovated and space best utilized. Ultimately, we decided we were not in a position to buy the property. However, Gideon left such a positive impression that when, several months later, we decided to move to St Johns Wood and rent I immediately contacted him. Unfortunately, he works exclusively on sales and so was unable to accompany us on our rental search. However, he was gracious in referring us to his colleague who proved equally energetic and committed to outstanding customer service. Gideon has proved himself a great team player in providing such a wonderful referral but also an invaluable asset to Anscombe and Ringland. I would not hesitate in working with the agency and Gideon in the future (or refering a friend) on the strength of our positive experience with Gideon.

Moreover, Gideon has an excellent ability to follow-up on deals and is able to - carefully - manage the process between a buyer and a seller contrary to some other agents sitting and waiting.This deal making/deal closing ability is crucial when you are looking for a flat and Gideon provided 5-star Service. My wife and I recently moved to London and was pretty amazed at how different the London housing market was. I got in touch with a lot of agents and saw places which were either way out of my budget and were liveable or complete crap. Checked out online listings and got in touch with Anscombe & Ringland -- they immediately set up viewing appointments and showed me a few places (all of which we liked). Then it came to placing the bid on the places which were in our budget -- Danielle really helped us through this process and constantly kept us updated. We did not get the first place we bid for but she suggested we place a bid for the other house we liked and worked with us on it. We got the place! In fact we were very glad that we did not get the first one. I strongly recommend Anscombe & Ringland, St.Johns Wood and Danielle.

I have been working with Anscombe & Ringland in St. John's Wood for a couple of years now and I cannot rate them highly enough. As an agency they are extremely professional, offer sound advice and most of all are an agency you can actually trust - not something that can be said for most estate agents out there. Specifically speaking Roy Peach in sales has been absolutely phenomenal in helping me buy my properties. If it weren't for him I honestly don't think I would have been able to get the property I wanted. He is fantastic at negotiating, knows exactly when to step in and will give a deal the right push at the right time to get it through. And best of all he'll always do it with a smile. I cannot rate him highly enough! Similarly Jerome Walker in lettings is superb as well. He has been great in helping me let my flat and has patiently guided me throughout the process. It has been quite obvious in my interaction with Anscombe that as an agency they place great emphasis on client satisfaction and relationship building. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them and safe to say they've made a client for life! Thank you RJ and Jerome!!

As it was my first property I wasn't clear about a few things and RJ was immensely helpful. Selling and buying is a big risk and plunge especially in these times of rapidly increasing prices and low availability but, I have done them both successfully with the help of Nicholas Madden-Kenny at A & R St John's Wood. The thing is that both these processes don't just require an offer or finding a suitable place but need perseverance to get the conveyancing done and this is what I acquired from the services of this very competent agency. Incredibly better than all the estate agents I contacted and absolutely concerned to see that I was happy with the offer and with the purchase. Its not the first time I have used them and I credit their manager Dean who runs the show like a family and is very dependable. Nicholas really went way beyond what is expected from anyone and they are really not just concerned with commissions but more with having happy feedback and returning clients.

I've been looking around london to get an apartment when i first moved in into the city, while other places rushed me to flats that are not of the security level and interior qualities I desired, A&R ,my agent, Vera, led me to flats with locations that are close by the area i was interested in and have many refurbished apartments, with easy access to public transportation. I was explained very clearly all the features of the apartment and the payment policy as well, in addition she helped me compare the values with the advantages of each feature, as i was new to London. I was also taken by a car comfortably and was driven back as well. I was pleased, and I recommended A&R.
