GoogleDishonest and very shady... the agency told me I had my offer accepted by a landlord last week, and after a week of silence on their end (during which they ignored calls/emails) I finally got through to be told that the landlord had gone with someone else. It's hard enough flat hunting during a pandemic without this weird move from the agency - you'd have thought they'd be more human. I'm now searching for another flat with only a couple of weeks left on my current lease, and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Notice how 90% of the 5* reviews on here are written by people who have only ever written one review........ avoid like the plague!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

As an agency and Landlord providing reasonable desirable properties for the majority (not just the privileged few), we do have 100s of enquires and offers every day. Unfortunately we do turn down a lot of unsuitable applications. If you can provide your real name, we will look into this and can offer you advice. As noted. most 1 star reviews are not from our Tenants/Landlords or clients, but mainly from Applicants who's references/application failed. Again we do apologise for any inconvenience.

Besides the age 3 reading and numeracy levels, and the age 14 insolence levels of your employees prior to check in, the property a family member was excited to move into has been left filthy and stinking, a reflection of Aquire Employees' poor moral hygiene. Aaron has been exceptional to work with responding to phone calls and emails. Dealing with any maintenace issues accordingly at a franction of the cost of most other letting agents. GoogleTo save some time on your hunt for a property management company, I would advise looking elsewhere.
Tardy replies to emails are the norm with Acquire (2-3 follow-ups per response), “Do you really need that fixed” as a response when they finally do come to check out the issue (inoperative door handle), attempt to pass on every unreasonable costs to the tenant (yes, even a faulty door handle). And finally enforcement of maximum legally allowed admin fees and charges. Even in a market as hot as this, they somehow manage to be more unhelpful and cut throat than other agencies!

GoogleIf you have the choice avoid renting with this company. Two years ago my partner and I were presented a “professionally cleaned” flat that in reality had not been cleaned or inspected with any due care at all. Filthy mattresses, a broken oven and doorbell, a cupboard that fell apart many times, belongings left by previous tenants. Each time we reported issues they were brushed off until the subject of money came into question… minus the doorbell which Acquire failed to address at all and remained broken throughout our tenancy.
After we had moved out, Acquire broke the terms of our contract and illegally held four figures worth of our money. After several conversations with untrained, unprofessional staff, who would tell us that our issues were an “opinion” and the incredible suggestion that the terms in the legally binding contract we signed with them were a “guideline”, the only way the manner was resolved was to inform them that we had been in touch with our lawyers.
A former employee, Kat, was the only person who seemed to care and had good enough grace to apologise to us for the issues we faced.
Clearly there is a fundamental issue here. Each time we chased on an issue we were told it was a “busy period”. It is astonishing to think a busy period can last two years. Something needs to change in the way this company is run.

GoogleThe worst real estate agency. Impossible to contact them, and they do not take charge of technical problems in the house but you have to manage and solve them yourself. They do not want to return the house deposit to us because one of the rooms was not rented due to covid-19 and they make us pay it through our deposit. I do not recommend it to absolutely anyone.

Unfortunately, you (and the others) didn't pay the rent and caused a bit of damage before you left. We did what we could to help you but if you didn't pay the rent and damaged the property, does that make us the worse real estate agency, or does it make you the worst Tenant?
