I asked why we were told on an earlier date that we couldn't have an application form as somebody had taken one before a viewing that was booked a further 5 days on,then called back only to be called a liar, and spoken to in the most disrespectful manor. GoogleWe have just been evicted from our home, we were issued with a no fault section 21, Reeds Rains were the management company brought in to evict us, as we had a coward of a landlady who couldn’t do this herself. We set up a standing order mandate to pay our rent, I don’t like direct debits, you have no control over them, a few months into them taking over, I had my bank account hacked, the rent was due, I phoned them right away that morning to explain the situation, and said I would pay the rent ASAP, you can imagine my surprise and anger when my bank phoned me at 5pm to say Reeds Rains had tried to take the rent out by setting up a direct debit, like I said I never set a direct debit up, and even though I phoned to say my bank account had no money in, they still went ahead and did this, and of course it wasn’t paid as I had no monies in. This was totally out of order, and we are now going to write to Ombudsman, we didn’t do it right away as had enough going on trying to find somewhere to live. I will be guided by the ombudsman’s as where we go from here, they can’t do this to people, especially when I have the form here saying Standing order Mandate.
Reeds Rains were paid the rent within 3 days, of bank account been emptied, it was if they didn’t believe my money had been taken for them to do this.
