The communication from this agency is absolutely shocking. Expect to wait at least 24, 48 hours for a reply to even the simplest of queries, which makes the whole process unnecessarily stressful.
On top of this, I was told I would have to keep broken furniture in the property, which says a lot about how little care they put into the homes they manage.
Overall, very poor experience, slow communication, rude service, no empathy, and no willingness to support applicants. I would strongly recommend avoiding them

TrustpilotABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF AN ESTATE AGENT
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF AN ESTATE AGENT! DO NOT EVER USE ANY BRANCHES OF THIS AWLFUL BUNCH - EVER! - LINCOLN AND THEIR HEAD OFFICE IN SLEAFORD ARE PARTICULARY BAD!!!! Rude, Extremely Unprofessional, Totally Discourteous, Patronising, Youngsters with Zero Experience in Life, let alone in Selling Property! Don't even get me started on the so-called 'Directors and de Management'! They do NOTHING to SELL your property - FACT! Promise the earth, deliver zero! Do not fall for their deceit, devil smiles and untruths! They put the smarmy distrust back into all Estate Agents! ALWAYS READ their Contract Terms and Conditions! Otherwise they will try to tie you in to a 28 day notice period, even though they themselves have broken all of their own Contractual Legal Agreements, Obligations and Terms and if you withdraw your property from them, they even try to send you a £300 bill exit fee!!! DO NOT PAY THIS!!! - EVER!!! Let them chase you for it, if they can be even bothered. Do not let this Company 'Piggies and Cronies' bully you and take you for a fool, they will do NOTHING to help or assist you! Complete waste of your valuable time, who just add unnecessary stress to complicate matters and seem to relish in it! You should be Billing them for all your time wasted and for the aggravations! DO NOT USE!!! Warning Update The Branch Manager of Lincoln is also an out & out Pathological Liar! - FACT - & the Sleaford H/Q are the very same! DO NOT EVER TRUST THEM!

GoogleThis is my first experience with Pygott & Crone. I am in the process of purchasing a property with them. My first point of contact has been with Millie Todd, one of their Client Relations Officers.
This is a stressful process, but I have to say she has always kept me well informed, been very patient, and overall, I cannot fault the way the process has been handled so far. Thank you, Millie.

GoogleP&C have been fantastic from day 1 until completion. A special mention to Sian Bedford and Alisha Hate who have been instrumental in ensuring our sale and onward purchase have happened. They’ve made an extremely stressful process less stressful and have done everything they can to help along the way. Couldn’t recommend them and the whole team who have helped enough. Thanks all!!

GoogleHad to move out of the bailgate as the landlord wanted to sell quickly and in turn, was kicking us out quickly, "Lucy R" sorted us out ASAP, was freindly, understandable and helped us achive our goals as quickly as possible. Flipping fantastic! We were in the new rented property in under a week, so easy to do and any questions she answered were compressively and coherently responded too.
Many thanks

GoogleWe used P&C to sell our house in spring 2024. Although our initial experience was ok (we got an offer relatively quickly), it was downhill from there. Once we were passed over to the selling negotiation team, it was clear they weren't working for us - they only wanted to complete the sale asap. From start to finish, it felt like they were working for the buyer.
Would not recommend using P&C.

We've not been able to locate your transaction as we do not have your name but based on your feedback, it seems that we were able to find you a buyer quickly. Regarding the sales progression team (who handle the period of time between our seller accepting an offer and exchange of contracts) we feel they work hard during this process. They make sure that things keep moving forward, chasing conveyancers for updates, and resolving issues where possible. Quite often there is a chain of related properties with different conveyancers, involving buyers and sellers with different expectations. The process has been known to be stressful at times. To see a property transaction through to exchange and completion requires communicating with sellers, buyers, and their conveyancers - but as an estate agent we act for the seller who instructed us. Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback.

GooglePaul Wood and the team at P&C are dedicated professionals and helped manage and smooth the communications and processes all the way through to completion. Highly recommended!

TrustpilotVery happy customer
Cannot recommend this company enough. They sold our property within 10 days of it being on the market, fantastic promotions and incredible photographs.
From the start of the journey meeting Aiden who took a real interest in our journey and respected the fact that we were selling our long time home, through to liaising with Fiona and Lauren who are full of information and most of all support. Jonathan guided us through some stressful moments But he was always very reassuring and very supportive.
The thought of selling our home was a nervous one, but if we had to do it again in the future, I would not hesitate to use this company again. Thank you so much to all of those involved.

TrustpilotThe worst experience ever
The worst experience ever. Went for viewing, after viewing went home to apply for property and its shows let agreed, literally 2hours after viewing.
Applied for other property no answers on emails, when call agent who dealing with applications was on holiday. At the end calling them someone else got property without letting me know that property is gone.
Applied for 1 more property, had to wait for some time. Call them , again agent on holiday, wait some more, no calls, no email , managed to reach them to find out property is gone again. Wasted almost a month waiting.

TrustpilotTenant - Horrible Experience
As a tenant, I would not recommend Pygott & Crone to ANYONE that is looking to rent a property.
Pygott & Crone, specifically Gabrielle who works for their rental team, represent atrocious landlords that treat their tenants as if they are a cash cow. I am a single occupant, under 30 years old, and I have lived in 5 different rental properties, this is the first one in my life that has claimed my security deposit; for something as silly as a missing light bulb.
I have stayed at the property for over 4 years, which when I moved in, still required work. The carpets were not cleaned, parts of the stairwell needed repainting after damage was caused by the previous tenant, there were no curtains on the windows (which I left behind after my tenancy) and the boiler was already on it's way out, but never replaced in the 4 years I stayed there, despite the fact I needed to let pressure into it practically every other day to maintain working order.
Pygott & Crone's post-tenancy report stated, and I quote, "Based on the duration of the tenancy, it would be unreasonable to make deductions to the tenant's deposit." and yet they allowed the landlord to do so for 3 light bulbs, an oven tray (which was cleaned before I left by a professional cleaner), gardening fees (despite having been moved out for 4 weeks in the height of summer), and costs for removal of an LED light strip that I left behind in the office simply because I thought the new tenant might appreciate them.
I was charged a total of £240 from my security deposit for cutting back a hedge, taking down an LED strip and repainting a single wall; despite the tenancy being over 4 years long. Pygott & Crone emphasizes an already terrible power imbalance between landlord and tenants, then claims they are impartial when they have the potential to protect young tenants that are already struggling in the current housing market; and as such I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. As guilty as the landlords they support.
Stay clear and do not use them.

GoogleWe've been in contact with Ed Nearn over recent days with our applying to purchase a property in Welton. From the get go, the contacts from/with Ed (and the other members of the Lincoln office) have been friendly and engaging. Ed has been brilliant in response times to emails/calls and explaining "the intricacies' of closed bids (something I'd not had much awareness of). I used to work in customer services and his comment on his emails of
"If you have any other questions feel free to ask! 😁" hits exactly the right note with anyone reading it! Well done Ed!!!

TrustpilotPhoto shopped
I viewed a house via Pygott and Crone that looked good on the brochure, but looked terrible in reality.
I know estate agents enhance photos but to photo shop them is not right.
The front bedroom window looked good on the photo, just a little too white on the left hand side. It was actually rotten.
The shower cubicle also looked good, but that too was full of mold.

TrustpilotPoor Service
Contacted Pygot Crone Holbeach to arrange a viewing of a property we were interested in. Told someone would call back. No call back. Called again and again told someone needs to call back. Again no call back. Called again and was told the property was not on the market the owners were ill and taken off the market. Checked a week later and still on their website and on Rightmove. Called and was told the property was sold. A few days later when my partner called was told the owners were poorly and had been taken off the market for a few months. Also sent 2 emails enquiring about this and another property no response.
Terrible service and appear to tell lies or make things up.
Shame as we are cash buyers
I wonder if the vendors of properties with them realise why they aren't selling

TrustpilotThank you for the excellent service pre and post sale
Purchase needed a swift turn around- viewed property and had an offer negotiated with vendor to include a chain break within 4-6 weeks. Progress kept on track and were ready to exchange in week 4. Agreed to buy on 29th April and moving 13th June. Thank you for the excellent service pre and post sale.

GoogleAwful experience when attempting to by my first home. Had offer accepting, signed papers and was sourcing my own mortgage broker by day 2 had a phone call to say that my offer has been cancelled as someone has put a higher offer in even though all docs are signed! Agent was rude and put a lot of pressure on me to use all of there own suppliers which was intimidating as a first time woman buyer.

It was an absolute joy working with the Pygott & Crone Estate Agents.
The staff I worked with are extremely polite , everybody was really professional & they were always happy to help me with any questions I had when it came to getting my 1st property.
I recommend anybody who is buying a home etc to work with this firm because they are really good.
This isn't my last time working with them here , I will be back for more in the future.
Thank you for everything much appreciated

TrustpilotAVOID !!IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOME !
If you want your house sold, receive regular updates, receive key facts from the outset, have an agent that promotes your home by attending views, then DO NOT USE THESE ESTSTE AGENTS.
1. Promised regular updates however, we only received updates when we chased them.
2. Key facts not given at outset i,e you pay for photos but only in the small print do you find out you cannot use the photos if you change agents.
3. apparently we have nearly 60 potential buyers matched We had 3 views, so what happened to the rest? ratio shows lack of promotion or is this figure pure speculation?
4. On the market since November 24 not guidance on how to improve chances of sale etc .
5 total lack of confidence in them
I will be taking this matter further but AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE !

Thank you for your lovely review, it's brilliant to hear you had a positive experience and that we found you a buyer so quickly (perhaps due to our FirstLook feature which we make available to all our registered potential buyers!). Issues in a chain as you describe can happen and Alisha, our dedicated sales progressor, would have been instrumental in keeping the chain together. We wish you many happy years in your new home.

Google3.8!! Not surprised, they deserve 1 star rating or less.
Unfortunately I happen to hand over sale of my home to them, still with them. Now I am not surprised y they have got 3.8 review compared to all other high street agents who have an average review of 4.8.
They have just advertised 12 photos of my home, which doesn’t showcase my home at all properly , and I repeatedly requested them to have new EPC not the one when I bought the home 8 years ago, but even after speaking to them since the advertisement went online many times, they haven’t changed the EPC or updated photos as I requested, just show my home as it supposed to be.
I am not getting any call back as I requested and supposed, and after 2 days of requesting to upload more photos, detailed descriptions and ECP, nothing has been done and no one has contacted me yet!!!!!!
Do they even care anything about customer care and courtesy?
Do they really want to make any selling happen?
I am really surprised and shocked?
I am going to contact my solicitor about taking some actions against them.!!
