I imagine every house sale has its moments, but I felt confident at every point that we were in the safest of hands, that we could trust the whole team, and that they were also looking after our buyers with the same degree of care. The setting up of the photos and the brochure, the viewings, the liaising with solicitors, the ins and outs of clearance and cleaning and keys and everything else that goes along with a house sale, all of it was fully supported by this tirelessly caring family firm. We were kept informed at every stage with updates, and they still didn't mind me ringing to ask questions or query where we'd got to with something! I am so very glad we went with you: thank you for making what could have been a difficult, sad, challenging, stressful process about as calm as I can possibly imagine it could ever be.

We instructed them because of the reviews we had read, personal recommendation and because the quality of their photos and marketing stand out a mile on Rightmove. We were not disappointed and in fact they exceeded our expectations and actually made our move a great experience despite the most challenging of times. They are professional, efficient and organised and they know their market and their business inside out. Their communication and drive is outstanding. Buying and selling houses is stressful but we felt at ease from day one right through to completion. GoogleExtremely pleased with the service and friendliness of all the staff at Downes and Daughters. I was always kept informed and updated regularly on potential and actual viewings, and feedback was always exact and speedy allowing me to ensure the house showed at its best. The shop was always busy, and my property was well presented with fantastic pictures and description text. I believe having a smaller family owned agency helped sell the property, it wasn't lost as one of many in a larger agency the human touch really counted. Would happily use Dan and Verity Downes agency again.

GoogleDownes and Daughters are a family firm and it shows. We have recently sold our house with Downes and Daughters and would highly recommend them if you are intending to move. As soon as we met Dan we knew we would be appointing Downes and Daughters as our agent. The valuation was well considered and various options provided. Dan takes great care with photography, presenting your home in the best possible way. From there on Verity and Kim handle matters. Communication is excellent as they arrange viewings, provide feedback and any offers coming your way. With great patience and humour they assisted us with seeing the sale through to conclusion. I am sure that the issues that crop up with house sales are taken in their stride on a daily basis but Verity and Kim clearly understand how stressful the process is for us mere mortals and manage the inevitable anxieties skillfully. A few issues cropped up during the sale process and we found that this is where your choice of Agent makes a big difference. Verity's liaison with all parties in the chain ensured that our sale was completed successfully with our great appreciation.

GoogleI cannot recommend Downes and Daughter enough! They were acting for the seller of the property we were buying and they were so friendly, informing and helpful throughout the whole process. They were very quick with communication and always kept us in the loop. When we come to move again, we will without a doubt use Downes and Daughter.
