NO ELECTRICITY FOR 3 DAYS

I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting through Winkworth. When I moved into my new flat, the agent failed to provide me with the gas card/key. I moved here from the US so I did not know that was something that I needed. As a result, my electricity was cut off for almost three days during my very first weekend in the property. I had no light, no heating, and no hot water for close to 72 hours.

These estate agents are fantastic!! I'm actually so glad that the seller chose winkworth, because they actually were the glue during the entire process. First, I worked with Joanna who showed me the property and really interacted with a lot of generosity and kindness. She brought the human element to a process that can often be strange and alienating. She even arranged a second viewing with my child and played hide and seek in the house, which was so endearing. I really started to imagine myself in the space before I even put my offer in! After the offer, Carolina García stepped in and wow - is she great at her job! She kept in contact with me through the months-long process, explained things even when the solicitors went quiet, and always assured me of the progress. She tempered my expectations when I (and the seller) got frustrated with delays that were beyond us. Lastly, the office reception was nice when it was time to pick up keys. They warmly congratulated me on my first home purchase and gave a bottle of bubbly 🥺 I don't think I would have purchased this property without Winkworth, so the seller really owes them one! I had interactions with impersonal and cold agents immediately before this and it put me off the properties they were representing. I couldn't be more celebratory of this agency and will gladly recommend them to buyers and sellers alike. ✨

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by this agency. It has now been over a month since I moved out of the property, and I have still received no clear response regarding the return of my deposit. Despite repeated attempts to obtain an update, communication has been poor and unhelpful. The most concerning aspect is that the agency’s advice has simply been to hire a solicitor in the hope that this might put pressure on the landlord. Rather than actively assisting in resolving the issue, they appear to have shifted the responsibility and cost onto the tenant. A letting agency should act professionally, communicate effectively, and help facilitate a fair and timely resolution of deposit matters. Unfortunately, this has not been my experience. I would advise prospective tenants to think carefully before using this agency.

Aaron was an amazing help

Aaron was an amazing help. As soon as I spoke with him regarding re renting my flat he put me on the right 'track' in regards to everything I needed to do or not to do. The previous tenants left the flat in a real mess and Aaron recommended certain businesses that dealt with many of my concerns ie getting rid of rubbish, where to get an EPC from etc. As soon as the flat was ready to go on the market Aaron was able to muster up fifteen applicants whilst weedling out a few that weren't quite right for my flat. He got me an immediate offer which was a little more than expected which was great. Overall I had a great experience with Winkworth, would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone that would like to rent out their property.

Poor. Data protection ignored, no-show for viewing appointment.

Very friendly contact via email with Abbie Greisman. My explicit request not to use my data for any marketing purposes was simply ignored though. We send agreed on a date for a viewing, for which I received an appointment reminder on 13/07. But nobody showed up at the property, and the error wasn't even acknowledged; Abbie referred to a much earlier email exchange from 09/07 though, suggesting that it was all our fault. Poor.
