I recommend Cubitt & West Lewes 100%. I first dealt with them in 2019 when Sue showed us around a number of houses and we ended up buying one via them. Based on that experience C&W Lewes were the only Estate Agents I contacted when I was thinking of selling in 2020. As soon as I decided to put my house on the market Sue was on it. Lining up quality viewings straight away and making the process as stress-free as possible for me. Sue is personable, really knowledge, so hard-working and always there to listen and offer her views and advice in a professional and helpful manner.I have dealt with a lot of Estate Agents over the years and C&W and Sue in particular, are top of my list. Things got a little sticky when we got close to exchanging contracts and Chris from the branch was absolutely brilliant. Sue was on holiday and Chris stepped and spent hours speaking to ALL parties get the issues resolved and contracts exchanged in-line with my desired timing.Brilliant team and lovely people too.

Fantastic Service

Claire has been amazing with helping us purchase our first home in Southsea. Buying your first home is a daunting process, but Claire has made everything seem so simple. Her professional friendly manner is so reassuring and is by far one of the most helpful estate agents we have came across over the past few months. Any questions we have had she has responded to so quickly which really helps make the process less stressful. Cubitt and West also introduced us to Wayne who has been so great with helping us arrange our mortgage. No question was a silly question with him and he explained everything so thoroughly that we felt very confident in understanding the mortgage process. Honestly cannot fault both Claire and Wayne and would recommend them to any first time buyer.

We put our house on sale

We put our house - Mennileaves just before 1st Lockdown. All was at stand still during lockdown and once relaxed, the virtual video was done and had viewing. The staff from Cubitt and West , Kerry Anne Ross and others showed the house around which was done professionally with social distancing and managed to keep our place safe.With all hard work and professionalism we had an offer which led to sale and completion. On completion we also had good wishes from Cubitt and West.I have no hesitation to recommend Cubitt & West.

I needed to sell my parents' house in Redhill to meet care home fees. Michelle visited the property and gave us what we felt was a realistic valuation.We were very impressed with Michelle and the overall service promised by Cubitt and West.Although it was not the cheapest quote we received we felt that it offered the best value for money and this was borne out in practice.Michelle and her team in Redhill were always available to deal with queries and I can't recommend them highly enough, particularly as there were a couple of last minute issues to deal with!!

Amazing Service!

I called the Southsea office for the first time on a rainy miserable Monday feeling stressed that I couldn't find my ideal house, and spoke to Claire. Wow, I can honestly say not only was she a ray of sunshine, she was so efficient and helpful, taking the time to make my feel a truly valued customer. Claire provided the balance of professionalism versus friendliness perfectly, exactly what we all need, even more so in these extremely difficult times. She also put me in touch with a mortgage advisor that was equally efficient and helpful. Due to Claire's first class service, really understanding what I was looking to buy, recommending a house to me, quickly arranging a viewing, answering all my questions, two days later I had an offer accepted on my new house, that ticks all the boxes! Alice is an amazing agent

Alice is an amazing agent - she was so knowledgeable about the property she showed us. She knew the house's history, where everything was(which I'm surprised that many agents don't ie. washing machine) and when areas of the house were renovated. Although the home was in great condition and very modern, she also gave a lot of suggestions of how we could improve things further from the garden to the garage. I would 100% recommend Alice as an agent and her expertise.

Claire and Wayne have been brilliant!!!

Claire was an enormous help with our first time buy. From our very first phone call, Claire was enthusiastic, professional and friendly. Out of all the properties we had viewed with various other estate agents, she was by far the most helpful and eager. She introduced us to Wayne who has been brilliant while arranging our mortgage. The meetings we had with him felt very thorough and we left with an in depth understanding. My husband and I are very happy with Cubitt and West, especially Richard Clarke, Senior Branch Manager, and Claire Schindelka,Senior Sales Executive. Richard made us feel comfortable and gave his honest opinion when asked about our chances in selling our flat. He made sure we were kept in the loop and he sent us the summary of the marketing activity. Claire came on board in January; she was very professional and knows her job. She went above and beyond. She came to our flat to see our property because she said she wanted to know what she was selling. It definitely helped her look for potential buyers and she sold our flat in less than a month. On top of that she also gave us advice about our decision to buy the house that we wanted. Buying and selling houses is not like selling other commodities; it can be emotionally stressful and some may have emotional attachments to their property or could be anxious to move out. In our case our flat is too small for us and we really need to move to a bigger place now that we have a baby.We were with another estate agents at first but we did not receive the same kind of service that we got from Cubitt and West. I am a fan of reviews I rely heavily on it when I purchase anything especially for large purchases like homes. I would definitely recommend Cubitt and West if you are looking for an estate or letting agency.

The Best Estate Agent I have ever used, (6 moves!)

Julian was brilliant and a true gent. His knowledge and expertise went above and beyond the call of duty. He and Katerina held our hand from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Their smiles and positivity saw us through the stressful bits. Within hours of giving our instruction Julian had appointments booked for the following day. Within 10 days we had several offers of the full asking price on the table. Julian offered advice and gave us feed back the whole way through. When the solicitors and buyers in the chain were struggling to communicate, Julian rolled up his sleeves and sorted it out. We complete tomorrow and I hope that Julian and his team get a well earned rest over Christmas. Thank you Julian for all your help and support. Let’s do it all again in say 5 years?! 🤗

The Best of the Bunch

I’ve dealt with three different estate agents over the past 18 months whilst selling during a turbulent year and Cubitt and West have been outstanding. They’re professional, great communicators and successfully manage expectations of all parties. After securing a sale, C&W give you a direct point of contact to deal with post sale. Shaun was great, communicated regularly with both conveyancers, the buyer and myself. I never had to chase as he was always one step ahead. He ensured the process proceeded smoothly and swiftly. Fantastic band of super heroes.I believe it has already been written and stated "not your typical salesman, not pushy at all".These guys took over the challenge of selling our property after Purple bricks had it for 3 months (price dropped 3 times in this time to which angered us and they still couldn't sell).Cubitt & West were mentioned to me and it was the best feeling when Mo phoned back, he had people interested in the area.... 5 days later we had a buyer?So what do they do different? they didn't hound, they didn't beat our prices down (we sold for what we wanted) they simply "sold the product" as advertised.At first we were a little concerned from our purplebricks adventure that we would get a fee for doing nothing as Mo was going on holiday, he left us with David but assured us it will be fine and we would be looking at 2-3 weeks for some movement??? Mo was true to his words, David came round... with a professional photographer, we had 2 bookings the first day and a further 2 the day after?Things were already better than purplebricks (3 in 3 - yes 3 people in 3 months).Then we had our buyers, I consider myself lucky in this account of being with c & w, but the person who advised me of them, said just this " they will make it easy for you". And they did. A massive thankyou to Mo, David, elliot, Julie bramble and the girls in the office at waterloovile site... I kept calling her Sarah but she never told me I was wrong... so polite.Use these guys if you want to be treated as a human and not a cash machine.

Our experience selling our property…

Our experience selling our property with Cubitt & West was very positive, despite the change of points of contact at the start of the transaction, due to COVID-19. However, part from this initial teething problem, we were very satisfied with the way in which our property was marketed, the quality of the visits received, the guidance provided was outstanding. We also found that Cubitt & West were very helpful once we had found the property we wanted to purchase as they gave us advice on the initial steps to take in order to start this process. Cubitt & West Lewes were fantastic from the start. David Knox gave great advice about valuation and preparing the house for sale. A sale was achieved very quickly and on price, with great communication around viewings. Chris Bignell, Garry Wheeler and Gareth Doolan were all friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. While the sale of property which C&W managed went super-smoothly the purchase of our new house was much more challenging and this is where the vast experience, excellent communication and creative thinking of Chris Bignell and Garry Wheeler came in. Garry kept the communication going up and down the chain which kept everything on track despite multiple set backs and challenges which went on for months and months. I really appreciated regular check-ins with Chris Bignall whose informed positivity helped me to keep the faith! His years of experience and contacts helped to smooth the feathers of slightly tricky solicitor, and when our vendors made a last minute demand which threatened to derail the sale after 6 months waiting, Chris and Garry came up with a creative solution nothing short of genius. Thank you all for your support through a very stressful set of circumstances, you're a fantastic team, 5 stars aren't enough to describe the excellent expert advice and friendly effective service we received.
