We had such a great experience with Alexander Lewis. When we put our house up for sale in January 2023, it was a tough market. We decided to go with them after a recommendation from a friend, but also of all the agents we met, I felt Sarah was the most straight forward. This was reflected in their valuation, which took into account the difficult market, whereas some other agents told us much higher values we knew were unrealistic. Throughout the sale of our home, the entire team was helpful and gave us great advise without being pushy. They kept us informed throughout and just really gave us a great experience. We wouldn't hesitate to use Alexander Lewis again and strongly recommend them!

This is the second time we have used Alexander Lewis Estates, firstly to sell our previous home in Letchworth and now to sell my Wife's Aunts house in Pirton, and both houses sold quickly with the whole process from instruction to completion being seamless. On both occasions Sarah and her team were always there with their professional advice and exceptional customer service, and a constant willingness to go that extra mile, during the whole sales process. We were always kept up to date and copied in to all emails from buyers and sellers solicitors. Also on this occasion, Sarah dealt in such a caring and sensitive way, with my Wife's 87 year old aunt, putting her mind at rest, as well as keeping in regular contact with her, which she really appreciated, at the care home she now resides in. To top it off, Sarah even arranged house clearance for us, saving us the stress of finding someone reliable and available when we needed them. Thank you again for that Sarah. Definitely the best estate agents locally around Hitchin, Letchworth, Stevenage, Hertfordshire area. Used several estate agents beforehand who weren't able to sell my relative's property and were nowhere near as communicative as Sarah and the team at Alexandra Lewis. It was the first time for me to arrange the sale process on behalf a relative and Alexandra Lewis made it smooth and least stressful through the entire process. The way Alexander Lewis Estates is run should not be allowed. We viewed a property with Alexander Lewis Estates on the 8th April this year and within half an hour, made an offer “on the basis that the property was removed from sale and no more viewings would take place”. Our offer was accepted a day later on the 9th April, at which point Alexander Lewis began pressuring us to get solicitors in place to ensure the transaction happened as quickly as possible, which we were more than happy to accommodate. However, despite having instructed and paid for solicitors and spent nearly two weeks working towards a swift transaction taking place, we were told on the 22nd April that the sellers had now accepted a different offer. We were told by Glenn at Alexander Lewis Estates that we could make a higher offer if we wanted, but that there was nothing else that they could do, as they hadn’t still been marketing the property, hadn’t arranged any further viewings and that there had been no wrongdoing on their part because they are legally bound to pass all offers onto the sellers. This was however proven incorrect when we visited the sellers directly to ask what had happened. We were advised by the sellers that even after our offer was accepted, further viewings DID take place - arranged by Alexander Lewis, and that they were encouraged to accept the new offer which was higher than ours. Looking back, Alexander Lewis were always keen to only speak with us over the phone and didn’t provide any written communication to say our offer had been accepted (which from my new understanding is common practise) - we now know why! After speaking with the sellers and hearing the true version of events, we challenged Glenn at Alexander Lewis Estates again who still denied any wrongdoing. They did however agree to pay us back the money owed from lost solicitors fees. I won’t accept any money from them out of principle, but this to me at least firmly proves that Glenn admits there was wrongdoing.

Selling our property on the Lorship Estate, Letchworth. We interview several estate agency's and decided to let Sarah of Alexander Lewis Estate Agency manage the sale, her knowledge of selling properties linked to the Heritage Estate combined with a recommended solicitor who they regularily worked with seemed a good combination, especially as we were not familiar with area.The house was photographed, marketed, accompanied viewings, regular feedback both on property, market conditions and viewers comments. The importance of the liason between estate agent and solicitor became more important to progress and complete the sale. We started our journey to sell our home with not the greatest experience so we cut ties and contacted the team at Alexandra Lewis Letchworth. They promptly organised for a representative to come and meet with us to start the process of getting our property back on the market. They understood our need to sell our home as quickly as possible. They arrange for photos to be taken and the property was then up for advertisement on all portals used within a few days.
