First Class Service

Having been disillusioned with local agents we thought we would be ambitious and try an online agent. After some research we settled on Sellmyhome and what an excellent choice it turned out to be - they are really on the ball. We were allowed to write our own description - a big improvement on the boring drivel written by most agents. The viewing diary worked a treat and after only two viewings and less than a week on Rightmove, we sold for the asking price.Fortunately we had signed up to the completion service and Robbie was expert and proficient in keeping us up to date with how our chain was progressing and helped to bring about a timely exchange allowing us to make moving arrangements ahead of completion. I would highly recommend this service as knowing what progress is being made with solicitors etc. does help to make the stressful process of selling much easier.We were able to use our own photos and already had a floorplan and EPC so the whole sale costs came in at less than £1000 as opposed to the £15-20k we would have had to pay local agents.We will never use a high street agent again. We don't plan to sell in the near future but if we do it will be with Sellmyhome.

Charlie at Sell My Home has been excellent from start to finish. I have been so pleased with the level of service I have received and the great customer focus Charlie has. Sell My Home is so easy to do business and offer a service over and above that offered by any other estate agents I have ever used. You get the feeling that the team members want to sell your home just as much as you do and they are with you all the way. They call you when they say they will and they are proactive in communication with your Solicitor and Buyer. Unfortunately my house sale has fallen through due to our buyers Solicitor taking so much time to move the sale on but Charlie has supported us through the process so far and has been proactive in offering ideas to get the house resold quickly.Through sell my home you get a 5 star service for at a cost lower than the high street can offer you and as everything is online nowadays why should you fund the overheads for the estate agents office. I would definitely recommend Sell My Home to friends and family.

I have bought and sold many properties …

I have bought and sold many properties and always used traditional high street estate agents. I was quite nervous about using an online estate agent and was not sure what level of service I was going to recieve. Excellent from start to finish

Excellent from start to finish. A user friendly online interface was easy to populate with our property details (with real person help available if needed). The photographer and EPC assessment were arranged quickly and great photographs taken. It was easy to manage availability for viewings online; we had good interest from potential buyers and viewers reported that the property was both easy to find online and make online bookings to view. We accepted an offer within one week of being on the market (May 2017) and completed within just over 6 weeks (July 2017). We spoke with high street estate agents before we went with SellMyHome but couldn't justify the additional cost for no real additional service, other than a local store front. Thanks to Tom Crosthwaite who patiently answered my plethora of questions before we signed up and was really helpful throughout. We bought the basic package, paid upfront, and saved £2,455 compared to the high street estate agent alternative. We have recommended SellMyHome to many friends and colleagues and would absolutely use them again. Thanks again to Tom, Katie and a really helpful team who were always available and did what they said they would do when they said they would do it.

Fantastic Service from a 5* Company. Working with the Sell My Home team was effortless, nothing was too much trouble, they were always at the end of a phone to answer my many questions and hold my hand. Not only did they Sell my Home quickly, but they saved me loads of money too and actually I enjoyed doing my own viewings because I know my house better than anyone else.The Virtual Walk through did the trick, our buyers were very impressed and said it helped them tremendously. Fake "no sale, no fee" offer

I tried to sell my flat using Sellmyhome, unsuccessfully. I had chosen the "no sale, no fee" package. Managing Director Will Clark first referred me to the "small print" about a withdrawal fee of 350 pounds. The terms and conditions make no mention of such a fee, or under what circumstances it is charged. In addition, earlier today he wrote that there is no such package, even though their website advertises this as part of a huge banner! While he claimed he was trying to get "to the bottom of this," the money has been taken from my account.Edit: They have transferred the money back, hence I now consider my experience acceptable. I hope that in future the website will be precise on the terms and conditions for both deals offers.Edit #2: I suggest you put all the information on your website. There is no mention of a withdrawal fee in your terms & conditions. Telling people AFTER they have signed up is too late.

The Best Estate agent in the UK and beyond!

Sellmyhome have done a great quality and swift job from April 2017 to the end in July 2017. I was selling my house and buying another one whilst having a family of 7. Sellmyhome dealt with the solicitors, the sellers estate agents and other organisations that were party to the transaction. This took a lot of stress off my mind knowing that it was all in good hands. I would highly reccommend Sellmyhome to everyone as they are very professional and always there to update and deal with any query. They have been very simple, polite and hardworking throughout the sale and purchase process. I would certainly say to go with the most comprehensive package. They do not charge commission so it will save you a lot of money as well.A special thanks to Charlie who was always there to answer my million questions. We have just completed on our home and bought through sellmyhome. I have to say they were fantastic in particular Robbie who kept us up to date regularly, ALWAYS answered his phone, actually had time for us and nothing was too much trouble for him. And considering we weren't actually paying them it was a breath of fresh air. I would have no trouble recommending them and if I sell in the future then I will be selling through them. This genuinely is the future for estate agents. From the outset this company established itself with the upmost of professionalism. From my initial conversations regarding process, it was clear that the team had been carefully crafted-each part of the team is highly credible, professional and enthusiastic. I was sceptical diverting from the norm, but I had to investigate as the price was SO much better. On telephoning several online companies masquerading myself as a potential buyer to 'suss' out the process, Sellmyhome stood apart from other online companies with its ease of booking and professionalism. My wife and I thought we should take the leap, as we had received several weak conveyancing experiences in the past and felt we had little to lose.Viewings were organised swiftly and sensibly. The online portal is a doddle and this is backed up with telephone calls for the bookings. Potential buyers were always gently scrutinised so that we were aware of their own positions.We soon had an offer and opted for an additional service of the negotiation of handling of the sale. This was where Robbie from Sellmyhome shone. He was an absolute pleasure to communicate with. He was always on point with our sale- it felt as though he was entirely dedicated just to us with the manner in which he conducted himself. At no point did we find ourselves filling him in on our situation as he always seemed aware exactly of what stage we were at. He was friendly and professional from he outset and my wife and I really can't praise him enough.So to conclude what is clearly a gushing review- use SellMyhome...ask for Robbie.... we certainly will again down the line. Highly Recommended - Excellent service and support throughout the entire sale

This was my first attempt at using an online agency and, given the number of companies on the market, found it quite difficult to select the one I wanted to use. I ended up picking SMH as it's rate was competitive and the quality of its website and additional sales material (brochures/plans/pics etc) looked if good quality. I was not disappointed. Right from the beginning the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the process and getting me set up. Pictures and plans were produced quickly, efficiently and if really good quality. I was highly surprised at the volume of interest generated and how quickly an acceptable offer was received - approx 99% of asking in 2 months. In fact, I think amazed the local agent who I'd instructed only the week before to also market the property to speed up the sale! Appointments were also well managed and the online site was really easy for someone like myself who likes to manage his time. Overall, a fantastic experience with the market, sales and post- sales team at SMH and would definitely recommend it. In fact, I have already to a few friends.

Excellent Service!

No hesitation in recommending Sell My Home - everyone I dealt with was thorough, professional but personable and Robbie took so much sting out of the final leg of the sale process, it was worth every penny.I did my homework before deciding which online agent to run with - one didn't even bother to get back to me - and definitely made the right choice. A 'proper' photographer ensured the pictures optimised the property details - the first viewers offered an hour or so later without a second visit! Although that initial offer was declined, all the viewings thereafter were followed up so feedback was plentiful, something often missing with the 'high streets'. A close to asking price offer was accepted just before Christmas and Robbie helped keep things on track to meet a quick turnaround. So grateful for everyone's contribution along the way and I would definitely recommend Sell My Home to anyone considering selling. Saved myself bucket loads of commission!Thank you SMH!

Really Nice People But Absolutely Useless!

I chose Sell My Home because they showed the most interest during the pre instruction period. Little did I know at the time that they priced my home to win the instruction and it is now very clear the agents assigned to my property had very little understanding of the local market! The agents were all talk and no action and definitely succeeded in pulling the wool over my eyes. The property initially went on the market at £700k and only generated a few viewings. The agents recommended price reductions as their mechanism to generate interest before passing the property over to IamSold who suggested marketing the property with opening bids at £450k on their online auction but never received a single bid! Overall Sell My Home had my property on their books for over a year and it cost me over £22k in mortgage payments. This was a very bad experience and I missed out on buying 2 properties along the way due to having unachievable expectations set.

The service we received was exceptional. Harry, Will and the team were marvellous to deal with; helpful, provided considered responses and advice to keep the process moving with a lengthy chain, always available (including interrupting Harry whilst on holiday in France as he was the key contact with our buyer), personable and incredibly reasonable in terms of price. Our initial fear was that SellMyHome would not have enough presence in the market as they are a relatively new company and are only online. However, we had a number of viewings and had three offers within days of our property being on the market, and so our concerns were allayed very quickly.I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Excellent customer service

Sellmyhome have been brilliant! We would never use a high street estate agent again after our experience with Sellmyhome. We paid a very reasonable one off fee up front and the customer service we received has been first class. We had viewings booked within 48 hours of going live on their system and despite us paying for their most basic package, Tom and his team were happy to offer any additional advice. They responded efficiently to any viewing request emails and promptly enquired how viewings had gone. Their input and encouragement has made our whole selling process a smooth and pleasant experience. They clearly work to establish a personal relationship with their clients and were happy to accommodate at every stage. This was particularly impressive given we had already paid them their fee! I would not hesitate to recommend sellmyhome to anyone.

I recently sold our property through SellMyHome and it was not only the best financial decision I could have made but the level of customer service I received I simply couldn’t believe. Everything that everybody else has said in the other reviews is true and more. They believe in putting the customer first and actually do it. Nothing was too big or too small and I want to thank Will, Chris, Katie and everyone else at SellMyHome for their incredible work.A few examples of the lengths they went to:A day before our first viewing we received superb support from Harry, one of their local property experts, to talk me through previous transactions in the area and run through best practices.SellMyHome worked over the Easter weekend to ensure my sale went through before the buyer’s April 1st deadline.They were always on hand throughout the conveyancing process and expedited it with their conveyancing partners so that from our property going under offer, it took four days to reach completion. Their great advice ensured we had all information our buyers wanted even before they asked for it.They achieved the record price for a property in our block. Don't hesitate to use sell my home. It was the best decision i could have made to sell my flat

I cannot recommend Sell my home enough. I was hesitant at first. It sounds daunting and traditional agents will try to scare you to go with them and discourage you from selling yourself. It was so simple. Besides the viewings, the staff at SMH will do all the other work for you at a fraction of the price. The whole process was made so simple and user friendly. I know the flat sold for a great price. Even with the boom in the last 6 months the price we got for the flat is still amazing and still well above what similar flats are going for in the area. I have no doubt we would not have sold for so much if we had gone with a traditional estate agent. Even the 2 weeks we did have a traditional agent made me realise how much better the online system is compared to the traditional way of doing things. The minute the agent walked through the door i saw how much control you lose by using an agent. And getting them to do anything once they had the property on their books was a nightmare. Whenever i made a request to SMH it was actioned ASAP. They answered questions even after hours and on weekends. My traditional agent took 2 weeks to just respond to a small change in the listing. The traditional agent totally ignored planning permission i had for the flat and kept putting off my requests to include it despite agreeing it was a selling point. SMH were flexible in every respect. Their system and site organises all the viewing appointments for you. You just have to be there to do the viewing. They were even there for me when my onward purchase. They gave me great advice and even felt with the agent who was being difficult. This is what you expect and want an agent to be. I dealt with 20-30 agents during my search for my onward purchase and i wish i could say that any of them were as professional or trustworthy as SMH. For about £500 you get one of the best services i have ever experienced. GO FOR IT.

Tom at Sellmyhome was an angel throughout the whole year of me selling my flat. The sellmyhome team were also great, supportive, communicated with me all the way through the process and I seriously could not have held it together if it wasn't for Tom Crosthwaite being there for me every step of the way. The sellmyhome package is great value for money that also saved me thousands and I think that more people should sell there homes through portals like SellMyHome. I give this company 10 out of 10 stars for support, effort, consistency, communicating effectively and offering a great package that is fully comprehensive for anyone to sell their home. Great service while buying a new house - 5 stars

Having had a house purchase fall though we came across another one for sale in Reading on Sellmyhome.com. The property was shown on right move and zoopla however to arrange a viewing you needed to use the Sellmyhome site. At first I thought this was an unnecessary step above using the built in tools on right move however this in fact provides a direct line of contact in to the seller. Viewings were arranged and questions answered allowing me to make an informed decision and meet the seller 1-1 getting a much deeper insight into the property than viewing with agents alone. That said when buying through sell my home there was still a really great agent (Tom) who was able to help the offering process and answer a whole host of questions acting as a sounding board on complex components. Having looked at the prices they charge in comparison to what I paid to sell my house I think they are a bargin and will be recommending to friends and family. The only feedback around improvements would be to the UI of their portal, it is fully functional but could be easier to navigate as it took more time to familiarise myself with then most modern sites/portals. Outstanding service

The experience with SMH was nothing short of outstanding. We had 18 or so viewings booked for the first weekend that our flat went live on zoopla etc. This led to five offers, which included two over our asking price. We accepted one of those and the sale progressed smoothly (as we booked the additional progression service, and Tom was brilliant at dealing with our buyers). The pictures their photographer took made the flat look incredible. Additionally I think that us doing the viewings ourselves led to more interest as it was a London ex-council property and the buyers had a feel for us and could envision themselves living there. This was for us a much better option than the high street agent route. We saved loads and I think possibly even got more for the flat as a result of the photos and us selling it, versus an agent who would not really know the property. No regrets from us.

Big Big Thank you TOM!

I had tried to sell my house 4 years ago and it was on the market for 2 years at a difficult economic period and did not sell. So it was with some apprehension, after having done some improvements cosmetically (re-plastering, painting, carpeting, tiling and updating the look of the kitchen) and getting a new boiler that I approached the online selling agent Sellmyhome. I thought I would give it a try, unsure of the result but it could not be worse than the experience with a well known high street agent. Tom was very friendly and extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. He gave very good advice and encouragement so I appointed Sellmyhome at the end of August. The photographer took exceedingly beautiful pictures and I will keep the brochure just because my house looked so beautiful! The house was online, live within 24 hours, and went off line within less than that time because genuine buyers came in, had a look around, and made an offer. I accepted the second offer, helped by Tom, who did the negotiation for a higher price, which I would not have expected. The sale of the house took a long while due to a few issues to be sorted and online solicitors who unfortunately were shall we say diplomatically not as good as they were rated. Anyway this does not take away the shine of SellmyHome, who I warm heartedly recommend to give a try. They are very good value, and I would suggest using their sale progression add-on which help get things moving along. At several points of the sale progression things got stuck and if it had not been for Tom's persistence and know how could have ended up in loss of the sale. But Tom kept a very positive and friendly attitude and thanks to him I have now reached exchange of contracts at last. I am very very very pleased and want to say a BIG THANK YOU TOM!!!!! Leila

Excellent service! Great communication, always would get response to my emails straight away. At first I tried to market my apartment in Stratford via high street agency, 5 weeks of marketing and didn’t get a single offer (very few viewings) and they would charge me around £6,000 in fees on the sale price. I was disappointed and dropped them, I have chosen sellmyhome.co.uk based on online reviews.
