GoogleEDIT:: Having seen the reply below from Haart, I can assure them that the property was left in a better condition than when we moved in. As I said, their claims were unfounded. Thank goodness for Justice for Tenants and the deposit scheme, calling out the injustice, placing the blame with the landlord where it rightly lay and giving us our money back. It's hard to know where to begin in describing how incompetent Haart lettings are. We dealt with them for three years and their communication was always poor, getting increasingly worse as our tenancy went on. We had enormous trouble with our landlord blaming us for things we weren't responsible for, and we had to go through a deposit dispute in order to get our deposit back. Amongst various outrageous claims made against us, Haart had 'reason to believe' that we had a dog 'throughout' our tenancy, trying to prove that we'd breached our contract. Having never owned a dog, nor even had a friend's dog ever visit the property, this was no less than an outright lie on their part, one fabricated in order to scare us into not taking further action. Their proof was a photo of perhaps 2-5 completely unidentifiable hairs, taken three weeks after we vacated. They also tried to claim for a heater, installed onto the wall of the property, which apparently had been 'installed without permission'. Ironically, the same staff member from Haart who did our checkout and flagged this up, was the same man who'd requested the installation of the heater a couple of years ago. The stupidity and lack of attention at every turn just went from bad to worse. Luckily, our deposit dispute has now been resolved in our favour, but I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through a similar experience. I wouldn't recommend Haart to anyone. I also understand that our landlord is also partly to blame for the claims, the letting agent doesn't take the whole blame, but this doesn't and shouldn't distract from the fact that they are utterly incompetent.

Mr. Idrees, Thank you for your comments, I am sorry you feel this way. As you can see the owner of the property in question has left a review clearly stating what happened. We set a deadline for best and final offers as you rightly stated, and your offer was accepted. However, one other party offe red a higher amount after the deadline, and we are legally obliged to present all offers to our client; which we did. They chose to accept this offer for 2 reasons; the first is that the offer was higher than yours, they wouldn't turn down more money. The second being that they had been let down by a buyer previously who used a third party mortgage advisor, and wanted their buyer to use our in house services so we could oversee the transaction as much as is possible. I have attempted to contact you regarding this to clarify with no luck; please feel free to call me or drop into branch and discuss this with you.
