Moving house can be super super stressful something I personally do not enjoy but this has all changed! I was taken care of by a lady called Rhiannan who really took her time to find me my dream place, we did a few viewings and she got a feel of what I was looking for even though I didn't fully know myself. Rhiannan is a true asset to the danvers team, her customer service skills blew me away, would definitely recommend!!

I would just like to thank Verene for guiding me through the purchase of my 2 properties. She was very professional at all times and kept me updated throughout. Thank you

If I could give no stars I would!! where to start with how incompetent this estate agents is...... Firstly they did not let my friend (one of the tenants) move into the accommodation on the 1st July(when tenancy starts) because we hadn't paid the first round of rent...even though it was agreed she could otherwise she would be homeless! So to resolve this she had to pay for all the other tenants first round of rent just so she could move in. This then affected our pre-made standing orders and we then got overcharged even more!! Absolutely ridiculous policies and disgusted at their behaviour. They didn't clean the house before we moved in; finger nails, dust and hair was all over the carpets and under the beds! We ask for them to fix a light that was hanging from the socket of the ceiling, this was never fixed and then at the end of our tenancy they requested that we pay for it to be fixed because they claimed WE had broken it and this affected our deposit!! Meanwhile, they would send people over to fix OTHER things such as our fence and not have the decency to email us to let us know when this would be happening. DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY!

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Danvers. We called to book a viewing and were shown all the houses and more we wanted to view within a few days. Mia was great! She helped us through the entire process and we were able to reserve our house within an hour of viewing. Less than a week later, all our questions are answered, our contract is signed and we are ready to go. Couldn’t recommend them any higher!!!!

Best estate agency I have ever seen. They were very kind and polite and helped us find a home in our budget and also which was amazing. Me and my friend just reserved a house today and Miss Keira was very helpful and she helped us find the perfect match.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This letting agency is the absolute worst I’ve ever dealt with. Their customer service is abysmal, with staff who are not only unhelpful but downright rude. They consistently failed to respond to emails and phone calls, leaving us in the dark about crucial details of our tenancy. Maintenance issues were a nightmare. It took them weeks, sometimes months, to address serious problems like leaks and broken appliances, causing us significant inconvenience and stress. When they finally did send someone, the repairs were often subpar, requiring multiple follow-ups. Their approach to managing deposits was also incredibly unprofessional. At the end of our tenancy, they made unjustified deductions without proper explanation or documentation. The whole process felt like a scam designed to squeeze more money out of tenants. Overall, this agency’s incompetence and lack of basic decency made our renting experience a living hell. Avoid them at all costs.

I've been a landlord at Danvers for a few years now. They have managed to let my student property every year - even through the pandemic - at very good rates. I use their fully managed service and they keep me informed when and if they need to. Otherwise they manage all issues - which is more than I can say for my previous agents! I would highly recommend them to any landlord.

don’t care about their renters, as a renter myself, don’t go with these people. both bed frames, mattresses and wardrobes are broken, “professional cleaning” was only done to one room and we received no reimbursement that was promised for …

Probably the WORST estate agents I have ever used - complete liars - they first claimed an £80 cleaning charge for a pet which was never indoors and when disputed with the DPS they changed the claim to “residues in fridge and oven”. Organising house visits when two members of the household had tested positive and then threatening fines if we didn’t let them. And on top of that threatening MORE fines if we didn’t return the keys by 9am. The list goes on. DO NOT USE DANVERS!!!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Would Not Recommend!!!! What started out as a promising turned sour. With a lack of communication and being left to live with thick black mould throughout my bedroom. The property had serveral issues such as cracks all over/leaking windows/damages guttering and tiles. After moving in the property and emailing from october 2019 through to june 2020 about sais mould, nothing was done, advised or put in place to make this a comfortable tenancy. With constant dead end replies from the estate agents themselves and the poor communication between them and the landlord i have left this tenancy dissapointed. After getting environmental health involved before the pandemic it was said something had to be done about the mould but again left with no communication. After leaving the tenancy the estate agents attempted to take my deposits for "black mould" which even they admitted it was black mould after denying it. Black mould can be harmful and i was left to live with it for 10 months. DO NOT RECOMMEND. The 5 star reviews you see are given as students are bribed with chocolates on day of contract signings. Do not belive the.

Shocking service. They're all so rude when you give them a call and just seem too busy to listen (I would have written too busy to help but they don't even attempt that) . We definitely have different ideas of what liveable conditions are and what cleanliness is. Upon moving into the house we found dirty socks under the beds, wrappers everywhere, thick layers of dust on the surfaces and skirting boards. It was not pleasant. But they class that as liveable conditions.. We spent 3 days cleaning that house top to bottom till there was no dust in sight. I rang them when we moved in to tell them how disgusted I was. The first person I spoke to said that "we don't get cleaners in because the tenants are meant to clean", I then spoke to another woman who told me they'd had cleaners in. No consistency at all. We have a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen (which wasn't there when we viewed the house). I sent the maintenance form in for this in July and they acknowledged it. But now they're saying they won't fix it because it's still liveable. I also told them that we are student nurses and midwives 2nd year and have night shifts. So everything should be fixed as soon as possible. They've had 2 months and not fixed one thing. PLEASE, PLEASE don't use them because it's more hassle than its worth. You'd rather spend more money and be stress free then try to save and have a horrible living experience..

I found the act of buying a new house and selling my existing house to be a very stressful experience, with the stamp duty holiday end looming, Covid and solicitors giving the impression of dragging their feet. Verene at Danvers, however, was amazing. Whenever she got involved, things starting moving again when it seemed everything was a a standstill. Danvers had come recommended to me from a close friend, and I would recommend them to others in a heartbeat. Thank you for all you have done, it's truly appreciated!.

I cannot recommend Danvers enough. Alexis, Molly and the team are very professional and always provide me with an excellent service. Danvers manage 6 of my Student Properties around the Narborough Road area and always ensure I am kept updated should an issue arise. Great work everyone and keep up the good work!! I would recommend Danvers to any Landlords out there.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Quickly sorted us out with a house we liked, staff were friendly and helpful with explaining terms in the contract.... initially. My original review of danvers was coerced when I'd just moved into a student house, the house was good, and received a food gift. Over the next two years me and my housemates were scammed out of thousands of pounds each from bills - if you find a property through Danvers, check the contract thoroughly to see the maximum they can charge you, and if at all possible do not get a bills inclusive contract.

Rented a 2 bed student property with Danvers paid for all bills inclusive including internet, we were left without internet and a host of other maintenance issues for close to 2 months dealing with rude customer service representatives. Don’t expect to receive what you’re paying for as stated by Danvers themselves with regard to being left without internet “students can use the library for internet” and “what do you want me to do about it”. Never go into an agreement with these lot. Multitudes of issues, first of they would not let me contact the landlord, secondly they will rob you of your money especially on bills, on average an house bill should come up-to a £1000 for the entire house, but ended up being over £3000 (depending on how many tenants), house will come damaged and they try take your deposit saying we broke stuff, poor customer service, and to be honest the list continues. Everyone who is giving this 5 stars are all fake accounts aswell. And danvers if you're reading this, hope your business fails you don't deserve no customers.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

If I were able to give this ABSOLUTE JOKE of an estate agent a zero I would. Experienced nothing but problems with them, the staff have a vile attitude and once you sign the tenancy, their "nice polite mannerism" disappears. If you are planning to call them regarding issues with the property be prepared as they have a terrible phone manner and issues will not be resolved until you have contacted them regarding the same thing at least 5 times over. The property was in a right state, it was FILTHY. It was as if they had forgotten that we were moving in. After having sent numerous emails to them regarding my deposit refund, I have received nothing. I am fed up of having to constantly chase my queries with them and to receive nothing but radio silence. AVOID at all costs, do not be fooled by these idiots.

STUDENTS: DON'T BOTHER. To sum up: cat urine in the floorboards for 3 months, bits of ceiling falling in the middle of the night; items stolen after not being in the house for 3 months due to lockdown - and they did nothing. Communication between them and the landlord was non-existent, so it took ages to fix all broken items in the house. Have no respect for students at all; exploiting the fact that most students are clueless with house renting.

DO NOT RENT WITH THESE - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A STUDENT First let me list what was wrong with the accommodation I had book for year 1 at DMU in 2018/2019: - rats everywhere, especially near the boiler and in the walls - no working smoke alarm or co2 detector - no fire-doors until the end of residency, even then only a thin strip was placed around the doors - the locks to the bedrooms were easily opened - a housemates window smashed and they didn’t help until a week after, this was during the storms in 2018 - the owner of the house actually lived there just until we moved in so his things were still in the house - the council told the landlord the kitchen was too small for 7 tenants, did danvers care? they did not. (i witnessed the council tell the landlord this) Danvers did not help with any of our issues. Their response was always ‘contact the landlord’ however he was inaccessible and useless. They only care about money and try to grab as much as possible. They put out deposits into a different company *without telling us/ it was NOT in the context that they would be doing this* and now we cannot get our deposits back, it has been two years and £250 is still a lot of money. Their *emergency contacts* never answer the phone and are completely useless. The council said the property, 18 Fosse Road South, was not up to code ESPECIALLY for 7 people, Danvers still continued to rent out the property to unknowing students. We had rats, lots of them, Danvers gave us a phone number and told us they wouldn’t be able to help. We ended up hiring a private company to help us. It was borderline inhospitable. Not to mention the windows, probably saved from the Victorian era. The rooms were cold 99.9% of the time, they chipped paint onto everything and so did the radiator. The radiator also leaked. I could write a novel about this disgusting accommodation and the equally disgusting letting agents who do not care about students, the more naive the better. Praying on first years to take up their horrible homes. Also prepare to get legal action, that’s the road I am going down. Good luck if you go with these morons.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Dear Jessica, thank you for your review. As your contract is directly with your landlord we do not hold authorisation for the tenancy. Due to the size of the property the legal owner would be required to hold a HMO licence that is issued by the Leicester city council, This is to ensure the property is habitable and fit for occupation. The legal owner does hold this required licence. All deposits are held with a third party company as stated in your tenancy agreement. Please contact us directly and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Kindest regards,
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
