Worst agency in the town to deal with. They don't care about their tenants. While viewing the house they will say we will do professional cleaning and give you requested inventories . However once you do agree to buy that house. you will have to chase for small things. All the rubbish will be under the bed, electric switch won't work, washroom gets choked, broken bed, lock set, door, etc Which they don't care about. Even if you try to post all this on Google reviews they ask you to take your reviews back and ask you to sign legal documents. One of the worst agencies.

2024- I viewed a few student houses in January 2024 through Ellie and she was very helpful throughout the whole booking process. My emails were responded to straight away with any help Ellie or Chelsea could give. They've been very accommodating with my situation of not being in the country to go into the office in person. Looking forward to moving into one of their properties in July. Amended July 2025- The staff at Danvers are brilliant and reply so fast however I would recommend that when people view student properties, they ask who the energy supplier is. We've had such a stressful year with The Student Energy Group (supplied by Tomato Energy) including them trying to charge more money even though we were under the allowance and average UK household usage. When this was said to maintenance/landlord they seemed to believe Danvers gets a commission from the usage and weren't very helpful when this was brought up by them hence the 4/5 stars now. I would still highly recommend Danvers as an estate agents just check who the bills providers are before signing so you're more prepared. Rookie move on our behalf.

Possibly some of the worst service i've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Broken shower was dealt with after 8 months, we spent a good portion of winter without heating, there was rats when we moved in, it hadn't been cleaned, my bed was missing half of the spines, the couches were ripped and the back yard was filled with cigarette butts, all of which they ensured would be fixed. I have photo graphic proof of each and every one of these allegations.

Waste of time

Was renting with them for two years. Houses are dirty, unfit for purpose and they take advantage of students who do not know how to stand up for themselves. They do not get people to do the job and have no idea if issues get solved and frankly, I do not think they care at all. It is known that they bribe people to give them 5 stars reviews on Google and I would not be surprised if they were using fake accounts to write positive reviews themselves. I posted a negative review with more details of my experience on Google and got an e-mail from Danvers asking me to delete the review as it is not true. It said that it is not their fault they were useless because it was up to landlord to deal with the issues. Of course we contacted a landlord before and obviously we were told that he he is paying Danvers to deal with it for him. There is no point in having estate agency if they are not doing the job you are paying them for and Danvers are not interested in anything but stealing your money

WARNING - STUDENTS AVOID USING DANVERS!! I am writing this review as the parent of a student who was unfortunate enough to rent a shared house through this joke of an outfit last academic year. There is nothing good to say; there were ongoing false claims of non rental payments when in fact everyone paid on time the entire tenancy and never a single apology on their part. We are now persuing our deposit through the Deposit Protection Scheme as Danvers are claiming a large chunk of it, for what we believe to be false reasons. The house was left in a better, cleaner condition at the end of the tenancy than at the start! Finally, and this really is the icing on the cake...somehow I managed to over pay one month's rent, the sum of £390, not an insignificant amount of money. This only came to light when I was checking my banking details to make sure that we did not owe them anything due to the deposit being contested. I strongly believe that this company would have happily held onto my money indefinitely had I not noticed. If we do not receive every penny back that we are owed, we are considering taking legal action against Danvers as it would appear that sharp practice is something they specialise in. I cannot comment on other aspects of their business only that which I have personally experienced and I would say to anyone looking to rent student accommodation, go anywhere but Danvers, a more unscrupulous letting agent would be hard to find. They take advantage of students, some far away from home and line their pockets...take heed!NegativeProfessionalism

They make everything clear leading you to be confident with your decision when leaving the estate agents. They offer nice chocolates. They make travel to his house viewings easy for you.
