We had a very messy chain..our bottom of chain dragging his heels even to the point of breeching contract, but we got there in the end! Manning Stainton has the house next door to me in the very bad winter a slate came of it fell on my garden it was all in one piece this was weeks ago nothing has been done now the guttering is coming down and part of the fall pipe I told them again the attitude is terrible I complained again said it could effect my guttering as its next to mine the fall pipe is joined next to mine I told them this its like talking to a brick wall I would never recommend Manning Stainton to any one It has not been rectified it still has the slate off the guttering falling off and the fall pipe hanging off you need to send some one to inspect it the person who told you it had been rectified is not telling the truth . I said the slte came off when it was all the rain and wind the guttering came off a few weeks ago and the fall pipe came off this week . I'd like you to send someone to look at it . I have the slate . The people I spoke to was not at all helpful this week I asked to speak to the manager she said he wasn't here another one slammed the phone down on me because I was very angry at the progress you made . If in future there is a problem I won't ring you . Please send some one to see it and send me your apology the address is 27 Stanmore Grove ls42rj I am 80yrs old and don't tell lies some of the repairs have been done in a fashion but the slate has not been replaced . I would like the manager to ring me to put the matter to rest

Having looked into this matter, I believe there may be some confusion regarding the timescales involved, as our Headingley office only commenced marketing of the neighbouring property on 6th March and your first report to us was received on 26th May. We are therefore unsure whether some of the issues raised may relate to a period prior to our instruction. That said, once the matter was brought to our attention, we contacted the Vendor immediately and it is our understanding that the issues raised have since been addressed. I was also disappointed to read the comments regarding the attitude of our team, as everyone involved has been more than helpful in trying to assist and relay the concerns appropriately. Michael was a great help, from taking the time to take me around and show me loads of properties to always responding and getting back to me regarding any questions and queries. I've sold with these and, honestly, I wouldn't recommend them at ALL. They're brilliant if you're buying from them, but if you're selling, they'll just call you, rip you off, and give you false information. They'll slip something into the contract that you haven't actually read, so you have to be absolutely careful. Make sure you read every single detail because they say one thing and then do something totally opposite. I spoke to the branch manager again today and, as expected, he just defended his staff. I've been totally conned, 100%, and there's nothing I can do about it. Would not recommend dealing with them at all.
