Selling our family home after 42yrs was really difficult, and after being messed around by buyers, Jenny from Auction house was wonderful, and understanding. A simple and quick process to put the paperwork together, office staff were lovely, and thankfully the house sold in its first Auction, thanks to all.

I bought I property through AHWY in Dec 2022. Easy viewing with helpful viewer. Good communication with AHWY office staff in the run up to auction to try to make an offer prior to auction (which didn’t get accepted). The house was taken to the room and luckily I was the successful bidder. The team were quick to confirm exchange, take payment and issue documents so that conveyancing could start as it only had a 14 day completion. I prefer AHWY to many of the other national auction houses as they really know the area, communicate well and don’t tend to allow ridiculous additional fees, although this property did come with £3k of extras by the time I’d paid a buyer premium, a buyer fee and the seller’s search costs, then add auction fee, stamp duty and legal costs! But this is always clearly listed out in the legal packs. Thanks AHWY for a great service, i would highly recommend.

A good experience all the way from valuation to sale. Chris clearly really understood our market and guided us throughout the process of selling via auction which we had no experience of, with lots of help and advice. We felt like we were in good hands, had great support from the whole team and a really positive experience all round with a good sale.Its nice to deal with a business that makes customers feel valued and focuses on service - we don't see enough of it these days!

James explained the whole process and, pretty much once we had signed up, we sat back and James took care of everything, arranging viewings and managing tenants and letting agents for us. James is a pleasant and engaging individual and this shone through at the auction itself and is probably why James achieved a sale of 37% more than we had previously been offered. James also recommended a solicitor and this turned out to be a good piece of advice. All in all this was a magnificent experience for us and I have no reticence in recommending the service. A big thank to James and the team. 😊

Made it through in the end but the Auction House employee who facilitated the purchase made me feel like he didn’t care at all and basically did the bare minimum through out the process. And of course they charge an exorbitant rate much higher than an estate agent for not doing much at all. Sad that much money went to them.
