I've been using Stirling Ackroyd for a couple of years as landlord to manage 2 lettings and have had contact more recently with Abby Gooptu (Renewals Manager) and previously Clive Martin and Ben Rendell (Property Managers) and Billy Quinn (Lettings Manager). I'm happy with the service and I've found all the team friendly and helpful. I do feel they do their best to resolve things that inevitably come up and they have always responded to me in a timely manner. Nothing major has gone wrong with the lettings so far (thankfully) but if something major went wrong I do feel they'd help you out as best they can.

We have used Stirling Ackroyd a few times over the years so that in itself says what we think - they do a good job and we trust them to do it. We have just re-let our house and it was a relatively stress free experience. Abby managed the whole process brilliantly - he is tactful, friendly and I believe genuinely tries to get the best outcome.The minus 1 star is really about the re-let fees and that comes down to the fact that I hadn't read the contract properly the 1st time. Having said that , the outcome is acceptable but I do think that the % fees are still valued to to high for the work done second time around. The service though far out weighs this niggle!

The 5 stars is for Cameron Jones who I have just found out has recently left Stirling Ackroyd. Cameron you will be very much missed as you were always on hand to sort out any Rental statement / Accounts queries. You put in incredible hours and were never flustered. I wish you good luck and hope that your successor(s) at SA ( who I use on a regular basis)will be just as efficient ! You will be a difficult act to follow.

We came from a tiring period of searching for properties within our budget and we ended up viewing a couple of properties with Stirling Ackroyd. Our agent, Feroza, picked up pretty quickly our taste and understood our requirements. She showed us immediately something that fitted ourselves and made the process easy. I highly recommend them!

GoogleOne week ago I went to see a property and I liked, I did the procedure, made an reasonable offer to the landlord and gave my bank's details, I don't understand why it took too long to the agent to give me the answer from the landlord and at the end, the answer from the agent was the landlord received a better offer and if I wanted to take it I will need to make a better offer, all this on space of 30 minutes, so my question is: it works as an auction playing who give more. If the answer is yes, why this property is still available on internet? because all this was very disappointed and a huge waste of time.

GoogleAbsolutely terrible service from Townends lettings. My boyfriend and I took a morning of holiday from work to view a property, but the agent emailed 10 minutes after the arranged time to cancel because he had a "Monday morning meeting". When I pushed for further explanation (I called), he told me the property we wanted had been taken off the market the day before. I then went to Townsend to ask what was going on, at which point they told me it was still available and took me to see it. We offered the asking rent price, signed all the forms and gave our card details to pay the holding deposit. 4 days later, after daily calls, we finally found out the property had been taken by someone else!! So much wasted time and energy. Completely unprofessional and useless agents - go literally anywhere else. PS. Completely extortionate fees, four times what we eventually paid elsewhere

I had a really good experience letting my flat through the Soho office; Scott, Nic and the the team provided me with a very professional service. They vetted prospective tenants closely and gave me very honest feedback.They were good at problem solving when issues arose and gave very valuable advice at each stage of the letting process. I would recommend them highly and of course, use them again.

Townends and now Stirling Ackroyd following the rebrand has been my property manager and agent since 2006. They have been highly effective in securing tenants and managing the property. In particular I have worked closely with Nicole who is an excellent, and extremely responsive property manager. She makes my life as a landlord alot less stressful and she is great at making sure tenants are well looked after.
