Contractors should avoid at all costs!

Contractors should avoid at all costs!! We fitted a cylinder in a property for this agent, and have received no payment, now three month overdue. They tried to pass us onto the landlord when we’ve worked direct with them. We’ve still heard nothing, despite numerous calls, emails, complaints. We will be forced to get a debt recovery involved. Would not recommend working for them!

Just sold my house with Bridgfords in Withington and couldn't fault them. They communicated with me regularly, kept me updated with the sale, chased solicitors up when needed and supported me throughout the process. Amazing service from the team at Bridgfords in Knutsford - they worked so hard to secure the sale of my property, despite lots of bumps along the way (which were nothing to do with them). They went above and beyond in terms of communicating with various parties and chased and chased until the bitter end to make sure we could exchange and complete on the same day.

Extremely unprofessional company.Absolutely no communication skills with each other (or with us as the landlords). This resulted in us losing money, and money being taken incorrectly on several occasions.Whenever an issue was raised with Stephen, we had to send numerous emails over weeks to receive any answers as to what was going on. They always had to be chased up, and would never email on their own to let us know what was happening.When an issue had been raised, some staff would send patronising emails, rather than trying to solve the issue, especially Chloe and Lauren. This was just another area of unprofessionalism that was shown.A company that was sent to take photos to assess damage to the property was appalling. They 'forgot' to take photographs of important areas that had been damaged, such as the flooring that had come up.A tenant reported a leak to the company, which was not reported to us at all (again a lack of communication). This resulted in us having to pay over 1500 pounds for a new floor.We were told that no further money was owed to the company, and all that was left to sort was the amount of deposit money that would be returned to us for damages to the property. When we received this, hundreds of pounds had been deducted from the company, with no explanation as to what this was and why this was deducted.On another occasion, we told the company not to carry out an annual gas check as the tenant was leaving. They ignored this, did not even bother to let us know that they had carried this out until over 2 months later when we continuously questioned what was going on. We never received this money back, and despite emails proving the lack of communication, not even an apology was given.It became extremely obvious that this is simply a money making business, with no regard for the customer. We originally had Bridgfords in full control of the property, however with every necessary repair, they would always quote ridiculous amounts compared to any other company that we dealt with. They tried to take money off us at every opportunity, again with a lack of explanation and no actual service.We have numerous properties, and would definitely not recommend this company, or use them to manage any of our properties in the future. A huge improvement in communication and professionalism needs to be made.

From the moment I rang Bridgfords to arrange a viewing where initially I was told there had been that much interest in the property I was put on a waiting list but Samantha bent over backwards and got me the viewing which eventually lead to me buying our gorgeous new home. They rented me a house at 26 Jefferson Walk ST16 1WF and I listened to construction noises for 1 year and they forced me to sign an additional contract for 1 year even though I told them before. They tried to rent me this house above market prices. When I left, they had no other choice so they rented it to others at a lower price. They are not honest and try to rip people off. Also, do not trust the zero deposit system, they work together and try to get money from you

Leah, from the Knutsford branch, came out on Friday 22nd September 2023, to value my 80 year old mothers property, she gave my mother all the information and told her the total cost to sell the property, through Bridgford's Knutsford. Mum asked if she could think about it over the weekend and could Leah ring back on Monday 25th September, Leah, said no problem, I'll call on Monday, nearly 2 weeks later, mum is still waiting for her to call back, it is now 4th October 2023. Un professional and ignorant, especially as my mother is 80 Years of age. Mum has now moved on to another, much more professional company.

Excellent Customer Service

I visited a number of estate agents in Halifax Centre last week and Bridgfords were the best by far. On entry I was welcomed by Courtney who went above and beyond to help me with my enquiry. She took my details and added me to the mailing list for updates and has been actively sending properties that may be of interest to me ever since. Her colleague Alix was also really helpful. You can feel that the culture here is all about the people & customer. The estate agent I went to prior (not mentioning any names but very, very close to Bridgfords) had me sitting around for 10 minutes whilst on a call then reluctantly gave me a print out of a property that already had 25 people booked to view the next day (a pointless exercise, just fob me off why don't you) He didn't even take my details and I felt as though he couldn't wait to go for his lunch. Now that's what bad customer service. But Bridgfords do not deserve bad press. May I urge you to please take no notice of the bad reviews below because the team here are warm, welcoming & lovely and good at what they do so keep you heads high, because you deserve a big well done! :)

After being shown a property for rent I…After being shown a property for rent I informed the agent from Bridgfords in Sale that I’d like to put an offer in. The agency said she’d call later that day to talk me through the checks required ect and how to proceed. No call me no response from texts from the agent. When I called the office I was informed an offer was put in the day after I’d viewed the place and it was now off the market!! How was I not able to put an offer in. Had my time wasted be lied too. Had to take time out of work during a busy period to be ignored. Stay well clear of Bridgfords in sale. I won’t mention the agents name publicly as much as I’d like too

My experience with Bridgfords Letting Agents in Newcastle was nothing short of disappointing. As a landlord, I expect a certain level of service and professionalism, none of which were demonstrated by Bridgfords Newcastle branch. I would strongly advise against using their services and will be seeking alternatives for my property management needs in the future.

Bridgfords Halifax were excellent

Sarah Broadbent was our contact person and she was excellent from the start. We viewed the property online but Sarah ensured that we had a good look at the property although it was virtually, she explained/answered many of our queries as this area was new for us. Communication was great and Sarah ensured we had all the information before we moved to the property and she was present to hand us the key at the property. She made us feel welcomed to the area and the property and this will remain with us forever. We are very happy with the property, there was a little problem with the bathroom door, it was fixed within days. No other issues have been reported, but I believe they will take good care of it if any issue arises. I will strongly recommend Bridgfords and thanks to Sarah.
