GooglePersonable, efficient, hard-working…Everybody at Seymour’s in Knaphill worked tirelessly to sell our house. GoogleWe were lucky enough to be buying a house that was being sold through Seymours recently. From the first viewing staff were professional and polite. When we put in our offer the team were amazing, and kept in touch, reassuring us about the process because we were first time buyers. They really impressed me because they periodically checked in with us to keep us up to date on what was happening which was so reassuring. I would definitely recommend working with Seymours, especially as first time buyers, because they were supportive and spelled everything out for us! Where to start my experience with Seymours from beginning to the end was very professional and responsive started off with house viewing with Billy a true gem super knowledgeable about the property answered every question asked.Then me and Mrs. Was super impressed with his presentation after our case was dealt by Clarissa who was very responsive to every query raised and picked up call whenever required or called back.We would like to Thank you so very much for being patience with us and dealing with every aspect of enquiries we had. Do not use Seymours, Worplesdon Road! This is the advice (as I told the manager at the time) that I got from several people, but I failed to heed it because the current manager told me that the previous manager (with whom he'd worked) had now left the company. I said that I hoped that I'd have the sort of positive experience with them that would mean I could counter their poor reputation. How wrong was I! I had a horrible experience with these agents. When I instructed them the website showed four ex-staff members, but in fact there were only two members of staff throughout my time of advertising my property, in Oct and Nov 2020. No doubt they were over-loaded, but a nearby competitor also had only two members of staff, but at that time were handling three times the number of houses and maintained their good reputation. Seymours were inefficient, unreliable, inaccurate and not to be trusted. As an example of their many failures, during the increased risk and restrictions in Nov due to covid 19, and being in my sixties, I wanted viewings to be sensibly limited (I was doing my own viewings). My property has an unusual boundary at the front which puts off some buyers, so I instructed Seymours to ask anyone interested in viewing, and who was local, to do a drive-by first so that they could properly judge the unusual lay-out, after which a viewing could be booked. The following week Seymours failed to follow this instruction with the three potential viewers who made enquiries, so no viewings were arranged. I subsequently spoke to two of these three, after Seymours and I parted ways following this fiasco. One had never heard back from Seymours (even though I was specifically asking Seymours for contact to be made with them) and the other had a totally inaccurate scenario put to them by Seymours, which had annoyed them at the time. In getting hold of these people I spoke to two local small-time property developers. One said that Seymours were the worst agents in the area and the other said that if ever they were interested in buying a property and it was being sold by Seymours they sighed at the thought of having to deal with that agent and their inefficiencies. As mentioned by another reviewer, it was also clear (by something that the manager said) that they put great pressure on potential viewers to sign up with them, if they haven't yet got their property on the market. I told the manager that I disapproved of that practice.

On moving ahead with our decision to rent a property through Seymours, time was of the essence. We found the back office support staff and process to be poor. Calls would go unanswered and promises of callbacks didn’t happen. Approaching a deadline to give notice or renew on our existing tenancy, we couldn’t rely on Seymours and therefore gave in. An appalling company to communicate with. I should have read Trustpilot reviews before going ahead. The negative reviews are absolutely correct.

The team were professional yet friendly and empathic. Very easy to deal with. We liked the fact that all the team came to familiarise themselves with the property and introduce themselves to us. Provided feedback on viewings apart from the odd occasion when unable to obtain this from the client. We felt that they were doing there best for us.
Getting to know the houses and the owners is a really important part of your property journey. Feedback and communication helps simplify the process and makes for a more pleasurable experience for us as well as you, and being empathetic is just a great team being human! The staff at Seymours Horsell are amazing. They know the local market very well and are able to price houses appropriately as they are based in the heart of Horsell. They are all friendly, accommodating and pragmatic in their approach to viewings etcThey are very proactive and made my move a more pleasant experience than it could have been.
