We first met Anne Luby in April 2024, and by September, we had found the perfect property. From our very first meeting, Anne was polite, professional, friendly, kind, and enthusiastic. Months later, we chose Anne as our mortgage advisor, and she still remembered our names and circumstances. Her demeanor remained just as warm and professional as when we first met. Throughout our meetings, Anne ensured we were actively involved, walking us through every step of the mortgage process. She shared her screen with us and explained everything clearly. Although our situation was somewhat complex, Anne helped us secure a mortgage quickly. She kept us updated throughout the process, and her service was truly exceptional. We are so glad and thankful that we chose her as our mortgage advisor.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from William H Brown in Huddersfield, and I feel other buyers need to be aware before trusting them with such an important purchase. They completely failed to attend a confirmed property viewing, leaving my wife, baby, and me waiting in the evening with no communication and no explanation. No call. No message. No apology. For a company that deals with major life decisions like purchasing a home, this level of disorganisation is unacceptable. Throughout the process, communication has been poor and unprofessional. Every time I called, it felt as though I had to guide them through their own responsibilities. Basic coordination and follow-up appeared to be beyond them. What made matters worse was being pushed into booking an in-house mortgage appointment, which gave the clear impression that selling additional services was more important than actually managing viewings properly. It felt transactional rather than customer-focused. I escalated the issue to a manager, who promised to investigate why nobody attended our viewing and assured me she would call back. She never did. Again no accountability and no apology. Buying a home is already stressful. This branch adds unnecessary stress, wastes your time, and shows little regard for customers. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this office.

We originally had spoken to an independent mortgage advisor and intended to use them. We had a viewing on a property and was offered a free mortgage advisor to discuss our options. We met with Anne who was extremely helpful and caring and gave us a lot more information and guidance we needed as first time buyers. After buying my first home, I cannot recommend William H Brown and in particular Louie Baldwin-Wood as a Mortgage Advisor enough. Louie was very good at taking away a large burden of the task at hand and chasing up all parties involved when I had any questions (that probably should've gone elsewhere!) on my behalf. Even with all the information overload that you naturally receive during the process, everything was explained in very straightforward terms with everything made clear, which as a first-time buyer was something I cannot stress the importance of enough. Overall, what could've been a stressful and time consuming process was made to be calm and concise. I don't think it could've been made any easier for myself!

I have now just had my mortgage in principle finalised by the best mortgage advisor Anne. Anne has helped me so much during the most stressful times of buying a house and thinking back to it, it actually was less stress for me all thanks to her! She is trustworthy and fair brining such a good name to William H Brown, I could not have asked for anyone better to have dealt with this. It is my first time buying a property and she’s filled me with everything I needed to know and literally within a month has managed to get a mortgage offer accepted.
