I think that both Charlotte and Leanne are lovely people - very good at supporting and staying positive. Unfortunately I'm not sure what value I received from the sizeable commission I had to pay. They were unable to do all the viewings as agreed, so I did some, and at times there was no communication about important events - eg a viewing being booked without letting me know, and a moving date being agreed with my buyers without my knowledge. Compared to other estate agents I have used they were delightful, but it was hardly rocket science to sell a house in the current housing market

I have this week sold a property through Ryder & Dutton Linthwaite branch. Just a bit of background - a couple of years ago I tried to sell with another local agent. We had two offers, both of which were then withdrawn (weeks later!) because of finance. We reluctantly decided to try again, and I'm so glad we went with Ryder & Dutton. They made sure our buyer this time was ready to move, and had finance in place. I dealt with both Leanne and Charlotte, both wonderful, both went above and beyond for me. They helped make the process so stress free. I would honestly recommend them, please do not be enticed by cheaper agents, it's counter productive, as I found to my cost. All good in the end though. I have recently had the pleasure of working with Charlotte whilst purchasing my first home. She was polite, active and supportive through out, I really could not have asked for a better agent. My solicitor was pretty poor and if it weren't for Charlotte I most definitely would have pulled out and missed out on a lovely home. I'm writing a review for the estate agents Ryder & Dutton and in particular for praising Charlotte MacDonald from Linthwaite's branch. I'm glad the people who we bought from chose Ryder & Dutton, our selling and buying process went ok until our buyer missed the moving and completion date with no warning. Back in June 2021 solicitors seemed to cut corners in view of the council tax holiday deadline, my lesson learnt is to not tolerate a moving date on the same day as the completion one, in that moment when the chain threaten to collapse, Charlotte MacDonald remained calm and communicated clearly between ourselves and the people we were buying from, she did not add any fuel to the fire and listened to our concerns. I felt at the time that if only everyone communicated as well and be as responsive as Charlotte MacDonald then the whole process would have been a smooth experience. From the beginning to successful completion, Charlotte and Leanne of the Linthwaite office were extremely helpful and communicative. I had a viewing booked in Golcar with Leanne Randall a few weeks back and the service and communication was great. The weather was dreadful and the roads were covered in now making the roads quite dangerous up there! Leanne still managed to make it up to the property and made sure he contacted me with regular updates as to whether we'd be able to make it to the property or not. She could very easily have just cancelled the viewing even though I was already en route but she managed to get it done!
