GoogleWe used Martin Thorton to sell our house. We selected as the house we wanted to buy was also being sold by them. Bailey the negotiator kept us informed all the way through the process and was exceptionally calm and professional throughout interfacing with all parties. Really good experience compared to the last time we bought a house would recommend.

Communication is inconsistent and inaccurate. Before moving into my house I was assured the fireplace worked and once I'd moved in I was told it was 'purely aesthetic', though nobody could ever explain why, as it was clearly a real fireplace and had soot from previous use. When I reported various issues, such as a broken blind and damp on the walls, I had to send messages over and over again and mostly I didn't even get responses but when I did, nothing was done. When my shower broke it took two weeks to send someone to do a five minute job fixing a burnt wire. I've been in the house eleven months and still don't have a working blind on the window despite reporting it repeatedly. The person I was told to contact actually left their job at one point and nobody took over their caseload and no out of office was on their inbox so I simply got no replies to my emails for months. It's exhausting and stressful trying to communicate with anyone.

GoogleElisha handled the sale of a bungalow for me recently. After a lengthy period of issues (due to probate) None of which were the fault of the agents, Elisha stuck with it to the end. After achieving well above asking price she stayed in constant contact with all parties & their representatives keeping the sale on board and everyone happy finally bringing the sale to successful completion after about five months hard work. GoogleI have recently sold my property with Martin Thornton Estate Agents and I am 100% satisfied. The communication was great and everything was dealt with so smoothly, from booking a valuation, booking in for photos, getting viewings booked in (my house sold within 1 week) and all the rest until completion. The staff dealt with were always friendly over the phone or face to face when I dropped by the office. I would definitely recommend anyone to use them in future.
