I was with Wardbright for the entire time I was at University and I never had a problem with them. My landlord was really professional, he responded to emails quickly and tried his best to get the issue sorted as soon as possible. Every single time I had an issue with the property, it was sorted within the week. Most of the time it was sorted within 24 hours of me sending the initial email. I've graduated uni now and have had to move back home for a little while, but I will honestly be looking at their properties again when I'm in a position to rent privately. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

James is very responsive and always happy to help. The accommodation was great and whenever we had issues he dealt with them within two day. I would highly recommend.

I have rented with Wardbright for two years and couldn't be more happy with my experience. Both houses were furnished really great and when arriving into both places they were spotlessly clean and decorated lovely. The staff at wardbright are really lovely and will always go out of their way to help you with whatever that may be. If i have had any maintenance issue at all its been fixed/arranged the same or next day (if messaged after working hours). I've always had plenty of prior notice for viewings and any work that's needed to be done (all for my own benefit). If i was continuing to stay in Hull i wouldnt hesitate for a second to live with Wardbright, i absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for great prices and great staff to help you out!!

DO NOT rent any properties with wardbright! We use to live here and the only reason we moved was because from the day we moved in we had problems with them, they act as both the agency and landlord, they treated us horrendously, the property was full of damp and mould which they didnt sort out, things were frequently breaking and not being repaired for months and when they do repairs they use the cheapest of materials and dont fix the problem only cover it up! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Were not bad people and we wouldn't lie, we seriously dont want anyone having the misfortune of renting off them!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

without a shadow of doubt, this company and the people that work there are heartless and without a soul, they do not care or help you in any sort of way, as long as they get their money they do not care, i had an a close family friend that had passed away from Covid and i had lost my job and was unsure of where my next paycheck was going to come and i made them aware of this thinking they could be helpful, but in the email they replied back with 'we have bills to pay too'. you be the judge of that and if you want to rent a place from them.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Although not great from the beginning, my issues with Wardbright started when I moved out of one of their properties. A dispute arose over repairs that needed carrying out; Wardbright attempted to get me to redecorate almost the entire property, and it was only when I requested photos of the property prior to my tenancy did I realise that I had not caused some of the damage they were claiming I had. When called out on this, Wardbright simply did not respond. After spending a considerable amount of time and effort redecorating and deep cleaning the property, including the kitchen, I was horrified to find that workmen had been sent in to tear out the kitchen without my knowledge. I was still in possession of the keys and was still a legal tenant, so this was a clear breach of the tenancy agreement. When questioned, Wardbright claimed that the workmen had not been hired by themselves, and had instead been hired by the landlord. In subsequent correspondence, Wardbright admitted that they are in fact the landlord, and legal owners of the property. Due to the inconvenience, I decided to request a rent refund for the weeks that the property was rendered uninhabitable. Wardbright agreed to a six day refund, which they sent by cheque through the post. Apparently nobody at Wardbright owns a calculator, as the amount I received was not equivalent to six days rent. Again I complained, deciding to pursue reparations for the original amount. Wardbright have refused, and so the saga continues... The staff are friendly enough so long as you don't mind being lied to repeatedly, and if you do decide to rent with Wardbright, maybe you'll have a nice new fitted kitchen.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

Been with Wardbright for nearly a year (student accommodation with a friend) had no problems with them made everything clear and has been no messing about. They got things fixed fairly quickly and also put on a new back door. Did have a slug issue early on (downstairs needs renovating fully to stop this forever) but it's partly with how old the houses are therefore the full downstairs needs to be sealed at every corner since they will come under skirting boards. Can't complain about much else as knew what we was getting into

At first glance, the company seem to be amazing, fantastic customer service and can't seem to do enough to help you out. 3 years down the line and almost 2 years fighting with them over a fairly severe damp and black mould issue (as well as multiple other issues in this time scale), I find myself in a very different mind set. They (Wardbright) boast a borderline useless repairs service for their properties, who not only barely show up to carry out any works, but on the rare occasion that they do, also offer terrible advice that they (Wardbright) will later on try and charge you as liable for. Subject to these failures that you will consistently experience, you will find that anyone that you speak to will constantly try to pass the blame, quite clearly displaying an overall lack of accountability as a company on the whole. If substandard living conditions, contracts that don't seem to be worth the paper they're printed on, and false promises are what you are looking for, then look no further.

I've been renting since 2020 and they are by far the best landlords I've rented with. Efficient with repairs. Always courteous and approachable.

Awful experience. Told me over the phone they would accept working guarantor for a property, took time out of work for the viewing to get a phone call and told that it was a mistake and they need a home owner. I asked them this when booking the viewing as I stated I didnt have a home owner. False information and non of them have a clue about what they're saying. Not very professional either.

Moved into a flat over 2 years ago that was let out by wardbright and it was easy and pain free. Helped by the fact I didn't need a deposit or to pay upfront! The flat was clean tidy and up to a decent spec! Every problem I've had I.E window hinges dropping and boiler faults they acted swiftly and sorted the problem! Always a pleasure to deal with in the office below he flat! Would recommend for first time renters!

Been with Wardbright for a year now and genuinely had no issues. Everytime I have needed a repair or had an issue I've had a next day response and a repair guy out within a couple of days. Don't let the negative reviews put you off, as far as letting companies in Hull go they are by far the best I have ever dealt with!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
