Joe and his team have been brilliant from the start. We started the process over a year ago and have had many complications with building problems etc. Joe was tirelessly patient with us, supportive and helpful. He kept in touch periodically and once we were ready to go he leapt into action and found us what we hope will be excellent tenants. I cannot fault Manns for lettings, I would highly recommend anyone to use them for a stress free Let.

I've just rented a house through Mann Letting Agents and had a wonderful experience. I dealt with the Margate branch where Joe Tite initially guided me through the whole process and was so approachable, welcoming, professional and knowledgable. He made is seamless. When picking up the keys both Joe and Bradley Linton were so helpful and reassuring, providing every last detail I needed. I was given a lovely goodie box too, which was unexpected and a great thought. I would whole heartedly recommend Mann Letting Agents to anyone who is thinking about renting.

Absolutely disgraceful agents. My advice, take pictures, keep an audit trail of all your dealing with them and monitor anything they do. They do not provide clean and safe living spaces so insist on making sure they meet the minimum standard before you move in. I let a property from them which was left in such a state that I even found a needle used for recreational drugs from the last tenant, found patches of damp, cigarette butts and an empty alcohol bottle above the extractor fan amongst many things. I viewed the property whilst somebody was living there and expected the minimum a well established chain estate agents would do is clean the flat before I moved in, as they had told me they would do multiple times. I repeatedly asked for it to be cleaned and fix things which were plain dangerous (replace a dangerous socket left exposed or fix the shower which was set on the highest setting so I couldn’t shower which being a key worker is vital for me and those I interact with). They would not clean it up so I had to do my best to clean up behind the last tenant and other items were left broken. Upon moving out, they had the audacity to charge me whereas they did not clean it when given to me or make the necessary checks, even safety ones. They take days to fix urgent issues (like fixing my plumbing and when ‘fixing’ leaving me a shower with poo coming out of the drain!’) Furthermore, the agents have been incredibly rude not taking any responsibility for the work and care they are contractually obliged to provide tenants. If I had more time and stamina to continue dealing with these agents, I would take this up further. However, they are rude and stressful that I would rather move on and provide the feedback as a cautionary tale to others who deal with these agents.

Didn’t turn up for the viewing! Left standing outside with broken leg.

Absolutely unacceptable, my poor mother travelled all the way in an uber with a broken foot, to get a call last minute saying oh sorry I was unaware I had a viewing I’ll be there in 10 mins, my mum stood outside the property to get a call later saying they can’t make it so she was waiting outside with a broken foot and wasted her money on Ubers there and back. Rubbish estate agency.. the cheek to make excuses saying they are very busy, we are all busy! It’s your job!

Honestly I don´t know where to start

Honestly I don´t know where to start. But after speaking to their Regional manager it all makes sense. First thing they wanted was to get us to speak to their specialist panel of mortgage brokes that can get more deals etc. In contrast to the last estate agents we bought from they wanted a fee up front etc. They were also keen to market our house for us and I asked multiple times to send me a some information oin their fees etc which was avoided 3 or 4 times. We have seen house that has been on the market for overa year, I spoke to the vendors son while at the viewing and he explained they weren´t in a rush and wouldnt need us to have a an offer on our house to accept an offer. I asked him and he said no he was happy because they arent in a rush. We were loking to put anb offer in when a reginal manager i have never spoken to calls up again trying to market our house, I told him I didnt get a good feeling from them and chose another estate agent we had a better experience withg and he went on to bash them for not being able to get photos for 2 weeks. I said the marketing on the other company and the treatment is much better and I was going to use them anyway and he proceeded to send a whstsap message. I get my name is difficult but I am dyslexic and a sales person and I make sure I spell people name correnctly so I mentioned like I said before about trust and I will post the transcript below of teh cinversation.. You make up your minds if you would trust this person running a bussiness.

The renting Market in Thanet is tough. So many outsiders see Margate as the place to be; so finding a place to perch is not easy! Also there are some real sharks out there. Estate Agents only too happy to pocket your deposit; and let you slip between Pillar and Post. Mann Letting agents are fair and polite. In a tough World; they keep their tempers and do their best. They do their best to make sure even younger Landlords - blessed with the Business Ambition of the latest Apprentice Star - do get that necessary work done. Yes, you may have to write the odd letter... but being one of their tenants means they are on your side. They will make sure your Landlord gets necessary work done. My experience, (I am long in the tooth and have rented across London and Paris as well as Ramsgate),as a long standing Tenant of Mann Letting Agents; has taught me that if you are patient and polite and a good tenant they will be supportive and helpful. The Office will be supportive when you contact them. They also do their best to maintain good standards without being draconian; when tenants face difficulties as we all do at times.

Horrible estate agent. Took money for referencing from more than 2 people to the value of £403. keeping your deosit because you failed reference. when confronted a lady at the Dartford branch called Holly, she denied referencing 2 people at a time. I accused her that this looks like a scam, why reference 2 people and then keep the money of the second person. I asked if they belong to an ombudsman or PRS, they voicemail my call since then. I can not get to speak with them on my mobile number. I had to use someone's number and they cut the phone off all the time. Ridiculous and they are nothing but a scam in Dartford branch. Shame on you Holly
