Understanding staff are vital when making such a big decision

it took me a long time to decide to buy with Countryside at Brookfield Vale in Blackburn. The sales person Tara was patience itself, always ready to listen and explain procedures and putting me completely at ease. She helped me choose the right house for my needs and I am very grateful for her help.

Not happy

Cannot say we are happy with the work that countryside puts out. Firstly there is shoddy work where our one toilet was not put on central to the wall, the basin stand was also put on at an angle and not straight. Carpets were dirty, towel rail is missing, snags here and there that we have reported over 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting for an appointment date no mind it being attended to! We are privately renting so countryside seems to think the private renters are future customers but all I can say from this experience and their shoddy work is we will be looking elsewhere to buy. Not to mention our guest loo radiator has been connected incorrectly to the upstairs thermostat so this needs correcting by going into our ceiling whilst we live here because someone that does this everyday couldn’t do their job properly and no one commissioned this properly. Shoddy work all round with countryside and they cannot take accountability.

Avoid at all costs!!!

We purchased a property which was formerly Millgate and then taken over and completed by Countryside and I wish we could have avoided this disaster of a development.We were all pushed to complete on our properties exceptionally quickly and on the day of completion we were offered a Waitrose Meal Deal which was on a property over £1M in value. We are now 8 months into living here and the entire building is back up in scaffolding with extensive snagging lists in every single apartment. Our basement garage needs us all to vacate and be repainted (paint is peeling), pipes are leaking and water is not draining.Customer Service never answer the phone and we have to fight for every snag to be fixed within a reasonable timeframe. When buying the property the staff made comments that I couldn’t afford the apartment and that I didn’t want to be “stretching myself thin” every month. I’ve had my kitchen repainted 3 times and still not done properly as they bring in cheap contractors to fix issues which keep snagging items on the list for ages.Everything is fixed by a “magic man” so they don’t have to replace chipped wood or tiles.Please avoid purchasing a property from Countryside - I am emailing them daily to try and fix problems on site and it is not getting any better.

They put us at ease straight away and kept us updated on a regular basis. Joanna has been sending me photos of the house as it progressed. My dream purchase before my milestone

After the first purchase of countryside properties and the journey I have been through, I decided to purchase a second home within the same month as completion on my first one. The journey was difficult due to certain circumstances and without the help of the sales consultant Bethany Parker I wouldn’t be where I am today! From day one this lady has jumped through hoops for me and nothing is too much of an ask! I couldn’t thank Bethany enough! Both journeys have been absolutely outstanding and I highly recommend purchasing from them. A Good Developer

This is one of the top list developers. Their signature design of sky windows is my favorite which drives me to buy my first house in UK from them. Their sales team Lisa Wilkinson and Nicola Stout have offered me a very pleasant buying experience from Countryside. They are professional and very detailed. I can get very good support from them after I have moved in. The quality of the completed house is good. Not many minor defects are discovered by the snagging company, let alone major one. Their site manager Chris and his team especially Keith did follow up all the defects in a very speedy and detailed way. Overall I have no regret to buy my first house in UK from Countryside. The only issue is that their finance team has chosen to tell the fund not arrived so as to get off from works on time instead of processsing the completion of my plot even thoough my solicitor has double confirmed that the fund should have arrived. That made me frustrated for I have wasted the weekend and it adversely affect my moving-in plan.

We bought our beautiful home from Tara Harrison at brookfield vale . She was so warm and welcoming and put us at ease straight away and always kept us informed as to what stages our house was at .Nothing was a problem for Tara , we could ring her or email and she was always there to answer any questions we had . Our house was completed on time and so far we have only found 3 minor snags . All the lads on site have been brilliant and welcoming . I would also like to give a special mention to Billie Cannon who was so good to us in getting this over the line . Billie you're an absolute star. I really cant recommend countryside enough . We love our home and if we ever did move it would only be to another countryside home . Would also like to thank Laura Pilkington for looking after us on our home demo and our completion . Untrustworthy company!

Untrustworthy company!Their referral program is pretty ridiculous. You will never get your money back, I referred 2 households but only received referral money from 1 household, all contacts disappeared. From SALES, to CS at the head office, all just to think about your property purchase and those NHBC results. There is also your upgrade items. They did less my floor upgrade but get the money. Then they want to refund the money. The person in charge always disappears. It took me half a year to recover my floor fee. Now, they still owe me more than a thousand pounds. How can such a company with no reputation build a high-quality building?

Rubbish company!!

Rubbish company!!! My husband and I received disgusting treatment, to say the least. We experienced a malfunctioning smoke sensor in our home which started blaring very late at night. We weren't at home when we returned (more than midnight) it was already ringing. There was no way to make it stop. No one (fire brigade and emergency numbers) could help us so we had to call a night shift emergency electrician who robbed us of £752 and Countryside wouldn't hear any reason to help us recover our money, not caring if everything was caused by a malfunction of the system (we weren't at home and there was no trace of smoke!!!). They told us it was none of their business and they wouldn't pay us a penny! What disgusting people, careless, and without respect. You deserve failure together with Home Group Company.
