GoogleCharles Bainbridge have been excellent estate agents. My friend and I have recently moved into a rented maisonette and the communication from the team - especially Max - has been brilliant. The team are on hand to help and offer advice. Would certainly recommend to others.

GoogleI've been really impressed with Charles Bainbridge Estate Agents with the entire process of a property sale for me. Excellent communication, honest advice (no empty promises like other agents!!!) and efficient work. I can highly recommend from my experience and will continue to do so. GoogleWe instructed Bainbridge initially to manage our property when it was being rented. All of the staff that we dealt with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They all provided a high standard of property management, promptly informing us of any issues, liaising with utility companies to ensure essential services were restored expeditiously and never shied away from having difficult discussions with our tenants. During the sale of the property we were regularly updated on the outcome of viewings, providing feedback from potential buyers of their observations etc. Once an offer was accepted, they were proactive in hastening the estate agents of those in the ‘chain’ ensuring that mandatory documentation was completed efficiently and quickly. I would strongly recommend Charles Bainbridge.

GoogleWe've had to deal with multiple estate agents in the past so we were dreading this experience, but Charles Bainbridge were truly excellent. They kept us well informed (we frequently got news from them days before our solicitors told us), they always replied promptly to our emails and they were incredibly helpful, professional and friendly throughout the whole process. Izzy, Charlie and the rest of the team were fantastic, and we would highly recommend Charles Bainbridge.

GoogleI have viewed one property and been waiting 3 days to get their reply as I told at the very first that I need asap. I have emailed them and even ring them one of their agent asked me to wait for couple of minutes to ring me back but no one has called..no reply for email as well. Bad customer service ever

Dear Neha I was sorry to read your review, we understand that not being able to secure a property of your choice is both disappointing and frustrating, particularly when you are under some time pressure to do so. Having thoroughly looked into the course of events I understand your situation to have been as follows: You submitted an application to rent a property with us on the Tuesday evening, your information and application, along with other applications, was collated and forwarded to our landlords for their consideration the following day (Wednesday). After having spoken to you on Wednesday we updated you by email with the ongoing position on Thursday. We’re sorry that we’re unable to give more instant decisions in these circumstances but our landlord clients are of course interested in fully considering all the applications submitted before making the commitment to a particular party and we can’t completely govern the speed of their decision-making process. We were not actually in receipt of the landlords’ decision until the Friday (after you’d posted your review). We’re sorry that the application was not successful for you this time. We have since chatted things through on the phone and, as discussed, we’ll of course keep you updated with alternative properties as they become available. With best wishes. Zoë

GoogleCharles Bainbridge is a small estate agent in Canterbury, not part of any large chains. We came in contact with them buying a property, which was on their site. From day one, despite not even being their ‘client’ strictly speaking, we have received the most excellent service from the entire team, very much including Izzy and Andrea! We could not ask anything, they did not oblige to sort for us without delay, helping us with viewing, negotiating, access to the property whenever we asked for it, before buying it, advising and monitoring the procedure, and even surprising us with a very nice bottle of champagne, when they handed over our key for the new house! The team has got such an efficient, well organized and experienced way of sorting every single issue which occurs in the complex procedure of selling/buying a property, we can only raise our hats experiencing it all along. No doubt, a small local firm has got tremendous advantages in communicating within the team, lead wonderfully by Charles Brainbridge, proving this case. I would never hesitate choosing this estate agent for buying or selling any properties in Canterbury and the surrounding area! Very warmly recommend them!!

GoogleExcellent service from start to finish. Charles and team are unfailingly friendly, helpful and professional, and supported us every step of the way through the buying process. We were constantly kept updated as to developments and every query was greeted with patience and courtesy, and responded to promptly and efficiently. We would not hesitate to recommend Charles Bainbridge and are very grateful to everyone there for making our house-buying experience so positive.

GoogleFailed to turn up for a valuation, with no phone call or apology. Obviously don't need the business. I wish them well in the post brexit economy. UPDATE following response from owner: Thank you for your detailed response which was most welcome. We do appreciate that errors can occur from time to time, and can clearly see that you take customer service seriously. Unfortunately, my wife is unable to take calls during the week, except for emergencies, and rarely has chance to respond to email. With two small children, our free time is very limited - so yes, it was unfortunate that the appointment was missed, but do accept the situation and your explanation. A first-world problem I'm sure.

Dear Mr Hambley Thank you for your comments. We wholly recognise this position which must have been incredibly frustrating for you. As yet I’ve not been able to make direct contact with you via phone or email to provide a detailed explanation but am keen to do so. In brief the appointment error occurred due to a software failure and steps have since been taken with our providers to eliminate the possibility of repetition. Such an occurrence does expose the potential vulnerability of digital dairies and web-based software platforms. The systems we use are technologically advanced but they are also well-proven and such and an incidence is incredibly rare, indeed it’s the first time we have experienced it in approaching five years of trading. Ironically had the appointment been entered in a traditional manual diary no issue would have ensued. We very much regret your experience on Saturday. We strive for excellence however of course sometimes things don’t go entirely to plan and in this instance that has resulted in your being let down. GoogleI recently sold and bought through Charles Bainbridge Ltd. The whole team were great throughout the process of purchase and sale. Paul and Charlie helped to navigate some sticky situations with the vendor we were buying from, putting them at ease and keeping things on track. Charlie in particular is great to work with because he has a kind of no nonsense approach - I call him the estate agent for people who don't like estate agents. No sales pitch, just useful information and guidance. I would certainly recommend Charles Bainbridge Ltd to anyone selling in the Canterbury area.
