James Gow was always reassuring and I felt confident that he would succeed.Well supported by James Lea-Boulton I had numerous viewings and achieved an acceptable price. I always felt I was getting good advice and they went beyond their mandate in helping to smooth over the process of moving out. Amongst many experiences of estate agents over the years, they were the best - honourable and always thinking of my interests. A pleasure to do business with.

This relates to the rentals service in Cambridge. We rented a house from Strutt & Parker for more than three years. They were never quick to deal with repairs and other issues, however we had a direct relationship with the owner which made life easier. When we moved out at the end of June 2024, we got the full benefit of Strutt & Parker's contempt for tenants, stunning slowness and incompetence. It took them nearly four months -- until 28 October 2024 -- to return the deposit. There was a litany of lame excuses about the time needed for estimates for some minor repairs. The reality was that it just wasn't a priority, they didn't care and they couldn't even work out which photographs attached to the contract corresponded to which actual rooms. If you rent property in Cambridge, beware this lot. Or at least be ready to suffer.

They are a small team with a lot of experience in the area and a very personable approach, which is not easy to find in London. Greg was our agent during the very beginning of a process which took a couple of years and we highly recommend him as well as Rosie, they both helped us handling the final negotiation and finding a deal that worked for both parts.
