I just wanted to record my thanks and appreciation to Monika and Alessandro and others who have come and gone over the years for all the professionalism and kindness they have shown me, first in arranging the purchase, and then as a landlord in absentia managing the letting of my 2 flats. GoogleThis agency gave us catastrophically poor service and demonstrated lack of coordination, expertise or care. For example during the viewing one of the agents just strolled into our house without ringing the doorbell, or knocking. When I confronted her she responded she only was asked to show the property and didn’t know anyone would be in (which in her mind shockingly granted her the right to use they keys without knocking or ringing). The fact that makes it even worse we didn’t realise they held keys to our property. Another shocking incident was when one of the potential tenants turned up without a mask in August 2020 and the letting agent declared that because the visitor doesn’t have symptoms that makes it fine for him to be without a face covering while her and me should keep our masks on. I ended up giving him my own mask. Now that I am writing this I really think I should have turned this viewing down, as disrespect I felt at that moment and lack of professionalism and care on behalf of the agency was just outrageous. Finally when moving out I specifically called the leading agent and asked whether the tenants would be interested in purchasing any of our furniture just as we did when we moved in (given the flat came unfurnished) to which the agent replied straight immediately without checking with the tenants she was certain these tenants wouldn’t want any of our furniture. All this was said only to get a call from the same agent the following week asking whether we would be interested to sell that same furniture to the new tenants. I am furious, it is astonishing to think estate agents can be this bad.

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative. Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

They achieved a really great result having found several suitable prospective buyers and multiple offers, and all quicker than I expected. As a tenant by Vanet Asset Property Management (part of the John D Wood & Co Group), my comments for them are: just terrible!Such a bad treatment from one single agency. Staff turnover is extremely high, different agent each month. No issue log whatsoever, so you need to call them daily to make sure whoever picks up your case, will have the details. So many incidents where we thought our issue was progressing and being resolved, while in reality it wasn't!Forgetting/ignoring tasks, not even when it comes to deposit.Interesting to see what kind of training their agents go through? Do they know how to keep log of issues?Sorry but this is unacceptable treatment.

Sardar swiftly arranged a viewing for me and he and Camilla were fantastic pushing things through so I could have a move in date within a week. As a tenant who has had John D Wood as my lettings management for the last 6 years I can say that they are absolutely awful. They don't reply to emails, don't take responsibility, don't put out of office emails on so you can't get anything urgent done. I would never use them.

GoogleIf you are a landlord looking for an outstanding letting agent, go to Ivanka, lettings manager at JDW South Kensington, backed up by a small team of competent professionals. !! Ivanka knows the market inside-out, has rental property law at her fingertips and her absolute integrity makes her somewhat special. If JDW have a tenant applicant who might not be ideal, she will caution you. If you have a problematic tenant, she will do all it takes to sort matters fairly - being very straight forward with both parties. This kind of honesty obviously generates trust for the long term and Ivanka will always be my No 1 letting agent to go to.
