DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

I would like to say special thank you to Craig Jackson for John D. Wood property agency! I moved to London and tried to find a flat during a month. I was absolutely frustrated with the searching process at the moment I've met Craig. At that moment the challenge was not only to find it, but to move in within one week. Sounded unreal.. Thanks to Craig, it happened, even taking into account all the procedures you should complete to get your keys! I always have high expectations in terms of service level and he definitely got all 10 for all stages of the process!! He was ready to solve my questions even before 9am and after 6pm, which is great benefit when you are working hard. If you are limited with time and the only criteria is to find YOURS cosy flat, you should definitely contact Craig!

I just moved back to London and used John D. Wood to find the new flat I am letting in Earls Court. The whole process was professionally handled and stress free. Craig Jackson was absolutely fantastic and if you are looking for a place in Earls Court / Chelsea / South Ken I would highly recommend working with him. He showed us a number of flats and really listened to our feedback so when sending us more options, they fit what we liked. When we found a place we liked, the process to getting to signing the tenancy agreement and us moving in was run very well. Thank you Craig and John D Wood for all your help.

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

I used this agency in my recent move to London from the United States. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Harriet was very helpful and one of the nicest people I have met in London. I wandered in nearly at my wits end and worried that I would not be able to find a place at all. Harriet had properties for me to look at right away. We moved to London from the US, knowing where we wanted to live in London but not much more. We engaged a relocation agency to help us but their process and speed was not really working for us. I found a listing online that was represented by John D Wood and was contacted by Anne Battumur to schedule a viewing. When I met at the property in question with Anne, from the start she was very professional, courteous and engaging. The property ended up not quite being the right fit for us but Anne had proactively already prepared a few other ones, based on the short conversation we had prior to the viewing, that were similar in style and close by and so we went to view those as well. All of them were very well aligned with what we sought, Anne clearly had listened and understood what our core wants were. One of the listings she had found was the perfect match for our wants and needs, and even though it was represented by another firm, Anne setup everything for us with that firm and agent and helped us secure the property at a great price. She also educated us on all the steps, nuances and details of the UK rental market and made the whole experience so easy and stress free for us. It was truly good fortune that led us to Anne, I don't think our home search as expats could have been made any better than what Anne delivered. If you're in the market for a home in the Chelsea area I highly recommend to contact Anne Battumur at John D Wood & Co. You will be in great hands and well taken care of. Whenever we will next be in need of help we will certainly return to her.

We put the flat in Coleherne Rd on with JDW Earls Court in Jan 2021. They generated a great number of viewings with good feedback throughout. They were helpful with pricing in a difficult market (Covid etc.). We and they were up against the stamp duty holiday deadline at end July and just managed to get the sale through in time. It went very smoothly as far as we were concerned! We were very well looked after by Simon, Charlene, Grace and Dominika. Many thanks for a job well done.

Avoid at any cost

If I could give zero I will! Awful experience starting from when they gave me the keys and then literally disappeared! Then the inventory was totally different from what I found in the house and when I contacted them they said contact the landlord we can’t do anything! Glad that the landlord was cooperative. Now after leaving the house it took them 10 days to send me the inventory checkout and I called them everyday and they gave a different story every day! Now I have been chasing the deposit for 1 month! Literally awful experience, avoid at any cost.

RUN AWAY FROM THEM!I have lived in many flats in London and never have I experienced such a terrible process. First of all, we wrote down a formal offer with 1 only requirement. After our offer was accepted and we payed one week worth of rent to secure the place, they tell us that specific requirement cannot be met. They took almost 3 weeks to make the landlord sign our contract, and it was voided TWICE so we had to re-sign the contract 3 times in total as they kept adding clauses to it. During the move in, we realise the flat had not been cleaned (and the contract stated everything had to be professionally cleaned, even curtains and sofas.....) but the flat was in an appalling state really. We asked for it to be cleaned again and we are still waiting..... Not to say that we are still waiting for the landlord to pay the inventory. The people in this agency are very rude and will treat you bad. One advice, never use this agency!!!

Worst treatment

As a tenant by Vanet Asset Property Management (part of the John D Wood & Co Group), my comments for them are: just terrible!Such a bad treatment from one single agency. Staff turnover is extremely high, different agent each month. No issue log whatsoever, so you need to call them daily to make sure whoever picks up your case, will have the details. So many incidents where we thought our issue was progressing and being resolved, while in reality it wasn't!Forgetting/ignoring tasks, not even when it comes to deposit.Interesting to see what kind of training their agents go through? Do they know how to keep log of issues?Sorry but this is unacceptable treatment.
