The Battersea Team were brilliant to deal with in the sale of our property. Fred in particular was fantastic to deal with throughout the sale process. As we were immigrating to New Zealand during the sale process and had departed the UK after accepting an offer but before exchange of contracts, Fred was exceptional with providing feedback and assisting us when opposite time zones were a challenge. I would have no hesitation recommending John D Wood to other sellers in Battersea and a big thanks to Fred for all his help!

During this difficult selling time they did everything they could to make the process work as smoothly as possible. They marketed the property quickly and accurately, managed the viewing without a single problem and sold the property. Having had my flat on the market for 9 or 10 months without success, I changed my agent to John D Wood and within a week Simon Hardie had found a buyer. The sale proved long and drawn out with endless questions and back and forth between solicitors. Simon was truly brilliant at guiding both the buyer and myself along the long road to completion day. He understood all the problems, had endless patience and was very attentive. Always returning calls and messages promptly, being constantly reassuring and positive when I sometimes felt very frustrated with the sale’s progress. Simon is exactly the person you hope for when you put your property on the market with an estate agent.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

I have been a landlord with JDW for over a decade now. The service I have received has almost always been great, and they have always provided excellent tenants for my property in Earls Court. Even by those standards, working with Jenna and Ellie in the lettings team recently has been on a different level. My face to face dealings have been mainly with Jenna - she's an absolute natural with a can do attitude, providing a friendly and professional service. Deposit nightmare solved

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

A great letting agency as long as your property manager is not Hugo Reeve. He is unresponsive, unreliable, and does not seem fit for his role. it took him 3 months to sort out a crucial repair that had to be done in our flat. It also took from September 2023 to June 2024 for him to find someone to get a bathroom hook replaced. Just one hook that took maybe 10 minutes to be installed. The property manager before him, Fay, was able to sort out issues within a day or two, she was amazing. Unfortunatley she moved to a different office. Our lease ended nearly two months ago and he has still not been able to send us our deposit back. It is extrememly unprofessional for a letting agency to hire someone with such a lack of skill and understanding, I hope that anyone that has him as their property manager is either a handyman or a lawyer as you will need both.
