TrustpilotZero communication, zero strategy, zero guidance
We listed our house for sale with Poole Townsend in September 2025. Had a bad feeling from the start when we were unhappy with the majority of their photographs and ended up using some of our own. Staff we met were awkward and not forthcoming with guidance or support. During the 5 months we were with them we had no communication from them except the few times they called to request a viewing. I complained to the manager that we were unhappy and felt that they were not doing anything to promote or sell our property other than sticking it on Rightmove. He promised he would do a full review of the listing, look at changing the photos and giving it a general boost and ensure the staff gave us regular updates . Four weeks later none of this has materialised. Today I emailed to tell him we were withdrawing our property to use a different agent in light of the aforementioned. He gave zero accountability for failing to do what he said he would and seemed to suggest it was just the market. To be honest I'm glad we didn't sell with them as it would have been galling to say the least to have had to pay them commission for the absolute bare minimum that they have done. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

GoogleCally and the team have been fantastic at keeping us informed each step of the way during our house sale. We have instructed Poole Townsend as our conveyancing solicitors which has made our process so much easier. The photos and brochure were produced quickly and feedback has been given after each viewing, resulting in a speedy sale of our property. Many thanks to all the team for such professional and speedy service.

GoogleI have sold and bought several homes with Poole Townsend over the years. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They kept me fully updated, followed up viewings and kept the process moving forward. The legal team are wonderful & have a simple online service to hold all the legal documents in one place. The photography and viewing hosts were amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Incredible team and excellent value for money. I wouldn't use anyone else. Thanks to Cally, Liz, Craig, Jill, Daniel and all the team at PT Kendal.

If I could give a zero star review I would. Initially I was impressed by the sales approach but learned over time that the bluster of the selling approach did not manifest into a successful sale. The communications was lacking throughout, the advice terrible and no strategy to sell your property. With such as long tie in period your hands are tied until the 5 month period has passed. I would not recommend PT as a selling agent. Seller beware.

GoogleAndrew Sanderson at Poole Townsend in Kendal is superbly efficient and great at quickly finding good tenants. He does all the admin side do you feel the process is simple ! Which it isn’t ! I thoroughly recommend you use him for finding and managing rental properties. I’ve use him several times and he does a great job.

Used Poole Townsend recently to sell a bungalow and the legal team for the selling and buying of another property. From the initial valuation visit I have found the team to be professional helpful and friendly. The presentation and the photography were first class. I was kept informed at each stage and completion arranged on designated date. Excellent service all round and I would definately recommend.

GooglePoor Townsend have had great communication in the lead up to making the decision to put our house on the market. They kindly kept in contact until we decided we were ready to proceed and then once that decision had been made they were very fast to take the photos and market the house. While the house was on the market they communicated daily to provide details of viewings that had been confirmed and following on to viewings taking place Poole Townsend promptly provided the viewers feedback. We found. Them to be friendly and efficient. We are now at the point of sold STC.

GooglePoole Townsend are probably the best estate agents to use in my experience so far as regards buying and selling. I've really appreciated the work that the staff put in to sell my property, the girls are very polite, friendly and professional. They do get the job done quickly and efficiently! A big thank you to Mia, Cally and Vicky for all their help and anybody else who was involved in my sale. I will definitely use Poole Townsend again.

All at the Kendal Branch were so helpful and there for the many many questions I had whilst selling my property. FacebookThis company has a cheek to call them sales solicitors I have had them handling the divorce case for me. I am totally disabled with arthritis and partially sighted. It’s got two accounts now where they sent a letter to my wife at the wrong address she hadn’t lived at that address for about 12 years it’s got two accounts now where they won’t even speak to me they ask me why I am on the telephone and they’re never in. I don’t know how they’ve got the liberty to call themselves solicitors. They are absolutely useless.

GoogleThis is the third property which they've sold for us in the as many years. Each property was sold subject to contract within the first few weeks. The team are Knowledgeable and friendly who answer any queries in a timely manor. They gave us very good and detailed feed back re-all of the viewings and kept us well informed throughout the sale process.
