I had an excellent experience with Chesterton Islington, namely Simon! I was abroad looking for rentals, and he was INCREDIBLY helpful, communicative, thorough, thoughtful and transparent. He very much looked after my search, checked in regularly, made sure I was made incredibly aware of all nuances of UK housing (I'm coming from the states), and vetted property on my behalf, making sure that the time we spent viewing was actually well spent. He was available at all times to answer my questions and put me at ease in the rental process. I will be using them for my next search, and recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle-free experience (I'd go as far to say completely enjoyable!)

Do not use Chestertons Islington

We lived in a nice flat in Islington but unfortunately Chestertons soured the experience for us. I will not use Chestertons again anywhere and I strongly urge others to choose other agents.Issues:-Unable to respond in a timely manner regarding a water leak through a light fitting. It was pure luck there was only water damage. This happened multiple times. I felt sorry for the Landlord whose lovely property it was.-A boiler breakdown occured and the engineer also managed to cut the electricity and setoff the very loud house alarm for some time. No engineer is perfect but the problem was Chestertons failed to take action and get it fixed that led to us quite rightly laying blame with them and feeling unsafe and cold (we have a baby) for some days after. Great resistence from Chestertons to get it fixed.-Not accepting a mutually agreeable checkout date.-Highly variable customer service from staff including some that was significantly below market standardTerrible Chestertons

We looked at several different agents and decided to go with Chestertons they had sold a property only a few doors away from our so we though we would give it a try. Scott and Ollie we tremendous from the start of the process . We had constant updates via text and phone calls . Even when things didn't go our way due to a failed mortgage buyer they were able to restart the whole process and find a buyer who exchanged very quickly and completed even quicker. I would highly recommend this team .

Scott and Guy at Chesterton's were fantastic throughout the sale process of our flat. Chesterton's stood out over and above the other big name brands we interviewed. They offered fantastic counsel throughout the process and were far more effective and professional than the local agency in Stoke Newington that we also tasked with selling the flat, arranging much better quality viewings and remaining in constant communication throughout. They were also great throughout the exchange process . They often say you get what you pay for and while a bit more expensive, we can honestly say it was money well spent. Highly recommended.

Great experience letting a property through Chestertons

Had a great experience with Gary and the Chestertons SW Lettings team in Battersea renting out a flat through them recently. Responsive and professional throughout and ultimately able to secure tenants at the rate estimated when I first started speaking with them. The team were able to quickly and efficiently bring together a number of potential tenants Also helpful with making sure all the relevant documentation etc was in place on all sides.
