My experience with Chestertons has only been saved by Kacey Naish. She has been very responsive, even on Christmas Eve. She has been patient and held my hand through a deposit dispute. She is the only reason I will probably stay a client of theirs.

GoogleWe’ve just sold our flat through Chestertons and I couldn’t rate them higher. Right from the start working with Scott whose approach and authenticity convinced us to list with them, through to working on an ongoing basis with Stuart who advised us through the ups and down (had to extend the lease) and chasing down solicitors. As much as the process of selling can be a stressful experience, working with Chestertons held our hands throughout. Would highly recommend them. Thanks Stuart and team.

Chestertons - "You don't even deserve this 1 star"I had terrible experience with this letting agency.Please find below timelines of experience which made our life stressful.Chestertons posted ad for property on 4th Oct.1)Holding deposit was transferred for renting apt. on 6th Oct.2)Referencing started on 7th Oct and was completed by 14th Oct.3)Tenancy agreement was created on 15th Nov.They took 1 month just to create tenancy agreement!!!!4)Tenancy agreement was signed by us on 17th Nov.5)Remaining deposit and 1st month rent was transferred on 18th Nov.6)They made sure that we did not visit apartment twice . We were following up for apartment viewing but they couldn’t give us appointment from 31st Oct till 18th Nov.We received call from Melis on 19th Nov. mentioning that "Even though you have passed referencing checks , we cannot rent this property to you"7)They had our approx 5000£.
Hi Amruta, we are sorry to hear of your complaint. We have reviewed the situation with the relevant team and whilst we understand you were eager to get the contract, there are certain elements and documentation required from both parties before we can complete the contracts.We're aware that you were booked in to view the property twice once you arrived in the country so this request was not ignored, however, on both occasions the current tenant cancelled due to her child being unwell. This was unfortunately out of our control as we cannot enter the property without the current tenant's consent.The current tenants advised towards the very end of their tenancy that they would not be able to vacate as they were unable to find alternative accommodation. Melis contacted you as soon as we got this news and provided evidence when you requested it, to confirm the current tenant's situation. Due to the laws in the UK, we cannot do anything to speed up the vacation process until this has gone through the courts. Melis offered the closest comparable properties that we had on the market at that time to try and assist you as we did not want to leave you without options.Our teams have checked our accounts and we can see your holding deposit was returned to you on the 21st of November and the balance was refunded on the 23rd of November.Whilst we appreciate this has been less than ideal for you and Deepak, the situation is beyond our control.

GoogleWe met with several different agents when deciding who to instruct to sell my late mother's flat and Scott at Chestertons impressed us with his knowledge of Islington and his understanding of the market and the area. At every stage of the sale - in quite difficult circumstances - we were kept up to date. Communication was excellent - I generally prefer to use email rather than telephone and Scott and his colleagues remembered that when getting in touch. When I did meet with Scott or his colleagues in person or speak on the phone he was always professional, polite and supportive. At the end of the transaction, when things can get quite stressful, Scott was clear and firm in making sure that the chain didn't fall apart and in keeping the lines of communication open. We would thoroughly recommend Chestertons Islington and were very happy with the deal Scott managed to secure for us.

Had such a great experience with Chestertons! All the staff so were knowledgable and helpful. Myha Reid, who was the main agent I was speaking with was super friendly and so helpful. I was sent a video tour of the property after the viewing which was great to look back.Also, every time I called the office, they knew the phone number and addressed me by name straight away which I thought was a great touch! By far one of the best agencies I have used.

GoogleEfficient and to the point - in a good way. Have always had a pretty horrible time with estate agents, but Guy Morgan and Scott were great helping me buy my flat. Communicated really well during the offer stage with clear feedback and helped me arrange a sale price quickly, and then Guy pushed everyone to stay on top of things and sorted out a couple of issues down the line. Very direct and efficient, I appreciated a no nonsense approach, especially after the amount of nonsense I'd heard from other agents. Would recommend.

GoogleNever thought I’d be writing a 5 star review for an estate agent, but Chestertons really deserve it. We were silly enough to go for a small agency first thinking it wouldn’t make a difference. After 10 months and zero offers on our flat we switched to Chestertons and got an offer on the first viewing. It took a bit of time to push it through, but Oliver and Scott were really good and we managed to sell the flat. Thank you!

They are efficient and professional, with particular attention to detail and always with a friendly demeanour and a willingness to help at every turn. I dealt with Andrew 'G' and Lauren Mansell mostly and having had over ten years experience in the rental market as a landlady, I can unreservedly recommend these two young professionals for promoting and renting a property in Islington. They have both exceeded my expectations for service by far.

GoogleMe and my husband are buying our home via Chestertons. We have been dealing with Scott and Guy. They are both great agents and helped us a lot during the process. We were in a chain, there had been lots of delays and complications from my buyer, but thanks to Scott and Guy, we avoided loosing our onward purchase! We are moving into our lovely home next week! Through out the process, they have been very helpful and patient. Most importantly, they are very knowledgeable. I only wish that we acted on their advice regarding how terrible my buyer's solicitor is, and we could have avoided delays!

GoogleI had a very positive experience with the Chestertons Islington Branch. My dealings were with Simon and Ashley and both were very professional and a pleasure to "work" with. Being a rather difficult client with very specific ideas of what I was looking for (Location, specifications, design etc) Simon was very patient, polite and understanding. He had a good sense of what properties would suit my family and was not wasting time or pushing me to rent a property that was not ideal. GoogleWe had a great experience with Scott Abrahams and the Team at Chestertons. He was recommended to us through their Property Management team that also did a wonderful job managing our property for 10 years. Scott is professional, yet easy going and personable. Selling our property from overseas can be difficult at best, but Scott guided us with ease. He also helped make sure we had the best team by recommending a real estate solicitor that worked efficiently and effectively. Chesterton's really takes care of their clients. I would work with them again, and I'm referring all my friends and acquaintances.

GoogleWe sold our property through Chestertons Islington and they were truly excellent from beginning to end. I would highly recommend. Scott and his team are dedicated, reliable and gave good advice in difficult circumstances. They sold our property in a tricky market, right from the get go Scott impressed us with his knowledge of the market and his sales know how. Scott and his team kept in regular contact throughout the process and kept a close eye on the chain once an offer has been accepted. If you are selling in Islington, want to get the best price for your property and want an excellent service, don't bother going anywhere other than Chestertons.

As a Landlord we find that more than once they have paid rent owed to us to another persons account. Instead of instantly just paying us the outstanding money owed to us, they tell us they need to talk to the person whose account the wrongly credited. This should not be relevant to us. This is their error and they need to sort it immediately.As we pay a management fee, we should be able to expect a professional service. Disappointing and inconvenient!
