Alex Crown Lettings & Estate Agents Islington reviews

I've been working with this agency for a number of years as a landlord and have been very happy with their service in finding reliable tenants and keeping an active channel of communication open between landlord and tenant in the event that problems arise. For example, in cases where maintenance has been required either at Alex Crown's request or the tenant's I've been informed promptly and been able to work with them to get any issues ironed out quickly. They have a 'get it done' attitude which has meant I can entrust them to sort out any niggles with the property efficiently, to look after the tenant's interests as well as my own. I've been impressed at the service provided to date and would recommend them.

I had a great experience with Alex Crown. We had only a few days to find a property to rent. Yovin and Ziaur worked over their shift hours and went that extra mile to get us into our new apartment in a matter of days. Their level of professionalism and responsiveness blew me away and they've continued to support us through this post-move stage. Some highlights: - extremely friendly staff, both before and after the contract closure - very quick correspondence (answer to e-mails within minutes) and work efficiently - great flexibility to help the tenant

Unprofessional. To sum up: we agreed a rental, we paid the deposit + all documents and went to the office to sign the contract. Then they said the rental was raised from our previous written agreement (I have all the emails). Never trust them even if you have a written agreement through email. Ah, funny fact is that I was paying from another currency and the interests were charged on me twice because the cheap agency refunded a total of what they received, so I had to pay the change also for their refund after their mistake. Miserable.

Extremely unprofessional agency! To begin, we had one viewing with them and the time arranged was 17:45 and at 17:45 we called the agent and asked where he was about and he told us he was gonna be late (thanks for letting us know in advance!) and he then asked us what time the viewing was arranged for!!!! Sriously??!! We finally met and during the conversation, we mentioned a couple times that it's gonna be the 2 of us but he kept forgetting like we never discussed or mentioned it! So after the viewing, we told him we are interested and gonna take the property. So after we paid the holding deposit, he came back to us saying the landlord wouldn't want a one week gap between moving in date and the current tenant moving out date. (Bear in mind we told him as well on couple occasions that the moving in date) thinking he would of already mentioned it to the landlord at the beginning and if that was not possible, we wouldn't have gone for the viewing! Have had come across different agencies before and I have to say this one is by far the worst! Avoid at all cost!

Rahman from Alex Crown lettings was extremely helpful. I had previous poor experiences with other lettings agents as a landlord so was wary. However, Rahman took the time to understand the situation and was both flexible and very efficient in helping get my property let. The day after first contacting Alex Crown, we had several viewings lined up and the first prospective tenants took the property immediately. They were moved in within the week. The crucial pre-qualifying of the tenants meant that we could move very quickly. I was thoroughly impressed with Alex Crown and I will definitely use them exclusively in future to let my property. Fantastic, professional service.

Completely unprofessional lettings and property management. Not only did we feel unsupported throughout our entire tenancy, but their communication with us was terrible. Genuinely have never had a worse experience with a lettings agency. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They are sleazy and will try and squeeze as much money out of you as possible.

I have worked with Alex Crown for 4 years now, as a landlord you ideally want to find tenants who are respectful of your property and neighbors. Alex Crown have the highest regard for finding this type of tenant, they are professional and always go the extra mile for both sides, tenants and landlord. I will continue to work with them in the future and have no problem in recommending them as a letting and sales estate agent.

After being let down by so many estate agents, these were by far the best who we dealt with! They were so quick in response and upfront and ensured we got the property we wanted. Jason (our agent for the property) was so helpful and friendly, and made the process so much easier than what we had experienced prior. Thank you all!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

If I could have given a zero I would. This letting company does not even deserve one star. Completely unprofessional, overcharge and under deliver at every given opportunity. Think carefully before you instruct this company and don't be fooled by the "5 star reviews"

Alex Crown, more like Alex Frown. Genuinely, made our tennacy experience hell. Unhelpful, unfriendly, and money grabbing company, who seem to only care about landlords. If you want to live in a habitable home, buy a tent over using these letting agents.

Complete false advertising on Zoopla, advertising a granny flat in the Landlords garden as a "self contained studio/apartment", price also was at market value of that for the area. Completely wasted my time, and asked for a viewing with 3 hours notice, the tenant was also asleep in bed. Dodgy time wasters!

Extremely happy! Alex Crown took me and my husband through everything and made it easy. They kept the lines of communications open. It's been so good to have a team who are willing to take you through every stage step by step. We weren't familiar with a lot of the intricacies involved but the team at Alex Crown made things very easy because they really held our hands through it.
