Our house sale had been languishing in the doldrums for several months. Many agents had noticed this and wrote to us frequently about what they could offer. These letters looked as if they had been generated by a computer and felt impersonal. By contrast, a more direct approach by Sam Ranger from Truemans got a meeting … and we engaged them. As an Executive Coach and Mentor, I (Mr Jackson) work with many business leaders, from CXOs in large Corporates to Directors in Startups like Truemans. Successful leaders (and by implication their successful businesses) have a number of key attributes: [a] They have a strong sense of Purpose and Vision that pervades their activity and creates ‘followership’ (from staff) and loyalty (from their customer base). => Truemans partner with you to understand your needs and they ’stay connected’ throughout the whole selling process. They even visited, and gave their opinion on, houses that we wanted to buy. [b] They make you feel as if you are the only customer that they are dealing with. => Throughout, the attention and focus of all the Truemans staff (i.e., not solely the Directors) made us feel that they were selling their own house, not (just) ours! [c] They display courage to provide direction at times of uncertainty and ambiguity. => Truemans started their business at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Matthew showed a high level of commitment and professionalism when selling two properties for me. Promptly responding to calls and emails and understanding the brief.
