We recently bought a flat through Mishon Mackay (Hove branch) and we had a very positive experience dealing with them. We initially dealt with Thomas Gannaway on the sale, and he was very helpful and responsive. The sale was finally closed with the help of a lot of work up and down the chain by Sarah McCarthy. Not only did Sarah have to deal with the problems presented by the Covid19 lock-down, but she also had to deal with a very late price renegotiation request from our buyers, and she did an excellent job.

Excellent trustworthy Estate Agents who went above and beyond.

We live in the USA and were selling my parents house in Brighton. We had only fifteen minutes to meet with Chris P initially when we were deciding whether to put it on. the market or not. We were struck by his professionalism and the feeling that he would do the best job for us that he could. He met all deadlines in sending us things and was both easy to get hold of and responsive. We also had some dealings with Tom who was also very good. In the present Covid-19 chaos, Chris was absolutely superb and did everything he could to ensure that the sale went through. We cannot recommend him and the firm more highly.

Absolutely delighted with the service provided by Mishon Mackay Kemp Town branch in selling my late Mother's house: Branch manager Alexandra was very helpful and knowledgeable in advising us on putting the property on the market and the assigned Sales Negotiator Josh Pennycott was superb throughout. Always friendly and helpful in manner, Josh was really good at keeping us informed on key developments, advising us on how to respond and liaising with all of the other parties involved. At all times, he was calm, positive, resourceful and well-informed; he was also very quick to respond to queries and completely reliable in following up and reporting back. It's hard to imagine how anyone could have done better and we are very grateful for what he achieved for us.

I've been tenant with Mishon Mackay agency almost 3 years now.On the beginning I wasn't very pleased. They had some communications problems, but this year is excellent.Jordan is always so polite and response for my emails in express time. One time he called me just to say thank you that he could pop in to my flat when I wasn't there. It was really nice of him. Lately I had many maintenance problems. I'm working 9-5 so I wasn't there when plumber come in. I messaged plumber for the update...no response, so I e-mailed Jordan. In a hour all my questions were answered.I moved many times using variety of agencies. So far this agency suits me the most. Thank you!

Genuinely hardworking Agents and great service

We were really happy with the service we received from Mishon McKay. Josh and Alex were really professional, friendly and were always really attentive and fast to reply to ours and our solicitors requests. They sold our house quickly through going the extra mile, contacting potential clients before the house was on the market! More importantly they made the whole process really stress free by their warm and genuinely supportive and trustworthy advice! Estate agents aren't all bad

We have just completed on our first time buy via Mishon Mackay Hove, and Sarah and Amy were great at keeping me informed and doing their best to calm my stress levels during a series of delays caused by the top of the chain, outside their control. They were always quick to reply to my requests for updates and provided much needed reassurance on a number of occasions. Should also add that before we second-viewed our house we decided "if Holly is doing the viewing again, it's a "sign" and we'll buy it". Thankfully, she was!

After dealing with plenty of different estate agents while looking for our new home we were so lucky that Mishon Mackay were the agent for the home we ended up buying. Unlike others they are actually professional & easy to talk to - You dont feel like you are being sold to. Alex a star during our flat purchase...

Mishon Mackay and specifically Alex Rathbone handled our purchase of a one-bedroom flat in Brighton. Throughout the process Alex was always in communication with me, always available and happy to visit the property on my request (several times) and dealt with the negotiation and exchange in a thoroughly professional manner. The exchange was delayed but I always felt that Alex was in my corner and pushing on my behalf. On the very rare occasion she wasn't available, her colleagues stepped in and were also excellent. It was a pleasure dealing with Mishon MacKay and Alex in particular. Dump your preconceived ideas of Estate Agents, these guys were excellent - I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Overall Excellent

Overall I thought that Mishon Mackay were very good managing agents. I was a tenant in the same flat for 7 years. Repairs were done promptly and efficiently. They were always thoughtful, available and friendly. There was one occasion on which a somewhat urgent piece of work concerning a broken toilet needed to be done. MM were not prepared to authorise it without Landlord approval, but the landlord was unable to respond as she had important personal matters to attend to. I think this policy needs reviewing to allow for common sense. With the exception of this one occasion I think the MM service was excellent.

After careful consideration of 4 estate agents we were most impressed with Damien and his team in Portslade to sell our house. He seemed personable and also most likely to be easy to work with throughout the sale to completion. Fantastic services from the entire team for the sale of my flat, and special thanks to Damien and Glenn who looked after the sale all the way through.From the initial meeting for valuation, Damien has really impressed us with his attention to details, and he worked very hard to understand our requirement and situation.We originally opted to have two agents representing our sale, as we thought that this would generate more viewings and attention from the market. But Damien’s team worked so much faster and harder, and communication with his team was much more efficient and easy. By the time the other agent sent us over the draft sales particular, Damien’s team already had conducted several viewings and offer negotiation had already started. I can highly recommend Chelsea at the Preston Park office. We had a bit of a roller coaster experience of selling our flat, so I feel that I experienced the two extremes of estate agents. We were badly let down by the first company we went on the market with, but I consider ourselves so lucky to have found Chelsea. I bought my flat using Mishon Mackay 7 years ago as a ‘new build’ although my type of building wasn’t classed as a proper new build so never had new build warranty. False promises and now £40k down due to the entire walls needing to be rebuilt. Work is still ongoing and could cost more. This company focuses more on ensuring they have a close relationship with the crook development companies selling off these places at a high premium when materials used were not up to standard! Thus making people live in properties which are not fit for purpose.
