TrustpilotMy Situation
I feel like I am wasting my time to find a property to rent and don't always get any response from the agent or the landlord. I am very serious about moving back home to Manchester to be near my poorly father. I also have mental health problems and have heart disease. I am on Universal Credit and feel that I am being discriminated against it. I am here in Wilmslow on my own no family or friends and the loneliness is unbearable and also been harassed by a neighbour. I am worried about my welfare and state of mind so I am trying so very hard to move. The sooner the better for my own sanity. I have not got any problem with the Zoopla site.

Hi Catherine,Thank you for leaving us a 5 star review. We’re really sorry to hear some of the agents you tried to contact via our site have not yet responded. If they haven’t replied within 3 business days, we recommend that you call them on the number displayed next to their branch in the ‘Find agents’ section of our site. Also, we prohibit listings on our website that include the term 'No DSS' and all of the properties on our website are now in line with our new regulations. We believe that all tenants looking to rent a property deserve the chance to be fully assessed for their suitability and matched to a home that suits both their's and the landlord's circumstances. As such, we do not have a functionality on our website which would allow you to search for properties whose owners/landlords allow DSS. In order to find out if DSS/housing benefits are accepted at a particular property that you are interested in, you will need to contact its marketing agent directly for more information. If you need to tailor your rental searches by any other criteria, here is a help centre article that will guide you through that process in just a few clicks.https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360006053137We do have a large database of qualified agents who can help you, their details can be found in the ‘Find agents’ section of our website: http://www.zoopla.co.uk/find-agents/If there's anything else we can do to help you with, be sure to visit our Help Centre where you may find many useful articles as well as a designated section for property seekers:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support

The concept of searching online is good but let down by its constituent parts. For instance one agent advised a reality tour was available but the link provided failed to show a film.It was frustrating that participant agents did not open for business week ending 31/12/20 which meant that I could not market my property or view what was on the market. My wife and I were both available for viewings that week but now the holidays are over, my wife is back to full time work so daytime appointments to view will be more difficult.

TrustpilotWhat a load of rubbish.
Zoopla cannot even transfer the basic information over from the land registry. Zoopla shows my property as semi-detached when land registry clearly lists as detached. Such bad quality of data and for something so simple to get right. I reckon someone with not much experience of coding could get this to work within minutes.

Hi,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We’re sorry to say we cannot manually change the information (property type, tenure & room numbers) we show about any property at the moment. We are in the process updating our House prices section including improving our property attributes data to a more accurate model. Unfortunately, we don’t have the ability to manually add, edit or remove any property attributes and changes will only happen when we receive additional data from our verified sources such as HM Land Registry and/or Registers of Scotland, RICS Certified surveyors data (subject to the availability), live 'For sale' listings on Zoopla and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC).We're exploring the best ways to improve our data accuracy using automated systems. That way, you won't need to tell us if we've got something wrong. It's a long process, but we're doing everything we can to find the best solution. Also, please note that your property attributes do not directly affect your estimate. Your house price estimate will continue to be updated every month. If you need any further assistance and wish to contact us directly with your feedback, you may do so via our designated Help Centre:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support

You should ban Spacelet "agency", they are taking money first, and then not showing homes like advertised. I paid 2 times. First time for the flats that was different price in advert, and second they didn't even showed me the flat i wanted. They are scammers, and you allow it. I put 2 stars because the other agencies are proper legit!

TrustpilotAbsolutely awful service
Absolutely awful service. I called up 4 times to try and arrange a viewing for a property but never heard anything back even after promising they would. If I was a landlord using them I would change agencies immediately, they have people desperate to view their properties but they end up staying on the market for ages because they can’t do their job properly. I was desperate for a house as the tenancy where I was currently was ending soon and was almost made homeless because of their incompetence.

Cause I haven’t found anywhere to live and it’s against the law now to discriminate against and say no DSS that’s all private landlords and your guaranteed your rent much more than working people and you only have to look at impact Covid has had. Also not every homeless person drinks or takes drugs or is a lazy layabout who doesn’t respect other people’s property. I am 55 female and I have never had so much trouble finding a place private that’s gonna allow a pet with xtra deposit in my hometown and I’m homeless thru domestic violence and rape so please Zoopla and landlords/ladies don’t judge everybody on DSS please but to repeat it’s illegal now to put no DSS. Look it up. I’m medically retired now. But I pay rent and on time and would never want , not that it’s my fault but to be stuck without family or friends to turn to and for 15 years I’ve rented and had a pat or two and never been any issues with rent or being on housing benefits so stop judging and start offering please as think of me in this shelter with no one loneliness and no pets to love and be loved and have my family again my animals and me. The site is easy to use but we are still having problems getting a property as the letting agents are not replying to my enquiries and landlords are false advertising in the fact that they are saying pets considered and even asking for extra money to cover pets then, when an enquiry is made, saying no pets. When i query this i am told they have to put this on. this is unfair and misleading. We have offered for the agent and landlord to meet the dogs but we are still not getting viewings.

TrustpilotA good Website. Could it be even better.?
I enjoy using Zoopla usually for a casual look, occasionally for a potentially serious enquiry. What’s missing [ or have I missed it ? ] is some narrow search facility eg. I’m looking for a Bungalow in, say, Newquay. Looking for one with ( for example ) a Sea View. I’d very much like to be able to imput that information into a search engine. It’s availability would save a lot of time & shouldn’t be impossible to achieve in this day & age. When it’s achieved 5* definitely. PRB.

I have replied to listings to be told they are no longer available a week later they are still listed so the estate agents can try to get your details. It would be great if there was an option to score estate agents that don't reply 6 haven't so far. Lastly I search with don't show shared even filter -shared and still I have to look through pages of shared properties. If they don't list as shared then remove them or fix your search. If these issues were fixed it would be 5* as it is its ok but could be better.

TrustpilotQuite efficient site
Quite efficient site. Most of the time I directly call to inquire because it's either takes too long to get a responce through email inquires or no response at all. And sometimes the email bounces back too. Also, alot of the properties I inquired were gone or not available anymore but that was not updated on the website. Pictures of properties were not updated too. For example you'll see online pictures of the property when it was last renovated and not in the condition that it's now in with current tenants. Which can be deceiving and disappointing.

TrustpilotGreat service and very useful tool for home search.
I think it’s a brilliant site in one space can view various options for different properties. Easy to filter through options for rent, new homes and sale homes. It also sends out an email once an interest has been registered which helps to keep track of the properties viewed and helps in organising dates. Also gives information on the running costs if interested to purchase which is quite handy. The online downside is it doesn’t give an option view the different frames or quick views of the uploaded pictures till it’s opened on full size which is available on Rightmove. Would be easier and saves time having this option.

TrustpilotThe whole concept of property portals…
The whole concept of property portals needs a rethink. If you're looking for a simple requirement, they probably work well enough, but if you have very specific requirements, they don't have enough reliable granularity to be useful.Specifically, we're looking for property with about an acre of land, and we're willing to cover a large geographic area. That's very difficult to filter (on any portal), mainly because there appears to be little control over the detail that agents are required to offer - using a keyword like "acre" works for some entries, but misses others where the agent refers to "land". One potential solution is to add operands to the use of keywords, so setting up filters for " acre or land" would find a wider range of properties. It would also be helpful to have a wider geographic area - up to 70 miles, rather than 40

The Zoopla website is excellent for checking on house prices in selected areas with the advantage of also seeing sold property estate agent details such as sold date & price, photos etc. Certainly saves trawling through Rightmove searches.Zoopla also provide useful articles and tips on buying, selling, renting. The only criticism is that the estimated house prices do seem to be a bit on the "light" side and are not updated very often. Also trend reports by RICS as well as estate agents would be welcome.

Hi Mike,Thank you so much for leaving us a 4 star review. It is great to hear that you are pleased with our site this much and we hope we will continue to help you with all things property related. Make sure you visit our Discover section for more information, articles and additional guidance:https://www.zoopla.co.uk/discover/We also appreciate your suggestion and feedback on our Automated Valuation Model. The accuracy of Zoopla estimates is influenced by a number of factors such as the current market values of homes, the quality of the information available on the given property and the availability of comparable properties in the area. This means that unique properties or those where the housing market is slower, may experience less accurate estimates. Renovations will take time to be recognised by the model. It is important to remember that our Zoopla estimates are intended to be used as a useful starting point for researching the value of your home and are not the same as an agent valuation. If you have recently refurbished your property by making material changes to its size or configuration, we suggest speaking to one of our estate agents who will inspect your home and take into account its unique features. Just in the process of selling our houseHad lots of interest from.the Zoopla search engine. It would be nice as the property owner to be able to log on and access statistics about not only how many views but also how many people went on to save the property and or contact the agent via the site. Also to be able to know how many people went on to share the property details with others. As for looking for a house for sale. The site is great. The other sent a form to a wrong email but I have been communicating with them from the start with emails.

The house price valuations are laughable for my area. I have no idea when they changed how they were calculated but they seem to now have a different approach. They clearly tried to be clever with it. I am in the process of selling My house and 2 potential buyers have questioned the valuation given and quoted zoopla being 40% less! Apparently, I can ask Zoopla to adjust their published valuation price of my home - why should I have to? They are the ones who set up this online tool - the previous valuation they had for my house used sale price, and market info. to reach a valuation and it was accurate.

Hi Suby,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback. All the for sale/to rent information on Zoopla is provided to us by the estate agents advertising the properties who are subject to our terms and conditions and code of conduct. When the status of their properties changes to either 'let' or ‘sold’, we request they mark the property as 'Let agreed' or ‘Sold STC’ on Zoopla if this is the case, but unfortunately, it seems sometimes this is not always done immediately resulting in our users finding listings in search results they did not expect. Listings generally take no longer than 24 hours to disappear from the website after the agent has requested its removal unless there was a technical error which we would be able to confirm. Our aim is to ensure that all information on our site is as comprehensive and accurate as possible so next time you see this it would be very helpful if you could select the ‘report listing’ option on the listing’s page (via desktop only). We will then investigate the issue further by speaking to the agent advertising the property. You can report them to us easily by following the steps outlined in this article:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360006033017If there's anything else we can do to help you with, be sure to visit our Help Centre where you may find many useful articles as well as a designated section for property seekers:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support

Trustpilotlooking for a friend
I've been looking for a friend who is soon to be evicted from his lodgings after 23 years. this is a scary time for him, but Zoopla have definitely helped to keep his mind focused, as they update me practically every day. Haven't found anything suitable yet but have come very close to it.Each day we check out anything that's new and have a good discussion on whether it would suit. Zoopla put all the fine details so it's easy to visualise what you are looking at in real times.I would definitely recommend them.Lyn E

Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
