I wanted to submit offer for a property, however the agent over the phone told me to put offer with other agency! I am not sure why agents need to be so arrogant with buyers this days!!

Unfortunately The Property Ombudsman Code of Practice specifies that agents ask clients to go back to the original estate agent to make their offer through them, providing it is within the first 6 months after the first agent was withdrawn from the property. Had we have taken your offer, the owner could have been liable for paying two fees, which may well have meant he not wish to sell to you. The advice given was provided in the aim of increasing your chances of success with this property. If you are interested in any other properties through us, we will gladly put forward any offers you make.

GoogleThe guys at Chestertons were excellent, Charlie especially! They really listened to us and only proposed us properties that would suit our family, no time was wasted. As with all journeys there were bumps in the road but we felt very reassured and confident that Chestertons would get us to our goal. We move into our new home in a week and are delighted, we would definitely recommend these guys and will certainly be using them in the future.

Simply a scam. We booked a viewing for one of the properties they listed and once we got there they showed us a completely different property, also badly kept, and certainly not what we were there to see. They justified themselves saying that there had been a mistake uploading the photos and that the very nice flat we saw in the first place was out of the market. In one word, scam and time wasters.

GoogleI’ve worked on my search with Marcus Hook and the level of attention, his focus on understanding my requirements in detail was a breath of fresh air. He didn’t try to push me to view property that was not within my specifications, which is often the experience I’ve had with other agents. On top of his professionalism, Marcus also has a wicked sense of humour and patience which helps dealing with the stress that moving can cause...
