Prompt, Truthful and with a Level of Care

I worked with Nishaad at the Pimlico office finding an apartment and it was a great experience. He was always three steps ahead and communicated with multiple parties to get the answers before I even had to raise the questions. He has always been prompt about my requests big or small, let alone I signed my apartment over Christmas and New Years. I found myself never have to bring up the same concerns twice since they are either resolved quickly or he was actively working on them / remembered them. I'd highly recommend.

I would like to praise Bart Chmielecki…

I would like to praise Bart Chmielecki of the Kew office for his lovely manner, calmness and professionalism in helping me to buy 1, Lamerton Lodge. I was a complete outsider who saw the details, and on calling the office, Bart was able to show me the flat in under 2 hours notice. I was driving to Devon the following day so had to make a quick decision. I immediately put in an offer, he informed me of an offer already being looked at, I upped mine to the asking price and asked him for the sellers to take it off the market, I had sold my house and was waiting for exchange/completion. I was very impressed that he worked hard liaising with the vendors and Chestertons of Chiswick, my agent, ending up securing the flat and was able to put his faith in myself that I was a serious buyer!We kept in contact throughout, Bart was so courteous even when time went on, having to be more patient than usual, due to the pandemic. Very poor service. In 4 weeks not one agent had been to my property. Yet I was advised by Samuel Wilkie:- "In regards to the painting I have a reasonable contractor to quote if needed, I have been to the property and feel a fresh paint is needed. I would also advise you paint the woodworks as they are a different coulor to the walls." A complete and utter lie, he had not been there. My tenant works from home and has the only keys. They used my current tenant's video to market the property for me and then wrote to tell me they had had 4 viewings!!!! When I enquired - They meant 4 viewings of the video!! No one had actually viewed the flat in person in that 4 weeks!!! Needless to say, I'm with a different agent now. The paintwork is absolutely fine just needs a little touching up in a couple of places as he subsequently agreed with me - by email.

Easily the best service I have received from an estate agent company. I was promptly contacted by associate Stav Nicola after expressing interest in renting the property to arrange a viewing. After confirming my interest in renting, Stav made the process of securing the property seamless and responded to all of my queries incredibly quickly, kindly and patiently helping me through each stage of the referencing process, ensuring I understood the information required on the Chestertons Portal, and promptly confirming payments made. The property inventory upon moving in was incredibly thorough, with clear signs left across the flat to, for example, highlight the functions of all switches, and a binder including instructions for all appliances being left out for me. I was also very grateful for the Chesterton’s care package left out for me upon moving in. All in all a seamless process, with incredibly kind service from associate Stav Nicola. Thank you!

Choose Aaron at Chestertons

We happened to be looking in one of the most chaotic and competitive environments for renting a flat since coming out of lockdown. We were constantly emailing and calling over 20 different agencies to try to get viewings for flats, and not hearing back from anyone or not able to schedule any viewings. The moment we saw a flat listed with Chestertons we gave their office a call and was able to speak to Aaron, who was both friendly and professional. While the flat we were interested in had already been rented, two months in advance, he immediately asked us what our parameters were and sent me an email seconds later with three or four options for available flats. I was scheduled to view another flat with another agent an hour later, and I quickly asked if Aaron could show me one of the flats he suggested after that other showing. He was not only able to arrange a viewing with one hour notice after meeting me but also made it work for my schedule and we were the first ones to see the flat, even before it went on the market. That flat ended up being the one we are living in and we couldn’t be happier! Throughout the process Aaron was so responsive and helpful, going out of his way to make sure that we were clear on the process and answering all of our questions immediately. Aaron was a joy to work with and made a process that can sometimes be unpleasant and daunting, very accessible and enjoyable. He is clearly dedicated to helping people find their new home and brings a level of enthusiasm, passion, and humanity to an industry that can feel very transactional or clinical. You’d be lucky to have Aaron as you’re letting agent and we will be recommending him and his colleagues at Chestertons to all of our friends!

Avoid to be tenant on a property they manage

Clearly, I would've recommend to add some clauses to the standard tenancy agreement to avoid problems listed below, or better do not have a deal with them at all.Do not go with them, they just ignorant and incompetent.1) They lied that flat will be professionally cleaned. There was dirty windows, dust and bird poop on the floor, some old food in the fridge (Consider that we moved in 2 weeks after tenancy started!)2) Agent keep feeding me "I will call you back" for 2 weeks about the sofa we agreed to be removed from the apartment, and now stopped answering calls at all.3) They send an engineer to estimate prices to change the broken mixer in shower and clogged tap. We agreed for slot 9AM-12PM, but no one appeared. I called 4 times to the agency, and they were not able to tell me wether the engineer going to visit or not. Finally, the engineer arrived at 6PM, without any prior notice and said that he received the order on 4PM at the same day. Notice, that it is clearly ONLY communication problem - they were aware of the delay, but were not able to tell me about that, even when I tried to call.4) They didn't manage even negotiate with a landlord the plumbing change for a week! For now it is very hard to use the bathroom, as there are almost every piece of plumbing is broken and ventilation does not work. When I called to them to understand the timings, they said that the person which is responsible for that is not available and recommended me to write an email (on which they are not replied)I don't know why I forced paying to them (as the price is clearly included in the rent). They are really just a broken link in communication and should be eliminated from there.UPD: they didn't even checked the heating system at all ! All the heating controllers are broken, a long time ago, damaged by a liquid from the very old batteries, which are started to leak.Also, shower mixer is completely broken now, there is no hot water there. Their engineer recommended me to "use bucket to mix the hot and cold water" and said that this is not an emergency.Even their branch manager is powerless to chaise anything. He is in the email tread with description of this situation, and still nobody called me back today for 6 hours for the urgent matter as they promised.

UPDATE: We were informed that everything had been signed to move in to a new property. Then under 2 weeks before our move in date we were informed that the landlord never in fact signed and we wouldn't be able to move in leaving us without a flat (and the previous call reassuring us everything was sorted with the contracts was a lie). We were then told they would support us with finding a new property as soon as possible but they didn't do anything of use. Very disappointing service. Giorgio was always very helpful and helped us secure our flat with ease. He was easily contactable and answered all my questions fast which made it a much less stressful experience than I’ve had in the past. So far has been a great experience and Giorgio has added to that by being great.
