My father in law passed away and he left his house to my wife and I aswell as her two siblings. We were recommended to use Kimmet and Roberts by a friend who had used their sales team in Houghton. David Kimmet came to visit us and advised us on the best way to deal with the selling of the home, the viewings and the offers. He advised us that he belived the property would have quite a high level of interest, and recommended we offer the property to the market using Sealed Bids. A method we had never really heard of before. We were a bit dubious about this, but went along with it. The property was entered on the market, individual viewings carried out and a deadline for the entry of sealed bids was specified and stressed to all who viewed. The viewers were also encouraged by Kimmets to provide a snippet of information about their plans for the house. This was very important to us as we felt the home should go to a family or somebody who wanted to live there. All of the way through we were kept informed of the viewing levels potential offers we expected to recieve. The day following the closure of the sealed bids we met David back at the property, we opened the bids and he gave advice on the best offer to take. On a side note we got an offer of nearly £20,000 over the On the market price. Something we could never really of imagined. We subsequently met the lady who offered and sold to her.I cannot reccommend this agency highly enough. Not only did they get the job done in a manner I was particularly unfamiliar with, they did it with care and sensitivity, especially surrounding the circumstances and the death of a family member and letting go of a house that had been in the family for over half a century (and most importantly, dealing with my very emotional wife).Thank you David, Gail and the team. My only regret is that I didn't write this sooner (sorry I'm new to Facebook)

Amazing service from Jonathan ! From the moment he came to value our house he was extremely professional yet very friendly. No jargon talk etc, very understandable and approachable answering all the many questions I had given that I’ve never been through this process before. After spending the night considering everything Jonathan returned the following day and took all the photos and videos needed to advertise our house, he has kept me updated all the way through, there hasn’t been any time where I’ve not known what’s going on. My house was on sale within 3 hours of Jonathan being at my property, it could have been sooner had my partner been available to sign paperwork! Fingers crossed we get a sale and can start our next chapter but up to now the team have been fabulous and we are so grateful. Thank you!!

House has been up since February. Not a single phone call, update or discussion - set up an open viewing after I called them with a few days notice: needless to say it was a waste of time and even the agent was 15 minutes late to a 30 minute slot. One exception was one phone call where I was TOLD to reduce the price, when I refused due to lack of feedback or data to back up this ‘advice’. Radio silence since. Staff on the phone are apathetic at best. I’m so disappointed in their customer care - not even the fact the house hasn’t sold - the market is to blame for that. But my treatment as a customer has been appalling.

Cant thank Denise enough for going that extra mile with our difficult house sale, all 10 months of it! The service from kimmitt & Roberts has been outstanding. We looked at other alternatives in the area to put our house for sale up without they weren't as professional as k&r, lacked local knowledge, didn't seem as professional & didn't give us confidence on going with them, some were quite rude! I would recommend you go with k&r who take the stress out of selling. This is why they are the top sellers in the area & blow all other Estate Agents out of the water. They may not be the cheapest but it's money well spent, you definitely get what you pay for. Thanks again Denise for excellent service �����
