Unskilled and uncaring

From the first visit to collect my keys to the new house, HOP set a terrible impression. The office was short staffed and any staff members present were engaged not in work but in throwing things at each other and running around like children. It became clear as my tenancy progressed that this was their usual routine, they never lifted a finger to help with a single issue unless persistently and repeatedly emailed and called. What responses I did receive were short, dismissive, and terribly spelled. Nobody at HOP takes any pride in their work, nor has any aptitude for it. If you’re looking to become a property manager, just rent with these guys, and you’ll soon be doing all the work.

We initially had some confusion with HOP over the tenure of the property as it wasn’t clearly advertised as a leasehold property meaning we had to reapply for our mortgage after the lender’s survey enlightened us to the lease which resulted in additional solicitor fees. Apart from this hiccup, we then continued the process with the help of Lucy who was brilliant throughout the rest of the process of our sale. She fully kept us up to date with everything and went above and beyond to ensure we understood all of the steps of the process and always had time to answer our questions and help us out. I was initially apprehensive about using a company to help me with finding a property in a city I had never been to. Regardless I took the plunge and decided on using HOP. From day one I have been assisted by Neil Dawkin who has guided me every step of the process . This included many zoom calls to work out exactly what my long term plan is. Helping me find a suitable property and guiding me with the works needed to the property so it can be handed over to HOP's letting team to manage. Anyone who is thinking about using a deal sourcing company should look no further than HOP. It has been a pleasant experience and considering this was my first rental property I could not be happier with how things are going. Ashleigh and Joseph I have worked with and they literally take the time out for the tenants. They answer all your queries and understand the stress you are under and they keep you updated about the littlest things by email and phone so you don't feel ignored.
