Terry( Female staff)was absolutely amazing. She was very honest and professional throughout . she always been very kind and understood the pressures when I explained to her about our experience we had with other easte agency. I had been liaising with Terry for few months . Terry's communications was very good and prompt replies always. Overall received fantastic service, will definitely recommend others to approach readings for sale or purchase. Readings Property Services are extremely approachable and friendly. I’ve dealt with a lot of estate agents in the past and honestly can say they are miles apart in terms of customer services. I strongly urge anyone to check their google reviews which shows Readings agents true colours and not here. I have them the benefit of the doubt but learnt the hard way. As a buyer you will come to learn that readings are very rude and pretty incompetent. My mortgage broker, our surveyor, even other estate agents have experienced their impoliteness and all seem to know about their bad reputation. We were in the process of buying with them and got a home buyers report done which came back with major safety risks plus the property was valued less than offered, - apparently to them electrical standards, gas, and everything you could think of is 'minor'. Given that they weren't going to offer any reduction whilst threatening to put the property back on the market several times by voicemail- we told them we weren't pulling out and wanted to get a builder/electrician in to understand the cost of fixtures. They didn't reply to me, put the property on the market the next day and have now sold it to someone else without telling us. You will notice they put properties on the market, without any floorplans, EPCs, it really is just about getting the most commission and doing the bare minimum with them. Our solicitors had completed everything on our side yet 3 months down the line nothing was completed by their side but the moment we mentioned our report to them they were calling me all throughout the working day threatening to put our property back on the market if they didn't hear from me within 2 hours. Apologies for the lengthy review - I could actually go on! I'm not even one to give a bad review but they really are liars and all I want to do is give a pre warning to anyone dealing with them. I just wish I could warn the people buying the property we were going for.

GoogleWhat a shambles of a letting agency. Where do I start. Firstly it took me 16 attempts on the phone to reach someone. When I did get through they didn't have any information on the property so they said they would ring back, never did. The next day I rang back again after unsuccessfully trying to get a viewing. Wanted to put a deposit down on the property but couldn't get through. When I did get through the guy said he would ring back up, never did. So I rang a couple of hours later again he said he would get straight onto it. rand back an hour later saying the property has just gone. Absolute balls up and incredibly angry at the service. It was like trying to get blood out of a stone.

Wildly fluctuating sales price given to get the business, no EPC obtained for listing, zero contact regarding sales progress, no evident effort to market property other than sticking it on Rightmove. Just very shoddy customer service. I believe there are many good, competent agents out there, I just wanted to support a local business, but in the case of Readings, it’s evident why they’ll always be a back street, second rate operator in the market.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

We changed Estate Agents after trying to sell our house for 8 months with not one offer. The Reading's Team took us on and had the house sold within a month. They kept us in the loop throughout the whole process and any delays we were informed about. They were cheerful, friendly and efficient and made the selling of our house almost stress-free. They were also able to recommend an excellent solicitor and removal firm. They are a committed family team and we would have no hesitation in recommending them for your house buying or selling

GoogleWorst property service i’ve Had to deal with in my life ... I just rented one of thier properties in Dagenham and it’s been hell literally... first of all the property was in a very bad distasteful condition and they couldn’t even get any workers in there , mind you they had a whole month before my move in date ... I have complained about my boiler, oven and fridge not working and it been 3 week still they can’t seem to find someone to come round to sort it. Thier customer service is extremely appalling.I won’t even recommend them to my worst enemy.. smh

One always wonders about Estate Agents, but I have to say the service we were given by Terri in particular and the team around her was excellent. We found that there is a very friendly approach and they are honest when things get a little difficult a rare ingredient these days. Communication is always very important and when there was further information available you could be sure that you would get a call to let you know. GoogleAn absolutely brilliant and hands on estate agency. All of the staff we dealt with were very professional in all aspects when we sold our house through them last year. They will go above and beyond for their clients. I'd definitely recommend and have recommended Readings to people I know who either wanted to sell or put their property on let.

Liz did a great job, supporting me when I was on meltdown. She chased countrywide everyday as they were dragging the sale which took an amazing 24 weeks . I would never accept an offer again from a buyer who were using countrywide.

GoogleAwful experience, rented a place through them in East london. 250 GBP were deducted out of my deposit, no explanation or reasons given whatsoever. On top of that new tenant or someone in control of the post to that house impersonated me,took control of my bank account and took out credit cards in my name. They were singularly unhelpful in helping me deal with the situation.

GoogleDon't touch this letting agency with a barge pole is my advice. They take your money quick enough but getting money owed at the end of the contract was like getting blood out of a stone. Loads of telephone calls had to be made as what they said was going to happen did not happen for weeks. Diabolical experience! Would have given no stars if this was possible.
