We had the pleasure of dealing with Beresfords in Hornchurch for the sale of my mother-in-laws property on Norman Road this September. Scott, Michaela & Georgia worked extremely hard to get the sale over the line and I am relentless in not leaving anything to chance. This was against the odds as the buyer was the most rude, obnoxious and deliberately difficult person ever. She lied continuously about where she was at in the process, having her mortgage secured, surveys, transfering the funds and on. She blamed it all on her attorney who was not to blame. We had to pull the sale from her 3 times because of her failure to respond to emails, texts or telephone calls from the agents or her own attorney. It was all the more difficult for us as we live in California and the buyer tried to take advantage of this. Thankfully, this was all dealt with professionally and at ease by the team at Hornchurch and we got there. By no way were the delays down to them. We highly recommend Beresfords of Hornchurch.

Great Service

My wife and I had a lovely viewing with Riley, who was friendly and was honest in answering all the questions we had. We didn't feel we had to hurry and leave - both Riley and the tenant made us feel welcome and it was one of the easiest viewings I have had in recent memory. Excellent property management team and personal experience with Kate Haywood

Was a tenant in a property managed by Beresfords for the last 4 years plus. Property management team always excellent and sorted out any maintenance issues promptly. However have to give special kudos to Kate Haywood, the ever patient inventory clerk who performed our regular inspections and also our checkout admirably. I think it's easy to discount their role especially since they tend to be bearers of bad news but Kate was always helpful and gave us constructive advice whenever she could. Definitely made the moving out process less stressful!

Hannah Grant - exceptional

I am having issues with a tenant who asked for a section 21 notice (29 Radcliffe House) and then stopped paying her rent. Hannah Grant has been superb in liaising with me, Paragon and the tenant. She is dealing with a very difficult tenant in terms of communication but has stuck at the task until she gets an answer. She has advised the tenant of the risk she is taking in not paying her rent, so is not only looking after my interests but also the tenants. She has also dealt with the claims process with Paragon, saving me time and effort.In all my dealings with Hannah I have found her to be totally professional, trustworthy and extremely personable. She is someone who seems to go above and beyond my expectations. In my view, she is a real asset to Beresfords.

I am delighted for the opportunity to write a review about the priceless contributions of the Beresford Team in our journey to becoming a buy to let landlord. It’s being quite a roller coaster ride!The proactiveness of the Mortgage Adviser, Pindar, enabled us to beat the deadline of a good mortgage rate offer with few hours left. Finding a suitable property in the right location was an uphill task. After several weeks of scouring the market, endless property viewings and disappointments, we were signposted to 10 Wren Road. To be honest I was sceptical about getting the property. The openness and Professionalism of the Rob who conducted me around during the viewing, encouraged us to put in an offer and pray to get it accepted by the seller.The offer acceptance was followed by several months of waiting for the necessary probate paperwork to come through. It was like waiting forever! Throughout the long wait, the Beresford Team kept us posted all the way. Holly Hall and other members of the Team were exceptional in giving regular updates. Without their constant communication and reassurance, we would have walked away. It was a nail-biting wait; we were able to exchange contract within the 2 weeks of grace after expiration of the mortgage offer. Thank you Guys, we are forever grateful to you and to God.We are personally thankful to Karen for her guidance on the refurbishment and decoration works required to get the property to a good shape suitable for tenancy. Her first visit to the property was thorough, nothing missed her attention to details. She went through long list of improvements required. From jet-washing the walkway to make it more presentable, to removal of existing polystyrene ceiling tiles for statutory reasons, removal of bathroom barrel locks for health and safety reasons, changing old electrical switches etc and the urgent need to obtain building Landlord insurance ASAP before start of the renovation / redecoration works. It was a long list and every item on it was necessary. Furthermore, she explained with clarity, details of the professional fees that will be charged for Beresfords services and offered some generous discount as an encouragement. We are so grateful for her wisdom and guidance. Next was the uphill task of getting suitable Tenant. With many interests from prospective Occupants, the meticulous efforts of Karen’s Letting Team made it far easier to identify the right Tenants with good credit rating for the property. Without the five-star performance / professionalism of the Beresford Team and God’s help, we will not have been able to record success this far. I highly recommend their Team to anyone considering embarking on buy to let property rental journey. It is always good to be guided by those who know and have proofs to show for it. Thank you.

I wish all agents were as reliable/easy to deal with as Alice and Christine from Beresfords. Very friendly service all round. They took a lot of the stress and frustration I was experiencing from other agencies out of the equation.Trying to find a somewhere in the current climate with so many people going for each property is frustrating. Majority of agents I spoke to wouldn't even do simple things like return calls/emails or couldn't get through to them on phone lines. With Beresfords being the polar opposite to my experiences elsewhere, returning calls and doing what they said, when they said they would was a breath of fresh air. Mixed experience with communication but Lauren's help made a difference

I recently changed my contract with Beresfords for the property I own and rent through them. I switched from full management contract to let only contract.However, I was not happy with the process at first because it was a misunderstanding between me and the letting department. They did not respond to may emails and questions and I felt ignored. It was frustrating because I expected them to assign someone to help me since I was under full management contract. When I was about to lose hope, Lauren Johnson stepped in and contacted me firstly by email then by phone. She not only acknowledged the miscommunication but also took the time to clearly explain the entire process of changing contracts. Lauren made sure I understood the necessary steps for the contract switch and was open to discussing any concerns or questions I had. I would like to say a big thank you to Lauren for her support. Her actions reflect positively on Beresfords and demonstrate the value of having knowledgeable and customer-oriented staff members. She is undoubtedly an asset to Beresfords. While the initial breakdown in communication was disappointing Lauren's intervention and assistance turned the situation around. I naturally have very high expectations and I have to say that Beresfords consistently exceeded them. Our property, unexpectedly came up for renewal in November and I was incredibly concerned about the prospect of finding a new tenant with it being so close to Christmas. I spoke to Karen and she was absolutely fabulous. She reassured me, took control and skilfully guided us through the process.
