TrustpilotIT IS OBVIOUS
It is clearly obvious that anchor housing association are now asking new tenants to rate them on trustpilot when they first move into their property obviously these new tenants have no insight what anchor are really like, the scheme managers change their rules as and when they want to on tenants living in the scheme, can see right through anchor of their tactics trying to get better reviews from the truthful red stars from tenants to 5 green stars from new tenants who are oblivious to anchors tactics They definetly need investigating undercover from BBC s Panorama.

TrustpilotAbsolutely Dreadful Company
Absolutely dreadful company, especially since taking over from Hanover. I moved on to this estate a few years ago and I was hoping to stay here for the rest of my retirement, but even in my advanced years I are now seriously thinking about selling up and moving on (if I can sell my place that is). We get nothing for our money (except grief). Anchor clearly put money above the welfare of their residents. I think they are ignorant, bullying and arrogant. My best advice is to stay well clear of them.

Trustpilotthey dont care about the people
Our beloved mother and grandmother moved to anchor homes heather court in Rotherham about 6 months ago. She was told they had group activities and social events and this was paramount to her moving in. Once in she discovered that the manager had actually stopped all activities and when they asked if they could arrange a craft meeting they were shot down with an absolute no! Margaret passed away two months ago and we respected the request not to enter as people were vulnerable. However, last month the manager called and demanded we empty her flat within one week. This was while lockdown was still fully in force but the clearly only wanted the money to rent the room out. She demanded we remove brand new carpets and also the ones that were there before Margaret arrived. Al involved people walking to and from through the care home corridors and social areas and seating. MAny elderly people came into close contact with removals workers and me and my family as we have rushed inbetween working from home and educating our children etc with nobody who could take or kids. I find it strange that they say it was definitely safe for us to do so as its still not safe for us to be near our familes. While emptying we met an 87 year resident trying to move bits of carpet by carrying on and using her walker at the same time. She has to cut with scissors piece by piece, getting on the floor to do it. The manager demanded her to get all carpets moved and refused to offer any assistance or help. The manager is working from home to keep herself safe but has no interest in the safety of the residents. I feel this care home could be fantastic but not under teh current manager and the current situation.

Hi PoI am very sorry to hear about the passing of Margaret. I genuinely empathise that clearing a loved one's property is difficult in normal circumstances and in your case, made even more so by COVID.I would really like the opportunity to be able to discuss this with you in more detail and to understand the experience that you had whilst clearing Margaret's property. I have sent you a private message but if you would prefer to contact Customer Relations when it is convenient for you please call 0345 602 5516, we are open between 08:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday.Alternatively you can email the team at customer.relations@anchorhanover.org.uk. I moved into my anchor property in Jan . Really love it here studio flat the right size for me to look after . Also feel part of a community you can join in if you want or shut your door if you want privacy. From looking around available properties to signing for one was a very quick transaction and everything explained on the day and in the welcome package. Would recommend this s company if you are looking for an over 55 property.

Visited the establishment Friday morning 10-30 with my Wife & her sister to see her husband Phil Gardiner who is 83 & now suffering from Dementia & is in here for a stay of 2 weeks to give her a rest. On entering you get a feel about a place it was very clean, well lit, no unpleasant odours.walking to the day centre we met carer Jane White who made us very comfortable offering us refreshments. We soon found Phil doing a puzzle wth another patient, you could see he was enjoing himself. We all finished our coffees & went to look at his room. Excellent in every way. The weeks food menue for choice looked very apertising. As was the entertainment programme. All the staff very helpful polite & well dressed. an excellent well run establishment hence my 5 star rating. From Albert Jones

TrustpilotLovely places and a great environment
I attend Rossefield Manor in Leeds every Friday and deliver a chair-based exercise session every week no matter the weather everyone is in good spirits from the office staff to cleaners and cooks they are all smiling and laughing with the residents. I can't wait for a Friday morning every week because the residents are always in a great mood, laughing and smiling, and because the staff are welcoming and friendly, it makes for a very happy environment for all! The only bad thing about this place is that every session goes too quickly! Which in all honestly is a sign to me that this place is doing something right!

She did everything that had to be done, and made me very welcome. The flat was excellent for me and fits my needs.I've lived in a few places in my life time. For me this is in my opinion is the best. I would have no hesitation to refer anyone who is looking for a nice comfy flat.Thank you.

TrustpilotThieves and liars
Absolutely disgusting landlords. Unapproachable Manger who turns up at 9.45 and departs at 3.30pm 3 days a week. Keeps the blinds closed and locks the door on the inside! Supposed to have an open door policy. When you do knock on the door , Manager opens it a bit and you have to stand at the door to speak. I have requested to know where the £82,000 of residents money is and why our service charge has increased by £20. The answers are not acceptable. Residents have fled to live with relatives due to the almost bullying by management. Maintenance includes gardening but this, when questioned, actually means grass cutting. No weeding, no trimming of plants, so we can do this ourselves!!! So they get round this by stating it’s garden maintenance not weeding. One washing line to be shared by 30 properties. They favour couples over single people whereas previously when Hanover, you went on a list and whoever were at the top got the next available property. Fairer system. They cover their backs all the time and do not our residents first. When you question anything by the proper channels, you just red tape. They need to be investigated. It’s like another vase of Mr. Bates v The Post Office

TrustpilotWhere to start
Where to start? First of all, Anchor is no longer 'affordable housing'. The Service charges are exorbitant and about to get worse because of nuisance tenants causing further expense by damaging the property, but instead of charging those particular tenants for the repairs, we all have to shoulder the cost, despite management knowing who they are. When we complain, we are told 'we need proof' despite the fact we know and they know who it is. Police are never away from the door, but also seem powerless do anything. There's no such promised 'security' as same tenants leave all the fire exits open unattended so anyone can just walk in off the street. No point in having a buzzer system at the front if anyone can come in the back door! Someone will end up getting robbed or worse and they still won't do anything. All they care about is having an easy life for themselves, making excuses and blaming the decent tenants who complain about the nuisance neighbours.

TrustpilotRent/ service charges
I moved into a 1 bedroom flat on February 16th 2016 and the rent and service charges were very reasonable. £543. i have been there 8 years this month and last April my rent and service charges went up to £671. my top up went from £54 to over £100, and i just received my rent letter for this year and the rent and service charges are going up to £702. thats an increase of £30 which means my top up will be well over £100 making it impossible to live here. if you are are thinking of moving into a property with Anchor i wouldn't bother. I am waiting to move to Devon where it is much cheaper.
